March 25th 2023 Saturday Time: 8:00Am
It was a cool Saturday morning. Spring was right around the corner. The fresh smell of blooming flowers wafted through out the castle grounds. The varieties of different trees danced in the calm refreshing breeze that the early morning had to offer. The sun was slowly rising over the horizon the hues of golden orange, purples and blue radiated the sky. What few clouds that had formed over time drifted lazily by as slow as a snails pace. The wind drifted by lazily picking up fallen leaves left behind from the late winter that was merely just around. The songs of the early birds drifted around the air melodically soothing even the grumpiest of all souls.

As the sun started to rise over the horizon the suns reflection beamed down onto the great darkly colored lake. The lake was still besides a few ripples every now and then from the movements of insects and fish that glided across and under the dark surface. As the radiate sun beamed brightly onto the lake the lake though still dark in color seems to brighten slightly due to the radiating sunlight that was showering down upon its dark still surface.

The morning was fairly early, actually many students and even a few professors were not entirely awake as of yet sense after all it was a weekend. No sane person would be awake this early besides maybe an early bird. Walking down towards the lake was Alana. Alana had a small brown satchel that held all of her books. The young eleven year old tends to wake up early even on days that it is not necessary to. Alana skipped happily towards the lake her fiery red hair smoothly rolled off her shoulders in little red waves. Her freckled splattered face seemed to look a bit brighten from the early morning rays of light. The young girls sea-foam teal blue eyes sparkled brightly. Her button nose stood out prominently amongst all of her freckles that reached from the bridge of her nose to her cheek bones. The young girl stood about four feet and five inches tall.

Nearing closer to the lake Alana found her favorite spot that rested amongst under two very large oak trees that laid on the lake side. The two large oaks were down a small slope. Alana moved closer to the slightly sloped area. The slope down ground had enough grip for one to move freely up and down if they were cautious and careful. Moving slowly down the slope Alana looked across the Great Lake. Her sea-foam blue eyes scanned the area happily a smile forming on her freckled splattered face. The young eleven year old girl took in a small intake of air letting the fresh scent of newly blooming flowers waft through her senses. The cries of the morning birds singing drifted happily through the air as if the were birds were performing a musical number.

The fiery red haired girl stared across the lake for a few as the sun beamed brightly down on her. Her fiery red hair seemed to shine in the sunlight similar to a freshly lit fire. Her sea-foam blue eyes seemed a bit brighter with the sun's reflection down upon her. Her freckles popped more prominently across her button shaped nose. Alana's outfit was not that of a school attire she wore a light toffee colored long sleeve cotton sweatshirt, as she adorned a light tawny brown plaid skirt with dark brown almost black lines adorning across the knee length skirt. The shoes that she had put on this morning were white converse with flowers embedded into them. Her fiery red hair rested upon her shoulders in little fiery waves.

Alana pulled her brown satchel off from around her left shoulder and sat down with her legs towards the left hand side. Opening up the satchel the young eleven year old leaned against the lively oak behind her and pulled out a book about Mental Potions. The young eleven year old opened up her book her eyes reading every word that laid upon the rigid paper pages in front her. The smell of old ink wafted her senses making the young girl sigh blissfully. The one thing Alana enjoyed the most was reading and being outside. The sweet smell of spring wafted through the air with freshly blooming flowers mixing with the smell of old ink brought a sense of inner peace with the young girl.

Alana relaxed zoning out as she continued reading her book hidden away between the two oak trees. Her only company her lovely Potions book and the vast Great Lake that resided next her. Nothing could really disturb the peace that the young girl seemed to have drifted into.

The sounds of snoring filled the boys dormitory inside the Gryffindor Common Rooms, but Argahlon was wide awake and ready to start the day. He was already dressed in his normal Gryffindor outfit and robe, while holding a couple books close to his chest. The emerald eyed boy left the Common Rooms slowly, making sure to be as quiet as possible so none of the other students were disturbed. The long walk out of the castle was always the absolute worst. The moving stairs, familiar portraits, and Armor that was scattered about always had the red head confused on where everything was.

After finally making his way out of Hogwarts Castle, Argahlon was met with a cool breeze that swept through his hair and caused the young boy to smile wide. It was refreshing to be outside at such an early hour and there was barely anyone in sight. β€œI could really get used to this.” He spoke softly, taking in the magnificent view that was in front of him. The field, the trees, the sun, it was all very alluring, making him feel at home in a sense. Arg looked around and found the path that led down towards the lake, so he began his little journey to find a peaceful spot to relax.

The trees were swaying back and forth from the cool breeze sweeping down the valley, causing Arg to pull his hood up with their right hand, while continuing down what seemed like an endless path. Argahlon didn’t mind the long walk because of the scenery around him. He was used to the city lights and busy streets, so this was different to him in almost every way. There weren’t people shouting, no vehicles around, and it was quiet. Argahlon found peace in the silence at Hogwarts during the early mornings. It gave him proper time to relax and actually study without any interruptions.

Once the ginger boy rounded the final corner that led him to the lake, he stopped in his tracks and took in the amazing view of the lake. With the sun glimmering off the surface, it was a sight Argahlon would never forget. β€œI don’t think I ever want to go home.” He stated in a soft tone, before stepping forward to continue down the path just a bit longer. There were large trees that surrounded the lake in certain locations and Arg knew that he wanted to pick a spot where he would see the lake as he studied, so he stepped off the path and towards the large Oak trees that resided nearby.

In the distance there was a glimmer of light hitting the fiery, long red hair of someone who seemed to be doing exactly what he wanted. Whoever it was, they seemed to have found the perfect spot. Argahlon was curious to who it was, so he walked towards the large Oak and noticed a light toffee colored sweatshirt poking out as well. Just as he began to pass the tree, he glanced to his left and noticed that it was Alana Dibble, another First year Gryffindor much like himself. β€œAlana, hey! What brings you way out here this early in the morning?” He spoke excitedly because it was a very familiar face to him.

The fiery red haired girl seemed to startle a bit hearing the newcomer approach her. Alana looked up at Argahlon her sea-foam teal eyes shined brightly as the rising sunlight radiated down upon the duo. Alana stared up at Argahlon noting his attire that he wore which was a normal school uniform. The young girl must have looked out of place wearing her attire. Her toffee colored long sleeve shirt seemed to rest right at the young girls wrist. Her tawny brown plaid skirt rested at her knee caps. The young girl stared up at Argahlon from her resting spot. Alana remained sitting on the grass underneath the two oak trees.

The gentle wind breeze blew against the duo gently rustling Alana's fiery red hair gently. The fiery red hair shone brightly with the radiating sunlight. The young fiery red haired girl gazed upon Argahlon analyzing his appearance. The young eleven year old girl smiled gently at her friend. Her sea-foam teal eyes sparkled with the sun's rays gazing down upon the duo. The dark vast lake seemed to shone brightly though it was still dark in color the surface barely seemed to be as still as glass.

"Hello Argahlon. I am just relaxing after all this is the perfect time to relax and enjoy the weather. It is ever so peaceful around this time. The sweet melody of the birds singing, the sweet smell of spring. One never notices how peaceful the world is until you actually are surrounded by it."

Alana spoke sweetly. Her eyes sparkled with every word that she spoke. Glancing over at her red haired friend the fiery red haired girl smiling sweetly. Staring up at Argahlon smiling sweetly. The young girl was at peace the nature surrounding the duo was ever so calming. The soft sounds of the watery surface lapped peacefully at the shore side. The birds sung melodically around in the air. The suns rays shone brightly onto the vast lakeside. Alana turned her gaze towards the lake once more her sea-foam teal eyes gazing gracefully over the vast lake. Alana hummed sweetly her gaze was soft and full of peace.

Alana turned her attention back towards Argahlon a smile gracing her sun-kiss tone face her freckles popped out vibrantly. Her sea-foam blue eyes sparkled greatly. As she looked up at the taller boy her back still resting against the oak tree behind her. Alana seemed to lose herself in the nature once again as she cocked her head to the right hand side glance over at the lake. A peaceful expression gracing her soft features.

The sun ascended from the horizon and gleamed down upon the dark lake, while the two redheads continued their conversation. Argahlon held his books close to his chest and nodded at what Alana was saying. Every word she spoke was absolutely true and Arg unfortunately lived in the city, so it was rare that he could enjoy the true value of nature. Instead, he was left with loud noises from the constant traffic of vehicles and people going from shop to shop to get what they needed. He particularly didn’t care for the city life, so Hogwarts was a complete dream to him.

Before speaking in return, Argahlon looked over at the lake once more and continued to smile. β€œIt’s beautiful, right? Not only the lake, but everything here. I grew up in a small city, so this is all new to me.” He admitted to Alana, while putting his attention back on her. Arg pulled his right hand away from the books to grip the hood of the robe and pull it free from his head. His freckles popped with the sun beaming down upon his face through the leaves of the large Oak trees.

Argahlon looked up at the sky and inhaled deeply, before exhaling slowly. The cool air was just enough to show his breath. It wasn’t cold or anything really, but the cool breeze that swept down through the valley was always enough to send a shiver down the spine at times. He then looked back down and smiled lightly. β€œMind if I take a seat by this tree here?” He pointed to the tree just across from the red headed girl. β€œYou picked the best spot, so I figured why not camp up close and get some studying in.” He patted the books with his right hand and continued to smile.

Alana smiled sweetly at the red haired boy. The fiery red haired girl herself smiled gently at Argahlon her sea-foam teal eyes sparkled kindly. The gentle wind breeze caught a lock of her fiery hair making it dance slightly in the breeze. The sun radiated down upon the duo making Alana’s hair pop out similar to a freshly lit fire. Alana glanced over at the lake her mind wandered for a moment.

Alana could semi relate to Argahlon growing up in a large seaside town herself though where she lived yes it was a bunch of bustling and hustle but a vast ocean surrounded the seaside town. The seaside town of Hastings was vast big but not of a big city.

Alana glanced over at Argahlon noting that she had not responded back to him. The fiery red haired girl smiled sweetly at the first year boy that was in front of her. Alana smiled softly at her friend gazing at him with a warm and kind look.

β€œMake yourself right at home. If you like I can scoot over or we can trade spots if you like I do not mind at all!”

Alana spoke sweetly to the young red haired boy. Her honey sweet tone echoed softly around the duo. The wind gently nipped Alana’s ears making the young girl smile a bit more. Gazing up towards the baby blue sky Alana got lost in a little trance as the cotton white clouds drifted lazily by. The wind blew dead leaves across the lake as if they were doing a musical number. The soft putter patter of the fish jumping up slightly to the surface to eat the insects that hovered above them was like music to the red haired girls ears. Turning her attention back to Argahlon Alana continued smiled sweetly.

β€œReminds me of home sort of. I grew up and currently still live in Hastings it’s a large seaside town so it has a lot of bustling and all but it is still filled with wonderful nature. Maybe I convince my Mum and Da to let you come and visit you sure will love it there. Maybe the rest of the gang can come to!”

Alana spoke excitedly a huge grin broaden her face just the thought of having all of close friends in one place. Alana could already imagine the camp outs the gang could have and all of the fun and even if only Argahlon came or even Ying. Alana seemed excited at the thought of a new adventure with her close friends.

The fiery red haired girls sea-foam teal eyes sparkled in pure joy at what the future held for her and her friends. Alana knew many things could happen. Snapping out of her thoughts Alana grabbed her books to move slightly invades Argahlon decided to move closer or for her to move and trade spots. After all Alana did not mind as long as her friend was happy after all. That is who Alana is putting others first. Alana continued to smile brightly at Argahlon awaiting his response. Though she did admit she rambled a bit at the thought of showing her friend and other friends her hometown.

Argahlon couldn’t help but to smile at the generosity from Alana, before giving the red haired girl a soft nod and slouching over to sit down next to her with his back against the rigid bark of the oak tree. β€œThis is perfectly fine right here!” He spoke softly, while pulling his legs close and putting the books on the grass. His left hand rested on the Magical Creatures textbook, before he looked over his shoulder at Alana as she began to speak about her home outside of Hogwarts. It was similar to his lifestyle, besides the beach and ocean. Argahlon never had the chance to visit the ocean and always heard great things about it, but after being here, he felt that nothing could compare to Hogwarts.

When she finished up, Arg smiled wide once more and nodded happily. β€œOh man, I would love that! I think Ying, Raizel, and Reuben would, too!! Never in my life have a been to the ocean and I think my parents wouldn’t mind, especially if I told them it was with someone from here.” He responded, while finally flipping the textbook open to a random page. He looked down and saw a Kneazel with a bunch of information on it as well. It was at that moment that a few Diricawl could be heard in the distance. Argahlon quickly looked up in amazement and glanced over at Alana. β€œDid you hear that?! The Diricawl are pretty active this morning!” He admitted with a slight chuckle.

As Argahlon looked back down at the book with his emerald eyes, the young redhead pulled out a small container and set it on the grass. He quickly snapped it open and reached in to pull out a cookie. β€œDon’t be shy, you can eat as many as you want, I have more hiding in the Common Rooms!” He said excitedly, while nomming on the cookie happily. The young boy was always so joyful and happy, even when life was pulling him down. Right now, he was thrilled to be outside the castle with a friend studying the things he enjoyed most.

Hearing the diricawls lively morning calls. Alana breathed in the fresh air her sea-foam teal eyes glanced over towards the forbidden forest that was lively with the more gentle creatures during this time. The fiery red haired girl glanced over towards Argahlon noting that he took out a decent size container full of cookies. The young fiery red haired girl reached down and grabbed a cookie gently taking a bite from it. The young girl continued gazing off into the distance listening to everything that was awakening.

Alana glanced across the vast Great Lake her sea-foam teal eyes sparkled with pure joy. Alana hummed gently her gaze turning towards Argahlon her soft gaze glancing at him as a smile broaden her freckled splattered face.

"It is amazing what the early mornings bring. If you look over towards the Great Lake sometimes you can be lucky and see Hippogriffs fly about it is very rare though."

Alana spoked softly a gently smile on her face. The fiery red haired girl glanced across the vast lake watching the suns reflection ripple gently across the glass still waters. The pleasant wind breeze picked up the fallen leave drifting them across the vast lake. Alana's fiery red hair swayed gently in the gentle breeze. Alana smiled sweetly across the vast waters.

Alana hummed gently as she grabbed one of her books. The book that Alana opened up first was about the Great wizarding war. Alana hummed as the silence between the duo was peaceful. The sun rising seemed to brighten the vast Great lake greatly the gentle morning rays reflecting against the vast dark colored lake. The morning birds chirped happily, the sounds of the Diricawls seemed to brighten the outdoors greatly. The fresh scent of the blooming flowers wafted through the air gently. The smell of fresh flowers along with the morning dew wafted around the duo.

Across the lake the creatures that resided in it seemed almost lively the fish every now and then could be heard coming up to the surface. The giant squad that resided in the vast dark lake reached a tentacle out for just a millisecond making it's presence known. The fiery red haired girl looked up from her book watching the nature around her. Many birds fluttered by making their presence known. A small red cardinal landed on top of the tree the duo were relaxing under. The soft patter of frogs hopping by the lake shore could be heard making soft patters.

Taking in a small breathe of air the young fiery red haired girl continued staring over at the vast lake a smile adorning her soft sun-kissed tone skin. Alana's freckled popped vibrantly on her sun-kissed face her button nose made her freckles pop out much more. The young girl continued smiling an awestruck look on her small oval shaped face.

"It is amazing what one see's during the early hours the vast lake seems almost lively right about now. Even the birds seem at peace with their sweet melodies playing in the air."

Alana spoke softly her tone soft as honey. The fiery red haired girl continued staring at the Great Lake though she was not sure if the red haired boy that sat beside her seemed to hear her or not though it would not bother her much if he seemed more lost in his book then what was surrounding them after all. The gentle cool breeze fluttered by the duo knocking a few strands of Alana's fiery red hair in front of her soft oval shaped face. Making the young girl push the strays back a bit. The young girl enjoying the scenery around the duo.

Argahlon pressed his back against the tree gently and began to take in the wonderful view. The sun glimmering off the water of the lake, the vibrant colors created from the sun, which scattered across the morning sky, then the many different species that resided in the area as well. It was such a pleasant view, Argahlon almost forgot he was in the presence of company. It was at that moment when Alana mentioned the Hippogriffs that can be seen on rare occasions. Arg looked over at the red haired girl with a bright smile. β€œH-have you ever seen them before? I will have to come down here every morning until I see them!” He spoke with excitement in his voice.

The Diricawl continued to crow about in the distance, chatting amongst their kind and enjoying the life they had within the grounds of Hogwarts. It had Argahlon excited for the future, because the young red head wanted to study and help all magical creatures. He pulled another cookie to his lips, crunching down on the crisp chocolate chip cookie, while gazing down at one of his books again. The study of Magical Creatures was something Argahlon could not wait for, so he picked out a couple books on some of the basic animals he may come across on this journey. The Kneazel and Diricawl.

The young redhead reached forward and grabbed a cookie from the box, while continuing to read from the book. Arg flipped the page and smiled wide. There was a picture of a group of Kneazel’s just hanging out in a forest. β€œWow, I can’t wait to learn about this in class!” He spoke out loud and chuckled lightly, before looking up from the book, and spotted a pair of Hippogriffs gliding along the sky. Arg dropped the book and pointed excitedly. β€œAlana, look!” He took another bite of the cookie and took in the view he was currently seeing.

Alana stayed quiet enjoying the relaxing more breeze skip across the vast Great lake the murky lake water rippled with the winds touch as if breaking unseen glass. The fallen leaves danced around the duo as if they were performing their own little dance. The sound of the gentle breeze sounded as if it was nothing, but a whisper. The sweet smell of fresh blooming flowers wafted through the calm air the scents of roses and lilies wafting gently welcoming the oncoming of spring. Alana glanced over at Arg smiling though she just stopped talking about the Hippogriffs that can be rarely seen the young girls soft sea-foam blue eyes sparkled as if they were the ocean with the sun's ray reflecting off of them.

β€œH-have you ever seen them before? I will have to come down here every morning until I see them!”

The young boy spoke with excitement. Alana stared at the young Gryffindor boy smiling softly before turning her gaze back across the vast dark murky lake. Though one really could not see what lived inside the lake it was full of mysteries and well creatures as well. Alana hummed softly a gentle smiled spread softly on her soft oval shaped face her thin heart shaped lips moved upwards. Her sea-foam blue eyes continued to sparkle like the vast ocean bathing in the sunlight. Alana continued to stare ahead her fiery red hair seemed to glow like a freshly lit fire the sun's rays reflecting off of her bright fiery hair gently.

"Not really, but sometimes you can hear their majestic cries."

Alana spoke softly her soft sea-foam gaze continued to stare across the murky lake water as it rippled gently as if the lake it self seemed at peace with the serene peace that surrounded it at this very moment. Alana listened to her surroundings a soft hum escaped her lips soft pink lips, her fiery red hair danced gently in the gentle breeze that made it's appearance once again among the duo. This peaceful serenity was exactly that peaceful, barely any chatter of noisy students, no distractions. Alana felt a bit of peace waft over her. The young girl continued to smile brightly her thoughts drifted to what was in store for the future all of the creatures that she would meet alongside her friends. After all the future was unpredictable, one does not know what is instore after all. That is why the future is unpredictable.

The Diricawls continued with their chatter in the distance, but even that was a peaceful noise.
Alana continued her gaze across the lake she felt tired of reading for the moment. The young fiery red haired girl thought it would be better to enjoy the nature that Hogwarts had to offer them after all days like this are rare. One does embrace nature altogether unless they dwell in the moment. The sweet sounds of the Diricawls continued to chatter in the far distance, the sounds of the songbird continued their sweet honey like melody around the Hogwarts grounds, the soft hooting of the owls returning from their night runs were heading back towards the Owlery to rest for the day until they are needed. Even the soft sounds of frogs croaking making their presence known echoed softly around the lake. The soft whistle of the wind breezed by the duo gently making Alana's fiery red hair dance in the wind as if it was a campfire flames dancing around. Alana was even content with the soft sound of Argahlon's munching away on his chocolate chip cookies that he had laying beside him.

β€œWow, I can’t wait to learn about this in class!”

Argalon spoke out loud and chuckled lightly. Alana broke out of her trance looking over at the book. A smile appearing softly on her freckled splattered face the young girl's button shaped nose popped out drastically while her hair continued to dance lightly in the gentle breeze. Alana's sea-foam blue eyes continued to radiate joy as if she was told the greatest news in the world. Before the young girl could speak up Argahlon dropped the book he was holding and pointed excitedly shouting.

β€œAlana, look!”

Alana glanced upwards where the young boy was pointing. Up in the broad sky near the forbidden forest were a pair of Hippogriffs though their appearances where hard to make out, one could tell the colors and the creatures easily as they glide through the air with grace. After all one who knows what Hippogriffs are know that they are graceful creatures. The fiery red haired girl smiled excitedly as the wind picked up slightly. Alana glanced down to her belongings, before turning her gaze back to Argahlon. The young girl gently began to pick up her things before standing up from the ground that she was previously resting a top of. Staring down at the young boy Alana smiled brightly.

"Well I must be off now. I have to go meet up with Ying. Hope to see you later on today Argahlon. Maybe we can all meet up for lunch at the Great hall!"

Alana spoke cheerfully her smile broaden greatly as her freckled splattered face sparkled similar to the night sky. Alana brushed a stray strand of her fiery red hair behind her hair. She was running later after all so she the young girl did not stay to await a response from from the young boy before making her trek back up towards the vast Gothic castle that is now home to the young girl. Taking one last glance backwards Alana smiled gently. She was glad she got to know Argahlon better the young girl felt happy to know somebody else seemed to enjoy nature as much as she did. Turning back towards the castle the young girl began her trek after all she promised her best friend to help wit something the young fiery red haired girl forgot exactly what it was to be honest. Thus the young girl ended up leaving the Great Lake to head back towards the vast gothic castle.
