It has been quite a while since we have corresponded, so I would like to firstly say hello. I hope you remember me, for I still do, as the very clever child I have had the pleasure to meet. You are, forgive me if I'm wrong, a Fifth Year now?
However, the main reason I am writing to you is because I need to request a favor from you. I hope that it will not be much trouble, for I know you well and am sure that you can do this well. You see, I have one of my youngest cousins starting at Hogwarts this year, and I am rather worried, I admit, that she will spend too much time relaxing and not enough work. That's where you come in.
I would like you to tutor her personally, particularly in Charms or Transfiguration, as I know that you have good grades for both. That would be very nice, if you are agreeable. I thank you for reading this letter and await your answer.

Of course I remember you – it’s good to hear from you again, it has been a while. I am indeed a fifth year presently, you are correct. I hope adult life is treating you well. I would love to hear a little about how you are doing and what you have chosen to pursue, if you are willing to share.
I’m honored you thought of me in regards to improving your cousin’s behaviors and abilities. What is her name? I’m sure I could help guide her in the right direction – provided she is not entirely opposed to the idea of being tutored.

Thank you very much for taking your time to answer this letter; I am well, and the Ministry is no doubt treating me very well. Walking up in the ranks, hopefully becoming Head of a Department some time this year. They were impressed with my grades, so all is well for me. How are you? How is Hogwarts?
That is great! Her name is Duvessa Ember, a black haired girl witch identical eyes like mine. She is a bright kid when it comes to learning, but I am worried she will start to relax when she makes friends. Before Hogwarts, you see, she was lonely (muggles are not a fan of the name "Ember" as we are romoured to be....weird because of our magic, not that they ever seen it) and that made her very focused on her work. I will let her know in the next possible free time that you have agreed.

Dear Dagger,
I am glad to hear you are well and that you’re succeeding in your pursuits. I have been working on refining my skills and my spells now never backfire. I am also now able to cast nonverbally (see abilities for both of these). I’m unsure what I want to do after I graduate, but I know it’s key to remain on top of my peers and gather all the skills and knowledge that I can.
Perhaps Duvessa would do well to have that mindset too. Having friends for the first time can bring joy, but it’s good to remember what’s important and not lose sight of one’s goals just because new people are added to one’s circle. I look forward to meeting her and hope she will prove to be as driven as you.
