Adrenaline was beating in Dori's ears as their eyes scanned the crowded stands for Elsi. Should they go to Hospital Wing? Probably. But they hadn't been super injured. The biggest injury they had received had been from their own wand backfiring. Still, they couldn't even feel the soreness of their muscles from being tensed up the entire time, or the hard landing on the ground. This was their first win in two years. The only duel they had one had been during their first round as a duellist, and it filled them with the thrill of duelling. But ever since they had a vicious losing streak that they hadn't recovered from. And Elsi had been at every one of them.
"Elsi! Brownie Bite- Where?" If this kid had fallen asleep on the benches again, they were going to strangle him. Ah! There. With a dead sprint directly at him, they launched themselves with arms flung open at him. "Did you see me? Did you see that! We won!" Their squeeze was intense as if they let go, they would wake up and none of this would have been a real occurrence. The tears started to pour from their eyes finally, the dam of adrenaline that had been holding them up finally breaking once they hugged their best friend. Perhaps there was some irony in sharing the victory with a Gryffindor, but they knew that he would be one of the happiest people for them in the stands. The soreness started to eek back into their bones, but for the moment they couldn't care.

Better Late Than Never

They did it. They did it. They did it-!
He fumbled with the cheer board he’d made, flipping it over from the yellow and black Hufflepuff inspired decoration with the big, ‘YOU TRIED’ written in glittery gold letters to the other side.
A green colored, frog inspired design, complete with frogs drawn on lily pads atop glittery blue water and completed with silly googly eyes glued onto each frog's face. In big glittery blue letters the words, ‘YOU DID IT CREAMPUFF!!!’ written smack in the middle. Perfectly obnoxious. He’d been PREPARED for this moment!
“Creampuff!!” He cheered, shouting above the noise as he shook the board in the air and a giant excited grin on the boy's face to accompany the cheers. “YOU DID IT! YOU DID IT!” It was rare to see the tired boy this excited and worked up about anything besides naps but if there was anything to be more excited over than naps it was this. He was proud, prouder than he had any right to be seeing as how the boy hadn’t done a bloody thing but he was, he was just so so damn proud of Dorion right now, enough that it felt like the swell of pride and happiness in his heart would burst right through chest.
His cheeks positively hurt with how hard he was smiling as he dropped the sign to the side, catching the other in his arms with a soft ‘Oomph’ and cheerful laugh. “I saw, I saw.” It was as much a promise as it was a simple truth. “You won!” Returning the hug just as tightly the Gryffindor crushed the other to his chest even if it wasn’t quite Dorions level. Delicate flower he was. “Of course my Hufflepuffs would win~” It was said smugly, pride positively dripping from the words, and they swayed in the hug; then more kindly, softly when he felt the other shake for a moment, “I knew you could do it Dori, always knew you could.”
“You did it Creampuff,” he whispered again, tucking the other under his chin and that much closer when he felt tears against his shirt.
