A Good Book is All I Need PV Linda Ramirez Closed

Linda came to the library just like usual, carrying her notebook and planning to find some book and take more notes in the notebook. She didn't know yet what she's going to read, but it didn't matter as she's surely going to find something on the shelves.

For now, she was thinking a lot about going to Herbology and taking a plant, but she still wasn't sure. I guess I will read something about plants today.

She went to the section that was full of books connected to nature. There're so much books about different plants as well. Oh, I guess I will go with this one, Care about plants so they are staying great for a long time. Maybe I would take something else? Oh, I guess I will take about animals as well.

She went to section that was including books about animals. Today Linda was interested to read about dragons. Well, maybe in future she would choose to work in care about them. It's first year of studying and she doesn't know yet what she wants to choose for future. Too much jobs that are interesting for her, so hopefully she will choose something when it will be time to decide.

She took books and was thinking where to sit. She was always choosing a place close to window as usually there was free and no one was there, so she could stay alone. But this time it was busy. Well, there's a place in a chair close to fire today. Although there's a girl sitting in another chair, so maybe I won't be able to read today. But maybe I would get new friend, as I still don't have much friends and still didn't get long time friend.

Linda came to the chair, "Hi, do you mind if I will sit here? " I guess it was quite polite. Let's see how it will go.

Completely engrossed in her book, Apinya almost didn't notice the girl talking to her until she got to the end of her paragraph. Shaking herself out of the fantasy world, she looked up, she brushed the hair out of her eyes before replying, "Oh, uh, yes go ahead! Sorry if I ignored you, lost in the pages you know." She laughed awkwardly and gestured for the Gryffindor to sit down. As she went past, she tried to sneak a peek at the spine of the books in her hands, looking to make some small talk.
"Dragons. Nice!" She tried to make polite conversation, without going overboard and blabbering about her entire life to this person she barely knew. She'd already made that mistake one too many times in her opinion. She wondered if the girl was interested academically, or if it was just a passing interest, "You gonna take Care of Magical Creatures later?" She asked, trying to keep it light, "I think it seems interesting, but I'm not really one for working with animals."
Wow. Way to keep it light Apinya, just go on and talk about yourself. She cringed inwardly. You've done it again, just gone and put your foot right in it.

"Oh, it's okay, I understand,that means the book you are reading is really interesting for you. What are you reading about? I don't think I know this book. "

Linda smiled, while sitting down on the chair. It's even more comfortable than it looks, maybe I would choose to sit here sometimes. So, what will I read first? I guess I will start with Dragons.

"No, just decided to read. I doubt I would have something about dragons in lesson in near future. Also I like reading about them."

She was thinking either she's supposed to continue telling more or not. It's first time ever meeting and I'm already ready to tell her almost everything about me, this might finish like always with her just leaving. Should be more careful, but what if this girl could really be nice friend whom I really could trust? Maybe I should risk, but still will be careful. I don't want to get disappointed again.

"My name is Linda Ramirez. What's your name?" Now when she thought about it she didn't say her name but already speak about hobby, funny, but it's just one of many hobbies I have, so I guess that's fine. I am wondering what this girl likes else except reading. This might be something great.

She smiled as the girl asked her about the book. Closing the cover slightly, she turned it to show to her, "Northern Lights. It's the first book in my favourite book series." She patted the stack of books on the little coffee table beside her, "And these are the other two. They're all about a girl who lives in a world similar to ours, and she meets a boy from our world, and they have to save all the worlds from destruction."
She sighed, clasping the book to her chest, "There's adventure and romance and drama. It's wonderful."

She looked up, "Oh, sorry, you probably think I'm being weird."
Putting the book down on the table for the moment, she tucked her feet up under her in her armchair, "I like dragons too. They're really cool. I can't wait until we do Care of Magical Creatures and get to learn about them more."
This girl seemed rather nice, and as she picked up her book again, opening it to the bookmarked page, Apinya felt a sense of quiet companionship as they read together. After a while, the girl spoke again, asking her name.

"Oh, how rude. I'm sorry, I'm Apinya. Apinya Milner. It's nice to meet you! Linda's a lovely name by the way."

"Oh thank you. I like your name too. What do you like to read else?" Linda decided to start talking about reading first. It's just beginning and surely she won't talk about herself much.

"Do you mind telling me something about you?" Linda liked to make her question opened. This way Apinya could say as much as wanted and only what she wanted to say. "I feel like we could be friends. You seem to be really nice person." Maybe she could even become best friend but it's far yet.

Reading is what Linda liked to do almost most of the time so whenever she would find someone who liked reading as well, she wanted to know more about them.

Apinya was reading something that sounded a bit interesting, but Linda was sure she didn't see it before and surely she didn't read it. Maybe she would read it later though. She was reading again not knowing what to say else, so she hoped Apinya will ask her to say something about herself.

Dragons. It's already more than 5 times she is taking it to read and still finds it so interesting. Maybe she has to choose something connected to them in future? But she also had so much other interests. So future will show what will be next and with whom she will stay friends for a long time. Perhaps she'll find Apinya one of those.
