It was April 6th when Azrael found out the news. The girl that they had visited and had become friends with was dead. Lucille had handed Azzy the letter, holding the black and white haired child close as they screamed and cried. Azrael could feel their heart breaking as they did so. Lucille just held her baby close. "My sweet baby... I know... I know... It's ok..." Lucille whispered. Azrael only cried harder, their make-up they'd worked so hard on, streaming down their face. It hurt, it hurt alot. Knowing that their friend, the girl they had tried to cheer up, was gone. In Valhalla and away from Azzy. Lucille picked Azzy up and sat down on the couch with them on her lap. "I know it hurts... But... I'm sure she wouldn't want you to be upset... She's in a better place... Better than this cruel world..." Lucille said, stroking Azzy's hair. Just then, Parker ran in, panting and having no idea why his child was upset, "I've no idea what's going on with you guys- And I hate being insensitive, but Moonflower is giving birth!" He said, running back to the stables, Azzy jumped up and followed, running as fast as their legs would carry them. They couldn't miss this, no matter how upset they were. As Parker and Azzy got to the barn the pair were quick to grab everything needed. After thirty minutes of hectic activity, a healthy blue roan Clydesdale foal. Azzy looked at the little foal, mesmerized. They felt blessed at the blue foal approached them and nudged their hand. "Hey little one..." They whispered, knealing down and resting their forehead on the little Clydesdale's forehead. "I'm gonna call you Thorn..." Azzy said, the foal didn't move, it seemed that it understood. Maybe it was the pain of losing Thorn Cullen. Or maybe it was just fate. But it seemed a miracle sent from Odin himself, as if to apologize for taking their friend to soon.
