Day: Friday Date: April 7th 2023 Time: 5:30Pm
It was a dreary Friday evening, classes have finished for the day. Many students were scuttling about heading back to their dorms, few heading towards the Great Hall to try and find great spots to sit and convey about their day with their friends. Though the day was quite dreary rain lightly falling from the heavenly skies. The light gray puffy clouds released their tears landing upon the lime green grass surrounding the courtyard. The cobblestone path ways were covered in small miniature puddles. The wind though quite chilly to the touch was ever so gentle breezing on by rustling the shrubbery that rested beside the court yard arch ways. The arch ways though a few students were hanging around talking under the shelter of the arches that connected the pathways to the large Castle school.

The grey cotton like clouds moved on lazily the gentle down pour of rain hitting lightly onto the ground from above. The sweet sounds of the variety of birds that lived on castle grounds sung their melodies from the safety in their nests from the chilly frigid rain. The wind continued to breeze on by gently making the leaves that were settled gently on the ground dance gently. With a gentle whistle like tone the wind continued to be gentle as it breezed on by in this dreary weather.

After a long day from classes Alana seemed to be in a slight daze the young girl had dropped off her books in her common room before making her trek towards the courtyard. The young girls fiery red hair seemed to be cascade down her shoulders in slight waves. Her black robes seemed to billow behind her gently as her sleeves reached slightly past her wrists. The young girls sea-foam blue eyes seemed to shine as she made her trek through the arch ways of the courtyard.

The gentle rain sent a peaceful pitter patter sound echoing through the vast court yard. Alana stared out towards the rain before stepping fourth into the gentle downpour. The young girl did not seem to mind the gentle rain caressing her sun-kissed tone cheeks. The young girl looked up towards the dreary sky. Her sea-foam blue eyes shined brightly like an oceans wave crashing into the shore. Her fiery red hair seemed to collect the raindrop lets as her fiery red hair begun to cling to the sides of her soft oval shaped face. Her robes gently started to get damp from the gentle downpour.

Alana gazed around her surroundings before moving towards the water fountain that stood in the center of the courtyard. The gentle sound of the water pouring from the water fountain mixed with the gentle sound of the raindrop lets pit pattering onto the gentle water that resided inside the fountain sent a peaceful serene sound through out the courtyard. Alana moved closer to the water fountain staring into the water quietly. Her sea-foam blue eyes sparkled slightly. The young girl smiled gently noting her reflection in the water in the fountain. Alana turned back around staring up at the dreary sky above.

As the rain continued to fall gently in a slight downpour the wind was gentle brushing past Alana caressing her sun-kissed cheeks. The young Gryffindor girls fiery red hair seemed to look more of a darker auburn color as if her usual fiery hair seemed to darken from the moisture that it was absorbing the rain droplets. The young girls hair begun to cling to her soft oval face as if it was trying to give her a hug. Alana's dark black robes clung softly to her arms. The young girl did not mind though she was to lost in her own world enjoying the sweet gentle touch of the frigid rain.

Alana took a seat on the water fountains edge after all the young girl did not wish to leave this peaceful moment she quite enjoyed the gentle touch of the icy cool rain. The miniscule raindrop lets grazing down her face softly seemed to leave the girl in a trance. Alana closed her eyes staring up at the grey covered sky the grey clouds seemed as if they were one large quilt blanket sewn together to just release the gentle downpour of raindrop lets from the heavens. With closed eyes Alana hummed softly to herself. One may think this sight would be strange after all who would willingly just sit outside in a gentle down pour, but Alana did not really care. At this exact moment the young girl
seemed lost in her own world enjoying the gentle touch of the raindrop lets.

Opening her eyes again slightly Alana smiled softly up at the sky her sea-foam eyes seemed a bit dazed though she did not understand why she felt dazed or why she seemed a bit off in a way. Though the young girl felt she was happy though for some reason her mind seemed to make her feel a bit off as if she was missing something. Even though Alana had no idea what her mind was trying to tell her she just continued to sit in the gentle downpour lapping up every once of the serene surrounding that was happening around her. Even the soft chatter of students from the arch ways seemed a bit distance from the young girl, but she did not care. Right now Alana was enjoying her time with mother nature. The soft melody of the birds singing, the pitter patter of the wind bouncing off of the ground, the gentle sound of the rain and fountain water bouncing off of each other seemed so serene to the young girl. Even the fresh aroma of the freshly blossoming flowers wafted through the courtyard even the damp smell of the morning pollen lingered in the air. Over all Alana felt at peace in this gentle downpour.

Alana closed her eyes once again looking up at the sky her hands behind her resting onto the fountain as she leaned backwards slightly humming a soft tune under her voice as she leaned back her legs were slightly jutted outwards her fiery red hair though it was slightly damp at this point cascaded backwards dangling over the fountains water. Her black robes clung to her small body as the rain continued to dance around the young Gryffindor girl as she enjoyed the sereneness that was around her. After all Alana always believed nature was the most beautiful thing around after all.

Chilly winds blow accompanied by a passing drizzle. The rain had started pouring, signifying that spring had definitely arrived. One could hear its gentle patters on the windows and on the ground, showering the castle with glistening droplets. Joining in the chorus are the rustling of the leaves and shrubs as a gentle cool breeze begins to blow. The skies had that dreary gray look on them, giving the whole day a melancholic vibe, especially to those who had decided to stay in the castle.

Spring Break had finally come as well, the castle looking quite empty unlike when classes were still up. The bustling halls that were once filled with people now stood empty with only a few walking around, listening to the sound of the rain just outside the windows along with the whistle of the wind. Others were outside, watching the raindrops as if they were deep in their thoughts. Among the students there was a young Gryffindor student who had decided to try staying at Hogwarts for the holidays. She wanted to know what the school looks like during the holidays but she admits, with the rain drizzling like this, giving such a sad atmosphere, she can’t help but wonder if she should’ve just gone home, a feeling of homesickness creeping up slowly.

Raizel shook her head, knowing that it is too late to change her mind now and this is something she had decided, she couldn't back down from it and had to face it head on and not to mention, this is part of her school life experiences. Besides, she wanted to grow out of it, not wanting to keep relying on her parents and to show people that she too can stand on her own two feet. There she was, standing and leaning on one of the columns under the shade of the archways with her eyes on the courtyard, watching as the raindrops slowly soaked the whole ground with its continuous fall and listening to it sprinkling the cold cobblestone floor.

The distant sound of the fountain’s gushing water can also be heard along with a couple of rustling sounds from the nearby shrubs and trees and the soft croaks of frogs who had come out to play in this blessed rain. Her dark brown eyes that were always filled with curiosity had mellowed down thanks to the weather, boredom and perhaps a bit of sorrow filled them now. Her dark brown hair looked a bit messy thanks to the humidity but luckily, it wasn’t that bad unlike other people. The smile that she always wore had disappeared, replaced by a frown. She started fixing up her black hooded jacket and was just about to go when the figure of someone stepping out into the rain caught her eyes. That fiery-red hair that the person has was enough to tell Raizel who it was although the rain had doused it. She moved closer but not stepping out just yet, wanting to watch what the girl was up to outside in the middle of this drizzle. It made her smile as she saw she was simply enjoying the water pattering on her skin, not even minding how her robes had clinged to her body after getting it damped in the rain. She didn’t say a word just yet, perhaps thinking of surprising her. That’s when a mischievous grin quickly formed on her face

So she did, putting on the hood of her hoody, slowly stepping out into the courtyard, not even minding the fact that it was raining. Raizel has her hands outstretched, trying hard not to get noticed as much as possible as she reaches out to the girl. “Boo!” The young Gryffindor shouted, quickly touching the girl’s shoulder, taking advantage of the fact that the girl was too occupied in her moments under the rainfall.

As the rain gently downpoured onto the young girls sun-kissed tone girls soft oval face. Her fiery red hair although damp still seemed to shimmer like a dim lit flame that was slowly dying from the lack of oxygen. Alana's sea-foam eyes still closed seemed lost in her own world. Her surroundings were so peaceful until she heard a loud Boo behind her. Alana shooting her eyes open fell backwards landing into the fountain behind her. The young fiery red haired girl blinking in confusion. More so because she did not realize that Raizel was near the young red hair.

Alana glanced up from her spot sitting inside the fountain the young girls knees where over the ledge as Alana gazed upwards before sitting up laughing softly. As the young girl pulled her self back up to a sitting position onto the ledge the fiery red hair girl who was already damp seemed visibly soaked at this point. The rain water dripping from her slick red hair. Her freckles seemed to pop as the raindrop lets slid down her face smoothly. Alana's sea-foam blue eyes seemed to shine like the oceans waves.

"Hello Raizel! Lovely weather don't you agree?"

Alana spoke softly smiling sweetly at Raizel. Alana's sea-foam eyes radiated brightly like a shooting star. Her black robes clung tightly to the young girls body. Her black shirt clung tightly to her top half while her pants clung tightly as well. The young girls fiery red hair usually wavey was straight and stuck to the young girls face neatly. Alana stood up stretching as the rain continued to gently down pour on the duo. Alana turned her attention to Raizel still smiling brightly though the weather was very dreary and the young girl was sopping wet at this moment she seemed to pay no mind to it.

"What are you doing out here? Are you enjoying the lovely weather? I mean this rain is just lovely is it not?"

Alana spoke softly though she began to ramble a bit. Her sea-foam eyes shined brightly as the stars above. The gentle sounds of the shrubs dancing in the wind sent a soothing sensation to Alana's ears. The sweet melody of the birds wafted through the air. The sweet smell of the freshly bloomed flowers wafted around the courtyard gently. The gentle breeze caressed Alana's cheeks gently. Her sea-foam blue eyes continued to sparkle. Alana turned her attention to Raizel smiling softly as the rain covered the red haired girls face the minuscule droplets of water sliding down Alana's soft oval shaped face. The young girl awaited to hear Raizel's response to the young red haired girls question. Though Alana was in no hurry after all she quite enjoyed this dreary weather it seemed ever so peaceful to the young girl after all.

At first, Raizel was worried when Alana landed into the fountain due to her successfully surprising her, even flinching as a reaction to that. Eventually, she broke into a laughter, taking a couple of steps backwards to give Alana some space as she recovered from that, shoving her hands into her hoody's pockets. Perhaps being playful is her way of coping with her own troubles and melancholic feelings, the sad vibe that the rainy later afternoon had given her slowly being washed away by her success in pulling off that surprised greetings to the fiery haired girl. "You okay there?" She asked Alana with a grin on her face, wanting to make sure that she didn't get hurt after falling into the fountain like that, looking at her now completely drenched in water.

"Lovely weather… huh?" That remark made Raizel look up, watching as countless raindrops continued to sprinkle on them. "Perhaps." To be honest, it was quite dreary for someone who could easily feel homesick. Then again, that feeling will pass and she will need to get over that soon. School year is soon over and they will be moving up. It'll be embarrassing if she continues to stay the way she is now when they move up a year. She showed Alana her usual smile, setting those thoughts aside. The rain isn't exactly that bad but weathers like this just have that effect of instilling sadness. "You seem to be enjoying it, not even minding that you're getting wet. You could catch a cold, you know." There was a hint of worry in Raizel's voice as she speaks. "I was simply watching the rain, getting lost in thoughts and all that. Nothing noteworthy to be honest." The brunette continued with shrug, her gaze falling back onto the fiery red-haired girl. "Then I saw you, having your moment under this gentle rain. Thought I might surprised you and your reaction to it sure didn't disappoint me." Raizel chuckled as she recalls the way Alana reacted.

Alana laughed softly staring at Raizel. Alana's sea-foam blue eyes sparkled brightly like the night sky. Alana's fiery red hair though it was dripping wet as her robes clung tightly to her small body. Alana's fiery red hair clung tightly her soft oval shaped face. The gentle downpour of rain caressed Alana's face gently. Alana smiled brightly at Raizel the young fiery red haired girl chuckled softly as her eyes grew curious staring up at Raziel.

"Raizel? I have a question if you do not mind if I ask it of course?"

Alana spoked softly the young girl was ever so curious especially after her meeting with Avery days prior to running into Raizel on this dreary rainy day. Alana smiled sheepishly as the rain droplets fell down the ground gently. The puddles on the ground seemed to dance with the droplets bouncing off of them. Alana's gaze became more of a mischievous look as she wandered more about what she was gonna ask Raizel. After all Avery had let slip that Raizel had given him a note from someone though the young Slytherin boy did not know who sent it. Alana was ever so curious about it.

The sweet gentle sound of the rain falling form the sky was ever so peaceful as the wind was gently breezing on by the duo softly.

Raizel tilted her head curiously, her mind beginning to wonder what question the fiery haired girl had for her. Was it about their assignments? If it’s anything other than History of Magic then she could probably have an answer to that although she gets a feeling that it isn’t something academic related. If she’s asking for spells, then that’s also something she could answer. The girl loves her spells. “What is it? As long as it’s something I could answer.” Raizel said as she let her gaze fall onto the dreary gray skies for a few seconds. It doesn’t look like it’ll let up soon, another rainy night then, not like she minds it.

Glancing back at Alana, she took notice of that mischievous look in those sea-foam blue eyes of hers, making her wonder more on what kind of question it’ll be. That’s enough to tell her that it’s not indeed something academic related. Despite that, she is curious on what it’ll be. She didn’t do something wrong did she? Not that she can recall anything that’s even noteworthy. There isn’t that much to do even now that it is Spring Break. Then again, when she gets bored, she usually finds things to do so maybe it’s about one of those? Then again, she hasn't done anything… yet anyway.

Alana stared at the brunette haired girl curiously. Alana's sea-foam blue eyes radiated with pure curiosity. Alana gave Raizel a sly smile as her wet fiery red hair stuck to the sides of her soft oval shaped face. The rain droplets slid down Alana's fair freckled splattered face gently. Her sea-foam blue eyes sparkled brightly as she stared over at Raizel curiously.

"I heard about the letter? Avery told me about the letter. Did you write or did someone give it to you?"

Alana spoke curiously staring up at the other girl grinning like an idiot. Alana giggled slightly as she was overly curious about this letter though she also should mind her own business after all but the red haired girl was overly curious more then anything.

"Though after all it is not my business though, but I am curious if you wrote it or not. I never thought you would write a letter to anyone though? Besides maybe family though."

Alana spoke softly as she stared curiously as she gazed softly at Raizel her mind was curious her sea-foam blue eyes sparkled brightly. The gentle downpour of the rain falling gracefully to the ground forming puddles. The rain covered Alana's body as her sea-foam blue eyes continued to sparkle brightly pooled with curiosity inside of them.

While waiting for the question, Raizel stared at the ground, watching as small puddles began to form because of the rain, fixing up the hood of her jacket and slowly getting it drenched. The moment Alana spoke, she looked up and the expression she showed when Alana suddenly asked about a letter was confusion. "Letter?" She wondered with a tilt of her head before looking up. What letter? She wondered in her mind, trying to recall what she had written and for Avery? Avery told her about a letter. "Ah! That letter." She exclaimed, pounding her fist on top of her palm, finally remembered that strange note that she had found in a thrashed potion classroom. "Well, to be honest, I don't know who it was from. Probably from Avery's secret admirer." She told her with a playful grin on her face.

To be fair, she doesn't know if she was even allowed to speak about it. That is Avery's business and even if she does know, it'll be something between them for now as she doesn't want to talk about it unless Avery says so. She'd rather not have the trust her friend put in her break. "You know, he could be famous. That's probably not the only letter he might've received. For all we know, his room is probably filled with it." She snickered. It was a thought that could be possible. She'd be lying if she says that the boy couldn't be popular although he does have this mysterious vibe around him sometimes. "So nope, didn't write that one. Just happened to stumble upon it and acted as a mere delivery girl for him. Sorry to burst your bubble." She apologized with a small smile as it's probably not the answer she was expecting. Her writing a letter to Avery though, yup, not something she could do unless it's necessary. He'll probably just think of it as something weird.

As the rain continued to rain down from the sky above covering the marble courtyard ground with little puddles the raindrops danced in the puddles as they fall from the vast sky. The dark gray clouds continued to hover above high in the sky releasing the heavy droplets. The frigid spring wind danced around the duo as if the wind was doing a dance number. The sweet scent of fresh blooming flowers wafted throughout the fresh rain air.

Alana heard Raizel speak up once again a bit dazed and lost in her thoughts Alana turned her attention back to Raizel. The fiery red haired girl gazing at the darker haired girl that stood in front of her. Alana though she seemed a bit dazed not hearing Raizel speak until the brunette in front of her seemed to pound her fist into her palm gaining Alana’s full attention once again.

"Well, to be honest, I don't know who it was from. Probably from Avery's secret admirer."

Raizel told Alana. Alana noted the playful grin that was on the brunette haired girls face. Alana returned the playful grin as her sea-foam blue eyes seemed to dance with pure excitement and joy. The young fiery red haired girl seemed to ignite with pure joy and a playful manner in her step.

”I bet he does! He seems like he maybe a bit popular though I am not positive about that one actually. I have rarely heard anyone speak about Avery? Actually is he popular?”

Alana questioned herself a bit after all the young girl never knew if Avery was actually popular in fact. The young red haired girl never really knew if anyone ever spoke to him or even acknowledged the young Slytherin boy. Alana stared at Raize tilting her head curiously as her thoughts seemed to dance around.

I wonder if Avery is popular? But also why would anyone wanna write a letter to someone anyways? Wouldn’t talking be better?

Alana seemed a bit dazed as she held the bottom of her chin with her left hand. Her wet fiery locks seemed to cling to Alana’s sun kissed tone face. Alana’s button shaped nose seemed slightly pink from being out in the frigid cool spring rain air. The frigid spring air continued to dance making the raindrops dance along with it.

“You know, he could be famous. That's probably not the only letter he might've received. For all we know, his room is probably filled with it."

Raizel snickered gaining Alana’s attention the young fiery red haired girl stared at the brunette curiously. A slight hum escaping Alana’s throat as she gazed at the brunette. Listening to the potter patter of the rain droplets falling from the sky.

”You are right? He could be famous! But why I’m earth would a famous person attend Hogwarts Raizel? Plus if his room is filled with letters would his dorm mates not say something? Unless he hides them?!”

Alana spoke softly though a bit confused as to why if Avery was famous wouldn’t there already be rumors floating around. Alana seemed to be lost in thought wandering deeply to herself. As Alana was lost in thought she did not seem to catch all of what Raizel said though Alana did hear the apology coming from the other Gryffindor girl. Alana smiled brightly at Raizel as the rain drops continued to fall from the sky gracefully.

”No need to apologize! You did nothing wrong, but now I am curious? Maybe we should ask Avery if he is some secret famous person or something? Or if he has secret admirers nobody except him knows about it’s exhilarating to think about? Though it’s also none of our business but curiosity is power right?”

Alana spoke softly, grinning cheekily, staring at Raizel as she shrugged her shoulders slightly. The fiery red haired girl could feel her fiery locks stick to the side of her face as she continued to gaze at Raize with a bright shine to her sea-foam blue eyes. As the rain continued to grace the girls with its presence the sweet smell of fresh rain wafted throughout the courtyard along with the fresh scent of watered flowers freshly blooming. Alana seemed to continue to gaze at Raizel awaiting a response though the rain seemed to welcome the girls greatly it was ever so peaceful.

Raizel gave Alana a shrug. She too doesn't know how famous a certain Avery Leveret is. She was also just playing around with that idea but who knows really. Then again, if Avery was that famous, there should be a lot of rumors going on around the school already. Either she had missed that due to her own shenanigans or she wasn't paying any attention to whatever is going around their school.

"Lots of famous people are probably in Hogwarts. Those who carry the name of a certain family and such?" Raizel answered, taking a look around her. There are students like those, well-known for their family names for different reasons, bad or good. They take pride in it and they would probably broadcast it to the whole school if their family is such a big shot in the world. While most purebloods would gladly tell everyone how great their family is or how big they are in the wizarding world, she can't say that half-bloods and muggleborn won't do the same if they had achieved such a feat in the past.

"Hogwarts is a great wizarding school so I see no reason not to attend it unless you also got an acceptance letter from the other great wizarding schools." Raizel told her friend. It was also probably because of how the students are determined by their first instance of magic with it taking place somewhere in the UK. "And if your parents were students of Hogwarts before, I'd assume they'd want for their child to attend there as well, continue their legacy or something like that." What the heck was she saying? Does it even make any sense? She doesn't know but that's just what's in her mind right now.

"While I am curious about him having secret admirers because of that letter, it is also none of our business." The girl agreed with that one with a smile, shoving her hands into her jacket's pocket before taking a couple of steps back, stepping onto the puddles that had formed on the stone floor, making a splash. She wasn't one to pry into someone else's business but maybe she could do a bit of teasing. Then again, would Avery hate her for that? "But guess it is worth asking that if you want to."
