André vs Asher

He made his way to the center of the dueling stage and said "Welcome to the 1v1 Dueling. We have two first years dueling against each other." Damion said with a smile on his face. "On one side we have Asher Blackjack representing the Gryffindor House and on the other side we have André Lebedev representing the Hufflepuff house." Damion added.
"Wands ready duelers!" He said. "Bow to each other before you start throwing spells at each other." Damion instructed. He was looking forward to this duel.
Damion missed being his house's dueling team. He was not sure if he was ever going to try that again. But that was something he could think about later. Right now he was more interested in seeing how this duel would go. He was excited to see the duels. He had met André in BaiKim Christmas Bash and was put against him in the spider game. He was hoping to see this duel to the end.
1. You have seven days (till 16th March) from now to owl me your actions and make a post consisting of a minimum of 200 words. If you do not make a post or owl me your action in the allotted time frame, your action is considered void.
2. Your stats, abilities, and spells have been locked in.

Asher would be lying if he said he wasn't feeling nervous, he had imagined how his first duel would go, and came up with a bunch of diffrent scenarios, yet now that he was actually stepping into the duelling stage he couldn't help the natural feeling of nervousness and self doubt that crept up on him.
He shook his head to banish those thoughts away from his mind so he could focus, he was ready and if anything he at least knows he won't go out without a fight. He was wearing his usual practice close which consisted of a red shirt and white zip up hoodie and black pants, it was one of his favorite outfits so he was hoping it would suffer minimal damage.
Asher sent a nod towards the club leader Damion, he was grateful to him seeing all the duels and making sure that everything goes well, he was the reason Asher now has the opportunity to improve himself. Asher then looked towards his opponent, André. He was a first like him so he probably knows the same spells as Asher.
Asher drew has wand the moment that Damion told them to ready them then bowed like instructed twrods André. Asher already had a good idea of what to do, hopefully he will be able to win this duel, but he doubts it will be easy, if he even wins in the first place. "Let's have a good match"

You could say André was a bit excited for this duel, and it would be an understatement. He was way more then excited. He would finally, finally be partaking in his first duel. One more step to be like his dad. It would be a one on one duel, not like the official ones with the house teams. He thought this would be a great start!
And his opponent? A first year just like him! Score!! He definitely didn't want to be up against a year three or something. That would be a mess, and he would definitely lose. But with a fellow first year! There was definitely an even match for the both of them. He way getting more excited..
'Ok. Deep breath.' He thought to himself as he walked on to the stage. He hoped that he would be up here again, sooner rather then later. He did as Damion, who would be overseeing this duel, instructed. His aspen wood wand with a phoenix feather core seemed perfect in his hands.
"Yes a good match" he smiled at the Gryffindor in front of him. Ready to see who would win. He would be happy no matter who won, as he go to duel! For the first time!! That was a win any day.

Damion was watching as both the younger boys started dueling. He watched as both the boys cast their spells on each other. He looked at both of them. "Good job Asher and André!" Damion said. He was watching the duel unfold in front of him. He was happy that he was a part of this duel like not fighting it but well being a moderator for this duel.Asher vs André:

Asher Blackjack had cast the Flipendo spell on André Lebedev. He was not attached to either of the two boys who were dueling here. Unlike the duels that he had witnessed or been a part of earlier. Yes he was talking about Kim's and Ava's. He looked around and smiled.
André Lebedev had cast the Tarantallegra on Asher Blackjack. He watched as the spell hit Asher. He showed Asher what dance he would have to do.
"Asher since André hit you with the dancing feet spell. You will be doing the Russian Folk dance. I want you to see what I am doing and then follow it." Damion said looking at Asher. He demonstrated the dance to Asher and hoped that he would follow what Damion was doing. Damion was not embarrassed about it to be honest.

with a swift Tarantallegra, things were going good! His first spell of his first duel had hit!! The issue was that Asher had also cast his spell- and it also hit.. Damion had praised the booth of the younger hogwarts students in their success.
The hufflepuff knew the dance that Damion instructed Asher to do, whether he chose that one randomly or because of André's Russian side. He was unsure it was amusing nonetheless. It reminded the boy of his father who was the one to show him the dance in the first place!
His father did it to be silly most of the time, and it always worked to make the family laugh. André remembered being taught how to do it. Him and his sister. No they weren't the best at it. Not as good as his dad, he could still do it!
"Nice moves!" He commented on the dance. Smug smile on his face with his success. Despite being further away then were he was standing, and sore from the Knock back jinx he felt as if he could do this! He just had to focus and keep his cool... That would be the key. Next move in mind he took stance.

Asher prepared himself as he cas his spell, Flipindo was a great offensive spell so he thought it would be better to start his duel with it, and the spell hit! The only problem was that André's spell also hit, he had cast a Tarantallegra, which caused Asher to start going through the movements of the Russian Folk Dance. Damion had showed him the dance so that Asher would know what moves to go through.
Dancing uncontrollably was definitely not a pleasant experience, but adding to that André smug smile, Asher felt pretty motivated to get some payback. When the effect of the spell ran out Asher finally stopped dancing, his body felt slightly sore from the repeated movements of the dance and he was a little bit disoriented as well, but he wasn't going to let that stop him.
"Don't smile yet, this duel is just beginning" Despite the set back Asher jsut suffered he also knew that his spell did a number on André as well, with that in mind he raised his wand and calmed himself, he needed to be focused if he wanted to win, he took his stance and prepared to cast his next spell.

Damion looked as one of the boy (Asher) seemed to be frozen in his place. He didn't see the boy cast a spell on his opponent. Not that Damion was favoring anyone in this duel but it would have been nice to see what spell would André have to dodge or get hit by. Damion smiled as he saw that André's spell had been the same one he had cast earlier. Maybe André felt that this spell was easier to do. Who knew what went inside André's mind?Asher vs André:

Asher Blackjack seemed to be zoned out or frozen in his own place. He was really hoping that Asher wouldn't make it easier for André to attack him.

"Better luck next time Asher!" Damion said sympathetically to the younger Gryffindor boy. He looked at both of them once more and then waited for what would happen next. He wanted to see how this duel ended. It would probably run shorter than other duels he had witnessed.

André's ego was absolutely through the roof! He landed his spell and Asher was 'frozen' in fright! As in he didn't cast nothing. No dodge attempt, no cast attempt. Just dancing from André's successful casts! That Flipendo did hurt, he wouldn't lie. It was alk worth it!!
Despite the boys warning the hufflepuff's smile basically went ear to ear. Two casts in a row! If things keep going like this he would become the best Duellist in no time! Also probably get in the official team for hufflepuff, "You scared? Remember the duel isn't over yet" Was it encouraging? Not really. But was it mean? Probably?? Using his own words against him.
He felt as if he had a good chance at victory. If the Gryffindor in front of him was scared. Weren't they brave? he thought to himself. He mentally shrugged everyone had to have fears. His was probably Hufflepuff first years who have amazing spell casting skills. He could see himself now, on a Duelling stage were the opponent was to scared to even step up. As he was that good. That was the ideal situation!! He could do it.
Shaking his head out of the day dream he looked st the opponent in front of him. Focus on the on the present, and worry about the future later.

OOC Note:Asher wasn't sure what happened, he knew what he wanted to do, he was going to go through with and yet...his body was too slow. He failed to react in time to dodge the spell André sent at him and couldn't get out the spell he had planned on casting, this duel was only starting and yet Asher felt like he was already losing.
'No' he told himself, he won't go down that line of thought, he can still win this duel, however Asher was once again forced to go throught the movements of yet another dance, he was getting annoyed because he was hit with Tarantallegra. Again.
Asher hated how smug André looked, the Hufflepuff was clearly taunting Asher and while Asher wanted to be the bigger boy here, André was doing a damn good job of getting on Asher's nerves. Asher grit his teeth before smiling at André, he is going to do his best to try and throw him off his game, "Oh no, I am just getting started" his eyes glinted with determination as he promised himself to never freeze like that again, even if it wasn't in a duel, something like that could have cost him his life in a real battle.

He demonstrated the dance to Asher and hoped that he would follow what Damion was doing. All Damion could do was stand in the corner and watch the duel proceed on. He was not going to be biased and was going to let the duel decide who wins.
Damion was enjoying seeing this duel. Though it might not have been something that he had expected but it was still something that he was enjoying seeing. He didn't want to say or think who would win. He wanted to let either of theme win. Damion couldn't say who would win at this point in the duel. It was still very early.
