Jakob Hall | First Year | Hufflepuff

Before Hogwarts, Jakob lived in Dublin Ireland, which is where his mother and stepfather had chosen to move after his sister Hannah and her father moved to northern France. Hannah attends Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and is in her fifth year. His stepfather Mark is an accountant who works at the Bank of Ireland. His mother Alyssa, a muggle-born witch, works in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures within the Ministry of Magic.

Jakob is talkative and can be pretty loud on occasion. He really likes making friends and keeping them close. He is very extroverted. He has no mental illnesses or disabilities.

Jakob's first instance of magic occurred in his home in Ireland when he was seven. His mother was cutting vegetables with a knife (she knew how to do it by magic but found it was more enjoyable to cook by hand) and had accidentally split open her index finger. Jakob became upset and worried about the physical well-being of his mother. She exited the kitchen and looked at her son, who came to hold her hand as she walked to her bedroom to retrieve her wand. As soon as he took her hand, the cut had healed.
