Studying Astronomy in the Study Room
I stepped inside the Study Room with my arms full of textbooks, parchment, and quills. The room was quiet, perfect for studying for the upcoming exams. There were already some other students from all different houses, sitting at desks with their heads down focusing on their textbooks. So I chose a seat and surrounded myself with books, parchment and quills, ink, and a bag of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. Dipping my pen into some ink, I started taking notes from my Astronomy textbook. Every once in a while glancing up and taking notice of the people coming in and out of the room as they started and finished their work.
As the hour passed, I began to feel overwhelmed and anxious. So I stopped and looked around the room, trying to calm myself. Upon noticing a large telescope in the corner of the room I stood up and walked towards it. As I took a look through it I gasped. The view was breathtaking. The stars shone bright, and I lost myself in the beauty of the universe for a few moments.
Feeling refreshed and energized from my short break, I sat back down and turned my attention to my Astronomy essay which was homework due the next day, only this time I felt a newfound appreciation for the wonders of the universe.
