History/Background Story: Near grew up in a small house in London, more in the country than in the actual city, so he was used to being in solitude. His mother is a Witch and his Father is a Muggle, so he grew up in a household combining both the Muggle and Wizard world, and that was always normal for him. He was always picked on by other kids his age and older, mainly for being a loner by nature. But he hid these instances from his parents, as they already had busy lives and he did not want to add on another problem. Since he was young, he always loved to read. About fantasy and animals especially, so his room was always a mess, books and clothing littered everywhere, but that was how he preferred it anyway. His one companion, was a snake that his parents had bought for him for his 8th birthday, named Scales. His Dad wanted to get him something normal and bring the snake back, but by then Near had already become way too attached, and his mother insisted he keep it. His nose was normally in a book, even though he went to a public Muggle school, the only way he was able to keep Scales, so he didn't usually make very many friends. He was extremely passionate about animals, especially those of the Magical world, so he would always bug his mother for the newest magical creature books. The bullying eventually got so severe, that he would always wear red contacts, and bleach his hair white, in an effort of trying to become comfortable as himself. He also had several scars, as the pranks got worse. Hiding it from his parents, he was bullied for about a year, until his mentality was so fragile, that he snapped. One day, he was sitting in a field, when the children ambushed him, and began prodding at him. In a fit of rage, he accidentally lit the entire field ablaze, luckily no one died, but it left him terrified of himself. His parents decided to send him to Hogwarts, and he was in disbelief when he was actually accepted, a surprise from his parents. A place...where he could truly fit in, and find himself. On the train ride, he sat with three other students, making small friends, and he was excited when he was placed into Ravenclaw. But most of his fellow Claws weren't really welcoming, so he preferred to be alone. He went to the Library on most occasions, and he met a couple new friends. He hoped that one day he would be able to fit in.
Appearance: Near is a very small, nervous boy, with white hair and red contacts. His regular eye color is a stunning green, and his old hair color was black, but he changed his appearance as an attempt at feeling more comfortable with himself. He is very small and scrawny for his age, the perfect person to push around. His hair is short and usually goes into his eyes, especially when he's nervous. He has scars along his torso and abdomen, because he had hid them from his parents.
