The time had arrived for the young wizard to explore his talent and enthusiasm. He had a strong desire to learn how to duel, and now he was going to take centre stage and give it everything he had. That is, if Tatsu doesn't turn on him.

Ashley moved towards where all the duelists had usually congregated. Thereafter, he stood a few metres from his opponent, To believe that this was the same Amaris Levine, who resembled his grandmother more, who had boarded the train with him. He started to become a little excited and thrilled to see what would happen.

He took note of the presence of the few people he knew as well as Damion, his favourite mentor, who appeared to be serving as the duel's host. The senior went through all the formalities, greeted the pair, and made an effort to make them feel at ease. Ashley pulled out his aspen wood dragon heartstring wand as Damion said "wand ready duelers," and he immediately felt a strong connection to it. Ashley bowed even though he didn't feel like it because it was required of them. But out of respect, he adhered to the regulations and instructions.

"Let's see what transpires," he said to himself.

Amaris fiddled with the hem of her sleeve, nervous at the fact that she was actually going to be duelling someone. Nothing in her life had ever come close to this, she had never fought before, least of all with magic. However, strangely, she had taken a liking to the idea of duelling and today was going to be her first try at it. Taking her place, she stood a few metres back from her opponent, Ashley, someone who she had met a couple of times before. It was hard to believe that after less than a year at Hogwarts, they were both duelling against each other. Amaris could only hope that the spells she had picked up during her time at Hogwarts were enough, it would be quite embarrassing if she failed to cast a decent spell. Glancing at the host of the duel, an older student Amaris hadn’t meant before, she pulled out her aspen wood wand, clenching it tightly. Bowing, she attempted to calm her racing mind that was filled with a strange mixture of enthusiasm and worry. Bowing seemed unusual to the girl, seeming more like an old-school practice but again, perhaps wizards did things differently. Taking a deep breath, she prepared her wand. She guided her wand to weave the fire-making spell, her mouth uttering the incantation in unison. Amaris had no clue if that was a good spell to start with but from her limited selection, it was the one that had appealed to her the most. Amaris felt a smile begin to appear on her face as her spell hit Ashley, tendrils of flame now rising from him. The knot in her stomach eased knowing that she hadn’t made a complete fool of herself. It had worked and she could feel the adrenaline pulsing through her body. However, her joy was short-lived as Ashley’s only spell was hurled toward her, leaving her with no time to dodge it to her displeasure. She couldn’t recognize the spell, but the effects were clear. Her wand shot out of her hand, landing with a faint ‘clink’ on the ground. Pursing her lips, Amaris’s palm suddenly felt strangely empty and vulnerable without her only weapon in this duel. It would certainly be a disadvantage to her, but she attempted to be optimistic for a change, it wouldn’t matter, she still had a viable chance at winning this duel. 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭

The boy was set flame by the success of Amaris' Incendio and he exclaimed, "Ouch!" It was painful for him to lose some life points, but this time, he would have to make a precarious escape because the young man needed to win the duel to survive. He would also need to put up a lot of exertion if he were to make it to the finals.

With that said, Ashley appeared to have succeeded in disarming the girl despite the incoming stream of fury that Amaris' wand unleashed. At this point, it was the ideal time to actually pull off a stealthy manoeuvre. "They say that if you seek, you will find" Ashley ridiculed while casting a pointed look at her opponent who appeared to be groping for their wand.

The boy took a moment to gather himself and kept a close eye on the opposition. He planned his course of action for the following move. He spoke in a vicious tone, like a snake hissing and anticipating to expel venom on its victim, while saying, "I like the fact that you are not being lenient on me, I guess I should start doing things right and playing my cards right, don't you think." Ashley didn't seem to be very affected by what had happened because he was grinning maniacally and appeared to be beginning to enjoy himself. Bring it on! He chuckled like a psychotic monster who was relishing every moment of what was transpiring in place, saying, "Give me all you've got. From this Ravenclaw, a kenpachi is produced.

The child grimaced evilly to himself and said, "Search search and you shall not find." It appears that Amaris lost her wand for the moment. How intriguing that luck has actually been on his side. The kid needed to use something he had up his sleeve to end this combat on a right high note now that the lass had been disarmed.

The lad yelled "fli-PEN-doh" as his wand sent forth an intense purple hue that raced directly for his foe. As a result, the girl Ashley was having a duel with was knocked backwards. The enthusiastic child said, "Bingo." Underestimation, however, was not essential in this kind of circumstance. He needed to keep his head in the game.

In addition to being disarmed, his opponent had also been knocked back, "ouch." That was something Ashley was supposed to use to his favour. The boy had one shot at this, Amaris was knocked back, but he couldn't pull off two tricks at once, so he thought of a better approach. Even still, he was unwilling to allow the other person an opportunity to even exhale because this was roleplay and the boy needed to win to distinguish himself from the competition. However, a single small triumph wasn't enough to determine the endpoint of the duel; consequently, everything depended on his skills.
