Time For Something New
To Ciel, there was always something exciting about trying something new. She had been contemplating getting her ears pierced for quite a while now, and after coming back home for Easter break, she decided now was the best time. The ball was coming up soon and she wanted to look her best for the girl she was going with!
So she decided to beg one of her brother's into taking her to get her ears pierced. While her mother had signed off on it, she was unable to take Ciel herself, which meant the young girl would have to rely on Dion or Beaux to get her new piercing.
As luck would have it, they were both busy with something. It upset her to an infinite degree that she wouldn't be able to get her ears pierced to show Valarie, and also not have pretty earrings to wear while she danced at the ball. But then- Dion suddenly got a day off of work, and he offered to take her! Jumping around with joy and giving her brother a hug, he just grumbled and told her to hop in the car.
The car ride was mostly quiet as the two went to the parlor that would pierce Ciel's ears. Though she was jittering with excitement, Ciel was also kind of nervous. What would it be like to have a hole in her ear? How badly would it hurt to get her ears pierced? Oh gosh how are they already there!?
As soon as her thoughts had started, Dion had already exited the car and motioned for her to get out and follow him. She decided to leave her satchel in the car- if she fainted from the piercing then the bag might get lost! Or even worse, it could get torn up trying to take her to the hospital! Oh, she prayed she wouldn't pass out.
"Go sit down over there," Dion motioned to a couple of empty chairs as he walked up to the woman standing behind a counter. "I'll make sure everything looks good."
And then she sat down and waited, too nervous to look around the room and too excited to not! Ciel tapped her fingernails and would occasionally play with her hair. The clock was ticking!

If she had a choice, Aisley would've stayed at Hogwarts for Easter, but it seemed like that option just wasn't in the cards for her. About two months prior, her father had sent a letter to her and her sister telling them that he had a new girlfriend, Scarlett. Scarlett also had a son, so this Easter Break would be a big one. Aisley had tried to have a positive outlook on her dad's new relationship, but she didn't want things to change. She liked how things were with her dad, even if it did mean leaving her dad's for two weeks to go to her mom's.
Her dad had noticed her attitude the moment she'd stepped off the train. Thankfully, he hadn't brought Scarlett with him, though he did mention she was at the house with her son, Samuel. Aisley had rolled her eyes, and when her dad noticed, he said he'd make it up to her, and that he understood that this was not something to be enjoyed.
So now, Aisley was sitting in the passenger seat of her dad's car on the way to where she always got her piercings done. Aisley had decided that the moment her dad said he would make it up to her, she would get a Helix piercing in her left ear to contrast her industrial in her right. After the hour-long car drive to get to Windsor from Brighton, the car pulled up to the parlor. Entering the shop, Aisley took a seat next to a girl who looked quite nervous while her father checked her in for the appointment they'd made the day before.
She looked over to the girl who was tapping her nails and occasionally twirling her hair, "Nervous? Is this your first piercing?" Aisley asked the girl, who after closer observation, looked quite familiar.
She had dark blonde hair and honey-brown eyes. Her skin wasn't too tan or too light, and if she stood up, she might have been taller than Aisley. Her style though, seemed to be more western, which was quite unique for someone who lived in England. Still, Aisley felt like she had seen the girl from somewhere. Maybe school?
Tucking a strand of her now faded pink hair behind her ear, Aisley commented her curiosity, "You seem familiar. Have I met you before?"@Ciel Saskia

All attempts of calming herself fell unsuccessful. Her feet continued shaking as she glanced around the parlor once more. To her surprise, another young girl came in with an older man- maybe her father or older brother? Ciel looked away as to not stare at the two and continued swaying her legs back and forth.
Another surprise came when the girl sat down next to Ciel and began talking. "Oh, yeah, this is my first piercing," Ciel turned to face the girl fully. "I'm going to my school Spring Ball when I get back, so I'm getting my ears pierced for my... date?"
She wasn't really sure on what to call Val. Obviously, she was going to the dance with her as a date, there was nothing friendly about that- but it still felt odd to call her a date. It was like she hadn't passed the appropriate territory to call the Ravenclaw that.
When the pink-haired girl mentioned the familiarity, Ciel almost commented that she felt the same- but she quickly stopped herself. She wasn't at school right now, and she definitely didn't want to get in trouble with the Ministry of Magic- just thinking of a whole bunch of old wizards and witches yelling at her for accidently spilling the beans was enough to make her shudder.
"Oh, I don't- I don't know?" Ciel panicked, nervously picking at her fingernails. "I don't- um- go to school around her. I go to a boarding school in Scotland..." Yes, a boarding school, that was the excuse her parents and brothers had used anytime someone asked about Ciel. And, while they technically weren't wrong, it still felt weird to meet with family members that only knew that she was going to school far away.
"My name is Ciel, by the way," she started, hoping for the pink-haired girl to move on. "Ciel Saskia."

Aisley gave a comforting smile to the girl once she mentioned it was her first piercing, then gasped at the fact that her school was also holding a Spring Ball. Maybe this girl also went to Hogwarts. It would explain why she looked familiar.
"I know how scary first piercings can be, but pierced ears will definitely give you someextra bling for that Spring Ball!" she exclaimed, making sure not to say anything about Hogwarts. It would not be good if she mentioned it and this girl turned out to be a muggle. After Aisley mentioned that the girl seemed familiar, she observed the girl had stoppedherself from saying something before she nervously explained that she went to a boarding school in Scotland and how she doubted that Aisley would have seen her before. How ironic was it that Hogwarts could be considered a boarding school in Scotland and this girl mentioned attending a boarding school in Scotland? Aisley narrowed her eyes in suspicion.Soon after, the girl introduced herself as Ciel Saskia, a name that Aisley also recognized.Luckily, Aisley picked up on the change of subject and dropped the conversation about seeming familiar, instead substituting for a simple introduction."I'm Aisley Solace." she said, shooting a smile at Ciel before continuing, "And I'd be one hundred percent willing to answer any and all questions you need to ask if it helps ease your nerves!@Ciel Saskia

The girl was right, piercings were scary. Terrifying, even. The idea that there would be a needle going through her ear and then BAM, a hole?! Her body could shiver at just the thought! Nervously, she ran one of her hands over her ear- and then the thought that she would soon have silver in it made her nervous again.
As soon as Ciel had mentioned that she went to a boarding school, she noticed the girl's eyes narrow in suspicion. Uh oh! That definitely wasn't good. She refused to make eye contact with the pink girl, hiding herself further into the seat she was sitting in. Don't think of scary people from the Ministry yelling at you, Ciel, don't do it!
"Aisley! That's a pretty name! It kind of sounds familiar, honestly!" Ciel cut off her thoughts after the girl- Aisley introduced herself. "And Solace is such a nice last name, it's so satisfying to say. I think names that start with an 's' are always the best kind to say."
Though she might've been a bit biased, due to her own last name starting with the letter, there was something so fun about making the 's' sound. To Ciel, it was almost like a snake hissing! Of course, anytime she actually saw a snake, she'd make that goofy hissing noise.
"You have piercings, right? How many? Did they all hurt?"

Ciel's reactions were getting more suspicious by the minute. The glance she'd sent in the girl'sdirection earlier had the girl practically trembling, though right now, having people be scared of her for no reason was not her goal.
After introducing herself to Ciel, the girl also mentioned that her name was familiar. Aisley laughedit off, not wanting to freak Ciel out more, and said, "I'm sure it's probably nothing. Just a strange sense of deja vu."
Hearing Ciel's following few questions made Aisley happy that she could help ease nerves. After all,it is one of the things she did best. Aisley believes that stating her own personal experiences really helps with the process. It helps to let others know that she understands what Ciel and others are going through. "I currently have six piercings, and I'm about to get my seventh today. I know it seems like a lot for a 12-year-old, but my parents are really supportive of self-expression." Aisley explained, making sure to state her experience first.
Recounting all of the piercings she'd ever gotten, she made sure to fully remember in full detailthe processes and pain that had occurred during and after the piercings. "Out of all six I currently have right now, I'd say that my earlobe piercings were the least painful," Aisley tilting her head to the side a bit while trying to remember the pain scale, "On a pain scale, I'd say it's probably a 3. Now the most painful one I've had was my industrial," Aisley tapped the bar that sat on her right ear, "That was like a solid seven or eight. Though it varies from person to person."
Ailsey smiled at Ciel, noticing how keeping a solid conversation helped ease her nerves. I mean, keeping people calm was one of her specialties, though sometimes, it didn't really apply to herself. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, Aisley commented once more, "I hope that helps you. If it doesn't fully help you, feel free to ask more. I'm always happy to help a person in distress."@Ciel Saskia
