Mellani entered Magical Menagerie, all ready to get a new pet for herself. Now which one should she take?

Mellani needed something that didn't require much maintenance and didn't cause too much trouble. The owls looked like they wouldn't cause much trouble but Mellani feared that they might fly away and she didn't want to keep them confined in their cages so, she moved on to the cats.

Many of the cats caught her attention. She actually wanted to get one but they seemed like they would need a lot of looking after and would make a mess. Mellani didn't think she was ready for all that just yet.

She hoped she would be able to find a pet she would actually be able to take care of because, so far, she was not succeeding. She glanced over at the toads, rats and spiders.Too small... she thought to herself before arriving to the pygny puffs. They're so cute... And the purple one looks so much like a furry ball. I like the shade too! They seem about the right size, don't look like they'd run away or cause a mess and don't look like they'd require much maintenance either. I think I could do with one of these...

Mellani picked up a purple pygmy puff and smiled at it, petting it slowly as it squeaked. It was the cutest thing Mellani had ever seen. Now, for it's name... It was a female so she would need female names. Lavvy? Did that sound female enough? Mellani shrugged. It did to her. She had named it Lavvy after it's colour, Lavender.

"I'm going to call you Lavvy", she said, petting the pygmy puff wwhile smiling softly at it. Her life was getting lonely lately. Maybe Lavvy could give her company.

She picked Lavvy up and went to the counter, smiling at the couple present there. "I'd like this purple pygmy puff, please." she said and smiled as she took the pygmy puff and went back in the direction to Hogwarts, wondering if she should buy Lavvy some small toys on the way. Maybe later. For now she would have to learn how to take care of her pet first. She taken a plant for a pet recently on the occasion of World Environment Day. Hopefully taking care of a pygmy puff wouldn't be too different even though a pygmy puff was very different from a plant.
