A Train to New Beginnings, and Family
As the Hogwarts Express chugged along the tracks towards Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. I had no idea what to expect, being a muggle born, but I tried to read as much as I could about it.
As I made my way through the crowded train, searching for a compartment to sit in, I couldn't help but feel drawn to sit with the older students, considering that's what I was used to with my brother and all, but I assumed they wouldn't want a first year to sit with them. Just as I was starting to worry that I wouldn't find a place to sit, a few 3rd years invited me to sit with them. Immediately I felt safe. They introduced themselves. The girl, Charlotte went first. She's a Ravenclaw, but mostly hangs out with Hufflepuffs. She seemed very nice, I believe I will look up to her as a big sister at some point. Then the boy, Theo. He's a Hufflepuff. He reminds me of my big brother. I started to talk to them and tell them about my life before I got here, Theo said he would take over the 'Big Brother role' until I go back home to riven.
A little time passed before the trolley lady stopped by our apartment, Charlotte bought us all some Bertie Botts every flavor beans, and we started to play a game with them. After a bit, another 1st year walked in, A boy named Nox. He asked if he could sit with us, cause the compartment he was in started getting too crowded. "Of course!" Theo said cheerfully. He sat next to me and immediately started talking about how excited he was to be at Hogwarts. He came from a Pureblood family, but not the prestigious, rude kind. His family has taken in pureblood children who were thrown out of their families for not having the same views as their parents. We all started talking and agreed that we were now friends. Charlotte and Theo said they would help us wherever we needed and take us under their wing. I'm glad I found my people.
