Just by passing by, one could already see the variety of pets being sold in the Magical Menagerie. Animal cages were lined up, both on the outside and on the inside, filled with owls, cats and many more creatures that's waiting to be picked up by their forever partner and friend, hoping that they would all be taken care of. The place was a little crowded, some students that were picking up their things for their first day of school had been attracted by the animals that were displayed, eager to pick up their own furry friend that shall accompany them for the rest of the days to come. One could see the colorful creatures through the shop's window, Pygmy puffs as they are called. Fluffy and small, a bit popular. The shop also offers different kinds of lizards and they sure look very cool. Spiders are also for sale. While some aren't fond of these creepy crawlies, there are those willing to give them love. There are tons to choose from and right now, one of the first year students couldn't decide what they will be getting.

Some had already gotten their pets, leaving the shop with a bright smile on their faces as they carried the cage where their pet lies, others were still in the middle of picking what exactly they wanted. It was hard to decide as there are a lot of choices presented before them and one can only have one pet so they have to choose wisely.

Standing in front of the shop was a young girl. She had long dark brown hair that she had kept loose at the moment and a pair of dark brown eyes. Her gaze was on the shop, on the different creatures that she could see from where she was. She was given the chance to get a pet, a companion, believing that it will help her while she stays in Hogwarts in which she agreed. Being alone from home in an unfamiliar place would surely make her feel very lonely, especially when she doesn't know a lot of people yet. She had gotten most of her things, her books, her wand and her other school peripherals. She wasn't planning on getting a pet but after seeing the shop and the displayed creatures, much more when she saw the happy look on some of students' faces as they bought their own, she can't help but pause on her track and wonder about getting one for herself. If that's something that'll make her feel better in her stay in Hogwarts.

Raizel didn't tell her parents about wanting a pet though as she wasn't sure if they could even afford one. They aren't that rich but they aren't poor either. Her mother's income is where they get all their money for now and it ain't that much either as she only sells a couple of her magical plants to nearby potion makers. She is just being mindful of their expenses. She just stood there, waiting until her parents came back. They are still doing some payments inside one of the nearby stores and she wanted to stay outside while waiting for them. Not like she will go that far and the Magical Menagerie was the one that she wanted to check out while waiting for her parents.

It didn't take that long when her parents came back, looking ready to go and start their journey to the train station to Hogwarts. "That's everything right?" Raizel asked them, looking between her mother and father and her little brother that seemed to be distracted by the animals nearby as well while he was in his mother's arms.

"Not quite." Her mother, Michelle answered, making the young girl to tile her head. She was sure that they had everything that she needed for school. Raizel looked at her mother who gestured towards the shop of magical creatures that she was just checking out earlier, eyes widening in realization of what she meant, a smile crept on her face.

"Can I really?" Raizel asked her mother, can't believe that they are gonna buy her one. That nod from her mother was enough to make her smile so brightly.

"Have you decided on what you're gonna get? We saw you staring at them for quite some time." This time, it was her father, Ravi who spoke. He was looking at the owls just outside the shop, checking out what species they have for sale currently.

"I am not sure yet." The young girl answered, following her father's gaze towards the owls, finding them very intriguing. There were different colors of them, different species perhaps although she isn't that knowledgeable when it comes to that but she is willing to learn. Aside from spells, she is interested in the different creatures, magical or non-magical. "They all look so amazing." She said as she observed the majestic creature before her, almost startling when she heard one make a noise, giggling at that.

"You choose carefully now as you can only get one and promise to take care of it okay?"

"Of course dad! I promise! They are friends, family even." Raizel answered her father, being true to her words. She then turned to look at the owls once again, feeling like she is a bit drawn to them but maybe, they could look around a bit more. "Can we check inside?"

"Of course, but it is very crowded. Why not go with her Michelle? I'll carry Mizkie." Ravi said to his wife, offering to carry their son in which his wife took the offer, gently handing him over to Ravi.

"Shall we?" Michelle said to Raizel and let the young girl lead the way to the shop. Much like outside, the shop was full of creatures that are for sale. The shopkeepers caught her eyes and they greeted them with a smile on their faces when they met gazes. The young girl gave them a wave and a smile of her own, being as friendly as she could despite her shyness. She then went to walk around, checking the cages and what other animals they have to offer. Seeing the spider almost made her flinch, not that afraid of them but she isn't that fond of them either. Moving on, a snake caught her attention but no, not the right one for her. Going over to another side of the shop, walking past a couple of students, the cats' meows catching her attention. Like the other animals, they have a couple of species available to choose from. Then again, she isn't that much of a cat person. She likes cats, mind you, but right now, it wasn't what she was attracted to.

"Having troubles?" One of the owners of the shop approached her, making the girl to turn towards the old shopkeeper, looking up as the man was quite tall being 6 ft. He wore a pair of wire framed glasses and was sporting a checkered flannel. He has a soft smile on his face as he looked over to the animals that they have.

"Uh, yes sir. I was uhmm, there are a lot of creatures to choose from and I don't know which one." Raizel admitted, looking over to her mother who just joined them. She mostly letting her daughter look around. It is her who's choosing her companion after all.

"There are a lot but I am sure that you'll find the right one. Something that truly catches your eyes among them." He told her as he left and let the girl continue her search for the right companion. One that truly catches her eyes huh. Raizel looked around, wondering what had caught her attention at first. The lizards? Nope. Sure they are cool and all but no. Glancing back the doors of the shop, she remembers those owls. "Mom, can we check the owls once more?" She asked her mother and she did agreed. The owls had her interest then perhaps one of them is her destine companion.

Going back to where the owls were, the young girl began to take a closer look at them. Some were big and some were small. Some are brown and some as white as snow. They all look so brilliant that she just stared at them with awe, more specifically, one of the white colored ones. It look so fluffy with those feathers, almost all white unlike some of its other variation with specks of black on them. She had been staring at it for quite some time that it made her mother smile. She has the feeling that Raizel had finally found the right one.

"Do you like it?" Michelle's voice and question made the young girl to snap out of her trance, turning her head to look at the woman and then back to the owl. A smile slowly crept on her face, realizing now that she might've found the right one for her considering how attracted she was to it at first. Raizel nodded before giving the owner of the shop that she had interacted with earlier a wave, a happy look on her face then. "Mister, I think I found the right one." She told him happily and the old man can't help but smile, glad that the girl had found the right companion for her and she seems to be happy with her decision. He helped them carry the cage, Michelle following after to pay for it with Raizel behind them. Her eyes were still on the cage of the white owl, hearing it let out a cry which made her smile.

"Do you have a name for your companion?" the owner asked and the young girl began to think of a name for it. What would be good? She wants it to be cool and perhaps something related to its color or perhaps, snow because it does remind her of that. Snow, white? Snow white? Isn't that the name of the character from a fairy tale? Stories, Mythology. "Oh, I think I have one. I would like to call it Boreas. I read it before in one of my mom's book. The god of the North Wind." She told him happily.

"That is a nice name. Then Boreas it is. Please take good care of it."
