Hogwarts wasn't as annoying as Estelle said it was when she first arrived. Sure, most students were pretty annoying, asking questions and talking at the speed of light. But the castle itself had an almost cozy feeling to it. Sure, the castle was huge but the scenery was so beautiful. If it looked like this in Spring, how would it look in the other seasons? In the winter, was the ground littered with patches of snow? In the summer was the weather humid and flowers were blossoming in the light? Estelle loved taking pictures of the castle. At a point, she almost sent her mother a picture she took of the lake. But then she remembered she had been ignoring her mom's letters, so she had to swallow her pride and turn back.

The day she tried again to make a decision to owl her mom, another letter was already waiting for her. She almost had a heart attack seeing who it came from. She thought maybe her mom was a having another go at contacting her. But no. The letter was from none other than Austin Hughes.

Before Estelle could even read the letter she felt angry. She didn't even get the chance to read it before her fingers curled tightly around the letter, wrinkling the smooth parchment. As much as Estelle missed the man, she couldn't help but feel angry. He left her. He abandoned her when she needed him. He decided himself to stop calling. For a month or so after the divorce, Austin kept well in touch. He called her every morning before school, every afternoon after school and every evening before Estelle went to bed. He used to make sure he was allowed to visit and keep in touch. But then, after a while, he stopped. He just left her in the dark, and Estelle could never forgive that. She wouldn't forgive the way he rejected her calls. Austin was just annoying. Like all the other people in her life. Annoying and unrealible, that's all he was.

Estelle headed straight ahead as she walked, her head down, her fist still curled around the letter. Anger was coursing through her veins as she took one step after the other, turning through a door she recognised as the bathroom. She didn't care that she startled some people walking by her when she slammed the door and put her back against the nearest wall she could find. She needed the support, if she didnt get the the support she was going to fall.

She slid down and sat on the floor, her arms wrapped around her knees as she took in a few breaths.

She needed to read it. But Estelle could only hold it in her shaking hand, in fear of what might be written inside.
