Hair dyeing &. Snip snip

Cicely never read about hair dye before, never did her hair with a different look, but she thought today was the day to do it. She has no idea how to do this, but was ready. She snuck into the lavatory, with a packet of hair dye and some silver scissors. Her mother was going to kill her if she found out. But she didn’t care.
She took the packet in her hand, and stopped. She looked at the mirror, there she was, her long wavy ebony locks which she was about to loose. She touched her hair for a second, before dipping down and fetching the scissors. She opened the packet, and began, squirting the liquid into her long hair, mixing it with her locks, a towel around her shoulders. Then she’d have to wait. She then wrapped her hair into a towel, waiting for it to dry. Then, she’d cut her hair off.
Finally, when she took the towel off, she saw her hair, mostly brown now. She was silent, peering into the mirror, before bursting into giggles. “I love it!” she whispered to herself, then spied the scissors. Picking them up, she put them against her hair, and began cutting them.
Bits of hazel hair fell to the ground as she snipped through her hair, humming happily.

Violet was feeling sleepy today. She didn’t have the best sleep..which wasn’t unusual..she always would fall asleep late before trying to not toss and turn so much to not annoy her dorm mates. At this point she wondered if she had some type of sleep disorder. She didn’t wanna fall asleep in classes or even in her dorm because she knew that when she wakes up from her nap she would feel even worse and groggy. That’s why she decided to go to the lavatory so she can wash her face again and hopefully feel more awake and energized.
Once she entered the lavatory she saw that she was not alone there, which wasn’t a problem. There was a Gryffindor girl, possibly a first year like her, cutting her hair and bits of her hair falling to the ground. It reminded Vee of how she dyed her hair here before.
She headed towards the sink and washed her face more than 3 times for it to feel enough, not bothering the other girl and not looking at her yet either. Then she realized that the gryffindor was humming happily. Vee decided to just go for it..”Hi..is it easy for you to cut your hair yourself, do you need any help with that?”
Even though the other girl seemed to not struggle at all, it was always good to talk to people right?

Cicely was aware of another girl entering the room, but she didn’t pay much attention as she continued snipping the end. Her brows were furrowed with concentration as she snipped at the sides before stopping for a bit, feeling the ends. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see the girl bending down and splashing water into her face.
One distinctive feature of the girl was her hair. The long beautiful locks were curly and down to her back. Even after just got out of the bed, her hair was still a wonder. Her beautiful aquamarine eyes shine and were glassy. She had ivory skin and primrose cheeks. A stab of envy impaled cicely in the chest, but she ignored it. Cicely gave a small Hmmph. This hairstyle wasn’t working. Maybe she should curl her bangs?
As she was leaning to the mirror, she heard the girl finally speak. She gave a small smile. “It’s fairly easy for me. I used to cut my cousin’s hair.” she gave a small grin, turning around. “Seems like you never cut your hair before.” she said, pointing at the lovely locks. “How long did it take to grow at that length?” she leaned forwards slightly, tilting to a side.Interacting with: @violet grace
