New beginnings
Kaleb could not believe that he was here! On the Hogwarts Express! He was ecstatic when he got the owl saying that he was accepted, this was his goal, his dream. Yet he was feeling a bit empty, he was missing his sister, the garden he would so often meditate in and most of all, his family. As he tried to push these thoughts aside and focus on the adventure ahead the train started moving and he needed to find a place to sit down. Wandering to the front of the train he finally found an empty spot and decided to claim it before anybody else did. With the train speeding up he looked out the window to see how urban metropolis transformed into quiet suburbs and after some more time those suburbs became lush green valleys and hills rolling after each other. They look like they are in a never ending game of tag, he smiled to himself and began reading some random book out of his trunk to pass some time. At what Kaleb decided to be a half way point in the journey he heard a voice.
"Would you like something to eat, young man?"
Kaleb raised his head and realized it was an old woman pushing a trolley filed with all kinds of sweets.
Since he wasn't hungry he just smiled at the lady and shrugged his head. At the time he started to notice that the train was stopping and he understood that the journey on the train was ending.

New beginnings
Niks was excited to start at Hogwarts. Her parents had both been to Hogwarts when they were younger, and they had told so may fantastic stories!
She was also a little bit scared for the sorting. She had a strong feeling that she would be Ravenclaw or Slytherin, but what if she was actualy a Gryfffindor or Hufflepuff? She knew her parents would be proud of her, no matter what house she would be sorted in. But that didn't take away the feeling.
She sat down in a compartiment that was empty, but then a few older girls entered the compartiment and started talking. She didn't mind them and they didn't mind her. She sat the whole journey in silence, readin a book about creatures.
She was a bit sad that she didn't really make friends on the train, because they were all older. Niks isn't really social, so she hoped that she would meet some nice people 'on accident' or that someone would approach her.
She bought some candy from the Trolley Witch, a chocolate frog and a few licorice wands. She didn't really like Bertie Botts' Every Flavour Bean (she once had a vomit bean when she was younger), but she bought them so she would have a conversation starter later if she would meet a potential friend.
When the train slowed down, the girls started to pack their things and left. Niks thought of that as a sign to pack her stuff and leave the train to go to her new school (and hopefully also home).
She left her compartiment, and when she wanted to step out of the train, she bumped into someone.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" she said quickly to the person she bumped into.
