Zach and his mom went to the Diagon Alley to buy his school supplies. First time going there, they are fascinated by the atmosphere of the place. It was very crowded. Many families went to the Diagon Alley to buy the school supplies for their children.

After buying all the school supplies, they plan to go straight home. However, on their way out, Zach saw a shop with a "Magical Menagerie" sign. He saw some children standing there with their parents. "Looks like they're selling some pets. Wanna take a look over there?" Zach's mother offered him to stop by the shop. Zach nodded.

An old man greeted them both. He was about 6 feet tall smiled at them warmly. He wore a pair of wire framed glasses. "Welcome. I'm Ernest Witticker. Are you looking for a companion for your trip to Hogwarts, kid?" said Mr Witicker.

"Yes, I am. Can we have a look first, Sir?" said Zach.

"Of course. Please enjoy your time here," replied Mr. Witticker.

"Thank you sir." Zach looked around in the shop. Lots of animals in here. He remembered the animals that came for control at the veterinary hospital owned by his mother. In a flash, his eyes saw something pink and purple. They are covered in long soft hairs which makes them look cute like a ball. He had never seen such a creature where he lived.

"Those are Pygmy Puffs. They look cute, don't they? Recently, they are very popular with the students. Do you want to touch them?" asked Mr. Witticker. Zach nodded enthusiastically. They were very soft. Zach could feel their hair is so smooth. The purple color in their hair looks very beautiful and natural. Zach really admired the cute creature. "Would you like to see something else, boy? There are some rats there you can pet."

Hearing the word rats, Zach immediately shuddered. He really doesn't like rats. Several times he screamed because he saw rats in his house. Zach shook his head "Sorry sir. I'm still not used to rats."

"Okay then. How about owls? Most of the students have them as pets. You can also train them to deliver letters. Would you like to see them?" asked Mr. Wittecker. Zach nodded. Mr. Wittecker took him to see some owls.

Zach looked very radiant when he was invited to see the owls. Zach saw different types of owls with different shapes, sizes, colors, and personalities. His eyes fell on one of the owls. "May I take a closer look, sir?"

"Of course! Let me help you." Mr. Wittecket took the cage with the owl Zach pointed at. "It is a Barred Owl. It is quite tame and curious even in the wild. It has just become an Owl. It is only 1 month old."

Zach looked at the owl in front of him. He felt a bond between the two of them. "I've found what I need sir," Zach said.

"You don't want to see the others?" asked Mr. Wittecker to make sure. Zach looked around for a second. I saw another owl, but he already liked the owl in front of him. He shook his head, answering Mr. Wittekcer's question. "All right. Let's get back."

"Did you find what you needed, Zach?" asked Zach's mother.

"Yes, I did, Mom. What do you think?"

"It doesn't matter as long as you take good care of him," said Zach's mother. Zach nodded with a smile.

"It's ready to be taken home," said Mr. Wittecker. "Have you thought of a name for him yet?"

"Zephyr. I will name him Zephyr," Zach said.

"All right. Zephyr, be well with Zach. And Zach, take good care of Zephyr," said Mr. Wittecker.

"Yes, Sir. I will take good care of Zephyr" Zach said to Mr. Wittecker. Mr. Wittecker smiled at Zach.

Then Zach's mother discussed the transaction process with Mr. Wittecker. After they finished, the three of them walked out of the shop. "Let's take Zephyr home," said Zach's mother.

"Thank you mom."
