OOC: This will be an ongoing collection of Letters between Tes and her family. I will be writing some letters backdated to the start of the school year soon, but first I'm starting with a letter I've been wanting to write to advance Tes's story. This is mostly a reminder to myself to order them chronologically later...

My darling granddaughter, it was lovely to see you over Christmas break. I hope you enjoyed your presents and have been minding your manners better since I last saw you. You have grown into such a fine girl once you get a bit of polishing up. I do love your mother, but she was never very disciplined herself due to her unfortunate condition, growing up so far away from home. Poor dear. Look where she ended up! You don't want to end up like her, of course.
Do not worry one bit about it, because I've spoken with your mother, and she has agreed to let you come home where you belong and spend the summer with me. Before you get your bonnet in a twist, you will not be here the whole time. Your mother is incredibly stubborn when she wants to be, and was worried you'd be disappointed not getting to spend the summer with your friends. I do not believe you will be missing them will all the lovely people I will introduce you to, but I do not like to fight. Perhaps next year you will do a better job of convincing her.
Please respond to this letter with the appropriate care, despite the joy I am sure you are feeling. I have seen your handwriting and I would prefer to not see it like that again if I can help it! Once you have acknowledged this letter I will reply with more details as to your summer schedule. I have such great plans.

My darling granddaughter, thank you for your prompt response. Your handwriting was slightly improved, and although I would have appreciated more emphasis on how excited you are, it was still lovely to hear from you.
As you can imagine, it is very important to know how to properly interact with people of our caliber. Since you have no experience this, it has come to my attention there is a student you could attempt speaking to. To put it gently, there is not much on the line if he does not respond well to your friendship offers, but he is still from a family of good status. He will be a good first effort.
His name is Levi Hawthorn, and if he looks the same as he does last I saw him with his family, he is shorter than you, with curly black hair and black eyes as well. He is in Gryffindor, if that helps. Be sure to be well groomed, and introduce yourself as a Blackwood. Keep your language proper, don't use any of your usual mix of slang. A proper introduction would be: Hello, my name is Tesla Blackwood, and I am in Hufflepuff. Might I ask your name?

Letter From Tes to her mums

Momma and mum,
I have my first quidditch game tomorrow! It's Hufflepuff vs. Durmstrang, and I'm on the bench for beater. I'm really excited. I miss you both so much. It's crazy I've been away from home for so long, and summer camp is just making it longer. Say hi to all the animals for me please!
I don't want to go to America when I get home. I want to just stay home and feed the horses and run around the countryside. I wish there was a way I could see home any time I want to while I'm gone. I miss it bunches.
