Anthea Rose Sinclaire is the only child born to a muggle-born witch and Pureblood wizard. Growing up with magic she was naturally fascinated with it, and wanted to use it to help people. Her childhood was filled with loving memories from both her parents growing up in the quite isolated rural town of High Bickington. It was a simple and modest living, with her family owning a small cottage with lots of land. She would spend most of her time running up and down the hills with the small amount of other children that lived in the village, and was quick to make friends. Anthea's father had a full time job at the ministry, whilst her mother was a part-time healer at St. Mungo's Hospital. Both jobs required the couple to travel, but of course that was never a problem for the wizarding folk. However, from a young age Anthea could not quite stomach any means of transport, including muggle or magical, and thus never really ventured much out of her small home land. Her father told her he was involved in the Ministry of Magic Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes and whenever she asked he just told her he was a detective of some sort, which she thought was pretty cool and would often be lulled asleep of the tales he told of the work he did when he would come home in the evenings. That was the only time Anthea really saw her father. Anthea spent most of her days with her mother who taught her all about different potions, spells, plants, and everything else specifically to do with healing (though Anthea could only remember bits and pieces, and when she tried to put them together they didn't quite make sense), and the days she had work Anthea was taken to her fathers grandparents who lived almost fourteen kilometers away (Barnstaple, the main town of North Devon, though Anthea was never pleased to travel there). The girl was mostly home schooled, which she enjoyed as the alternative was travelling into the town twice a day, and she did not lack the socialisation as she had two friends that lived in High Bickington that she saw almost every day. Her life was peaceful and the way she liked it. However, when she was 9 years old, her father disappeared and was never found, and since then she has been raised by her grandparents after her mother went looking for him. Anthea receives letters from her mother occasionally but only sees her a few times a year.
