Friends

Avhira sat on the edge of the pier, swinging her legs. She had a book open, and was humming as she read. She couldn't wait for classes, but she hadn't received her scedule yet.. Hopefully she'd get it later today. She stretched, laying down. It was a beautiful day, and she was so glad she could read in the sun. She wondered if she'd do well in herbology, as she wasn't the best at gardening. After a while of reading her favorite Muggle book, Dune, she smiled, putting her book away, and laying down on the pier. She hummed, thinking about the previous day. She didn't need friends, but she wanted them, so she would have them, she was sure. She smiled even more widely, taking out a sketchbook and sketching out the treeline of the forbidden forest, adding a few other details, like a unicorn in front and a hippogriff flying above. she smiled, setting the paper beside her as she thought about her friends back home, and wondered if they'd like the drawing. she sat there in the sun for a while longer, not really doing anything. she was still humming, glad that she had gotten an old music player and modified it to work at hogwarts. it still had a few kinks, it didn't always work, but it helped her focus.
