A Well Deserved Party Owl Me For Invite Closed

June 21st. Otherwise known as, the day of Rosie’s best friend’s birthday, Anatole Evans. He was twelve now, they had reached the same age once again until April. And unlike Anatole, Rosie wasn’t planning on waiting 25 days to throw a party. It was important that she showed that she cared, as one of his best friends, and the way to do it obviously, was a party! Rosie sent out invites to whoever knew him, she had to write down some unfamiliar names, but thankfully, their friends were mostly mutual. Mostly. After that, she sent to work, and picked out a location.

The Great Lake.

Where else? Sure, the ballroom could’ve worked, but that was a special place that meant more to her and him, then her, him, and everyone else. Maybe they could go there later, but for now, the Great Lake was a good second choice. It was peaceful, gorgeous, and perfect for her noble prince of a best friend. Did he get nipped by a squid here, sure! Did he have to spend a while with girls that he didn’t know, yeah! But there were worse places, right? Probably. There was always the Astronomy tower, which Thurston very aggressively said no. None of the classrooms could work. The Great Hall was crowded, the Small Hall was just an easy choice. Which left: The Great Lake. But there was something else that Rosie managed to do for Anatole’s birthday. And that was somehow managing to snag a certain Gryffindor to help her setup.

Dorian Gray.

Yes, it sounded like a far fetched request, but for some reason, Dorian agreed. They had made a plan to go to the Great Lake, and they both found out people Anatole were friends with. All that was left was for Rosie to go invite Anatole herself. She had found him in the corridors and very excitedly dragged him all the way out to the Great Lake, much to his reluctance. Despite his complaints, Rosie assured that he would be pleasantly surprised. Her present for him was waiting at the Great Lake. Dorian was already there waiting for people to arrive.

Speaking of the present, Rosie was quite proud of hers to Anatole. It was a golden poppy flower crown, perfect for a wannabe noble prince. Sure it wasn’t gold, but it.. Looked gold! Besides, flower crowns are nice. There was also a nice little paper as a card that had some cheesy message on it, Anatole would hopefully appreciate it. Who wouldn’t? Rosie put a lot of effort into it!

The two kids ran down the grass to Rosie’s location. She had a tight grip on his hand which he was loosely holding onto, and he was a little concerned on why Rosie was going so fast. Rosie laughed and slowed to a stop, covering Anatole’s eyes and pushing him forward. “Ready…” She whispered into his ear, and he made a confused nose. Rosie uncovered his eyes and showed him the view. “Surprise! Happy Birthday Anatole!” She exclaimed.

In front of the birthday boy was a picnic blanket. Dorian was probably nearby, surprisingly. Rosie had a little aggressively ordered him to stay at the party until people arrived, and watch the presents to make sure they weren’t snatched. The blanket was a light blue, and Rosie had taken it from her own room. There was a basket in the middle, full of different snacks that Rosie had managed to get.
It was mostly juice boxes and a few sandwiches, she tried her best to make it at least a little nice. Rosie giggled and ran over to to her present, picking up the flower crown and putting it on top of Anatole’s head with a proud smile on her face. She had put in a lot of effort for her best friend, and it had turned out for the better. At least she hoped so.
