Wake up, Brekfast!
@Cassie Jiang
Yesterday, after class Sunny had received an owl with a note asking to be a date to balls. Sunny had been so excited to receive the letter, that he caused a minor traffic jam in the hallway and had to be scooted along by a prefect. He was elated until he realized that he needed to respond, and then the trouble started.
It took him many hours of many drafts but he was so painfully shy that he never knew what to write. He didn't have problems talking with people or friends in the hallway, but when it came to girls that he liked, he thought that they were pretty and just had no idea what else to do or say. A friend had warned him that if he didn't send a reply soon, Cassie would think that he had blown her off. That same friend had picked up off the floor a draft that and said simply one word, yes, and encouraged him to send that one back.
That was yesterday. Sunny thought that he would sleep fitfully that night but he was so emotionally exhausted that he went to sleep quickly and woke up after a good night's sleep, ravenous as always, and made his way down to the great hall for some breakfast. It wasn't until he saw Cassie and the Great Hall from afar before he remembered everything that had happened yesterday, and his cheeks blushed.
Sunny had discovered a sugary cereal a few weeks ago and had piled his bowl full of it and was munching away when this discovery had happened - remembering what had happened yesterday . Now, he didn't know whether he should continue eating, or run in the bathroom until his cheeks didn't burn anymore. In effect, what actually happened, was that he took quick, ravenous fights like a squirrel trying to stuff its cheeks full of food and then gulp it down as quickly as possible. Whenever he put his phone down to get another bite, he would quickly glance at Cassie to see what she was doing, and then his cheeks would turn a little pink again.
If he was a little brighter, he probably would have had the thought that she looked pretty this morning, and that all girls look pretty in general, but he just did not have any brain cells left in his Noggin between waking up, eating, and his shyness.
