Reducio

"Study of Recent Developments in Wizardry. This one looks interesting!" Ying muttered to herself as she, on tiptoe, tried to reach the golden hardcover book on top of the shelf. But unfortunately the young girl had to grow a few more inches to be able to grab that book just by herself, "uff..." She huffed feeling a little frustrated with her failed attempt.

Looking from her right side to her left side she searched for a away to help her to reach the book. She found some moving stairs but they were at the other side of the book's store and she wasn't seeing herself walking all that way carrying it. She realized that many wizards were using their wands to make the books move their way towards their hands, Ying bit her lip thinking that she couldn't wait to start learning that, maybe if she just moved her wand with the right intention that would work? Unfortunately, her wand was not with her...her caretaker made a point of keeping it herself until Ying was finally heading her way to Hogwarts. Perhaps Mrs. Bagnall knew her too well! Ying side eyed the middle age women that was staying a few steps away from her looking quite uncomfortable. Ying narrowed slightly at this realization and a sudden feeling of compassion surged within her towards the lovely and caring woman. She was a muggle after all, she was there fulfilling her duty towards her and her older brother by being there watching over them. Ying doubted tho, that Mrs Bagnall would be able to do anything against those witches with embalmed cats in their hats...A shiver ran down her spine again as the memory of that ugly woman flashed through her mind again.

Perhaps she should go look for Ming, after all he was already a second year...maybe he would know how to make the right spell to help her getting the golden covered book. Walking along side the tall and seeming never ending, bookshelves and narrow corridors, Ying was looking from one side to another trying to spot the dark-haired boy, but there where so many kids and older students with their families, that was almost impossible to find him at first glance. Was when she noticed another girl, about her height and she could be mistaken, but she could swear she was also her age, maybe she would be heading towards Hogwarts for the first time to that year? Ying took a moment to decide between continue to search for Ming or go and try to make her first acquaintance in that new magical world, after all, now that was her world too and she was eager to find someone else to talk about all those amazing things that she was about to know and experience.

Taking on a deep breath, she finally got the courage to approach the young girl, walking slowly not to startle her, she made the few steps needed until she reached the other dark-haired girl, "Hi!" She said cheerfully with a quick wave of her small hand, "Are you also shopping your books to Hogwarts?" She kindly asked with a gentle smile on her rosy lips. "Hope you don't mind my approach..." She continued now feeling a little nervous, maybe she had been to impulsive to go talk to the girl? Hopefully not... "I'm Fang Hui-Ying!" She introduced herself reaching her hand towards the girl, with a wide smile, her dark eyes sparkling with joy showing how happy she was to find herself in such a magical place.
