Dear People
Lisa was on the fourth floor of the owlery. It easily ranked in her top ten favourite places in Hogwarts. The first obviously being the restricted section of the library (which she may or may not have snuck into). The first rays of the sun pierced though the sky, black and gold merging with the soft tones of Orange and pink. It was truly extraordinary, she almost couldn't believe this was real.
Her hold on the parchment and quill in her hands loosened slightly, though luckily not enough to drop it.
No, this is not what I came here for! Stop getting carried away, Nortam., she muttered to herself as she tore her eyes from the glorious sight in front of her and settled cross legged on the terrace.
She had so much to say, but not enough paper to say it. Deciding to just start writing, she dipped her quill in the ink and started writing.
Dear Mom and Dad,
Hey, it's Lisa. (I mean obviously, who else would it be from this address?) I've reached safely. See, told you I wouldn't die that fast. You need to have a little more faith in me.
Jokes aside, I'm doing pretty good. I met someone on the train and I think we're friends now (?). Classes are starting in a bit, and the castle is beautiful. There's a broom racing team I want to sign up for, so gotta check that out.
Don't miss me too much, I'll see you in summer. And don't expect a schedule for the owls, you know how I am with those. I'll try to owl you often.
Love you

Dear People
Dear people,
I'm running out of yarn. It's bad, the supply is low and rapidly shrinking. On the plus side, I made some nice looking stuff. I'm owling some of them to you with this letter (the projects, not the yarn). Can you please just send me some yarn? About 2 skeins each of black, brown and gray. Also, one of blue and 3 of red. I've got a bunch of small projects lined up.
Classes are going fine. Learning a lot. Although I've got to say, some professors are definitely...eccentric. Yeah, eccentric.
That aside, I went exploring last night and I found this beautiful library. It was mesmerizing. It was just books upon books upon books (yes, I know that's what a library is). I'm definitely going to go there again soon. My dorm and the common room is really pretty. I'll tell you about it in the next one. Mainly because I was too exhausted when I came in after the sorting ceremony and then all the times after that. But it's ok, It's just the stuff I'm running around, trying to do. It was definitely a hectic few days. Definitely gratifying, but tiring nonetheless. I'm more energetic today. I'm gonna properly look at it this time (Probably). Here's hoping I don't do something drastic and get myself expelled.
Your amazing daughter,
