A Little Dip in the Lake
Saturday February 25th, 2023
A bright sunny Saturday morning most people would probably sleep in but today. Today Joseph was going down to the Great Lake. What he was going to do when he got there, he didn't know. Joseph was going wing it this Saturday (insert gasps here). When he got to the Great Lake, he started to take a morning walk around the Great Lake. The air was cool not so cold and not so warm. The sun was shining.
"What a great day to take a walk around the lake." thought Joseph as he enjoyed the view.
In the distance he saw a big tree that had left bad memories. It was a long story involving a Hufflepuff, Joseph being stupid and a trip to the hospital wing. Joseph quickly looked away afraid that looking at it might be a bad omen.
The ice on the lake had mostly melted off. Joseph could finally get a clear view of the lake's surface. It was a murky green surface. It looked like it was cleaned well.
"Maybe because rumor said that there was a giant squid living in there."
Joseph was 80% sure there was a giant squid because he might have seen one of its tentacles up that tree...
When he saw movement Joseph leaned over to get a closer look in the water when...

A Little Dip in the Lake
"Alduin, get back here!" Daphne shouted as she chased her kitten outside (well he was pretty much an adolescent now), the cat completely ignoring Daphne. Alduin had a mouse in his mouth, his tail flicking from side to side excitedly while approaching the Great Lake. Sure, it was natural for cats to eat mice but Alduin never actually ate it but rather hid it in her dorm for her to later find as if it was a game. Which it was, Daphne knew he found it funny. She was breathing heavily but continued to run, if she wanted to ever play sports then she couldn't be worn out so easily.
Alduin just happened to slow down which was when Daphne grinned, reaching down to grab him. Since she was looking down, she didn't notice that Alduin was slowing down because a boy was in front of him. "Got'cha!" Daphne exclaimed as she lunged forward, but when she thought she had Alduin, he made a sharp turn, zooming in between Daphne's legs.
"Oof!" Daphne shrieked as she collided with Joseph, her body landing on the ground hard while he'd be accidentally pushed into the lake. She felt the water splash on her side, partially wetting her hoodie. "Merlin's beard!-"
Note for mods: In case I get messaged that I godmodded Joseph, it was agreed that he'd fall in the lake
