Thorn sat on her bed in the hospital staring solemnly out the window, it was her birthday today and so far none of her family had come to visit, not like they had visited her since she was admitted to the hospital. She gotten a howler from her eldest brother Basilisk Cullen saying that they were very disappointed in her and that she had disgraced the family name. She had at least hoped they would have visited her. She sighed a tear escaping her and she quickly wiped it away. She had lost everything her closest friend Lucian Mornstern, her family and even Hogwarts. She deserved it though after all she had supplied the murder weapon that was almost used to kill her friends. She let out a scream of pain and anger pulling at her hair. Hands grabbed her arms and pulled them away from her hair, she slowly looked up at the person who had touched her it was her older brother Basilisk "Darling, what's wrong?" He said pulling her close. "I-I-I thought you d-didn't love me anymore because you haven't visited me and because of the owl you sent me" she said now full on hyperventilating into Basilisks chest. "Doll, take some deep breaths" he whispered against her head pulling her in closer so she could hear his heartbeat. That soft of thumps of the heartbeat always seemed to soothe her even as a baby when she would cry her mother would rest her on her chest so she could hear her heartbeat and she would stop crying almost immediately. A loud sniffle could be heard throughout the room. "Alf, come here you're fine, she's going to be ok" Basilisk said pulling his younger brother into the hug as well. After Thorn had calmed down a bit she finally found her voice. "I thought Alfie was supposed to be at Hogwarts" she said wiping away the rest of her tears. "He wasn't doing well after you left Hogwarts, so I took him out for a couple days. I am actually considering homeschooling him, I don't really think Hogwarts is a good fit for him" Basilisk replied patting Alfie's head. "Now look what I got you for a present" He smiled pulling a bag out from around his back and holding it out for her to see. Thorn peeked into the bag and gasped "You got me some hair dye and it's blue!" she squealed jumping up and down. "Can I dye my hair?" Alfie asked tugging in on his brother's sleeve. "No Alf, we gotta keep that beautiful blonde" Basilisk said as he ruffled Alfie's hair. No fair Alfie pouted. Basilisk sighed and took his brother's hand leading him over to the sink before beckoning for Thorn to follow. After Basilisk helped Alfie on to the sink counter and got him situated so he could watch. Basilisk pulled up a chair for Thorn to sit on while he dyed her hair. I took a few hours for him to dye her hair but while he they would sing songs and told stories. At last it was time to say goodbye, she gave each of her brothers a tight squeeze before they left. They waved goodbye and then they were gone.

If you can't play the good guy, sometimes you've got to play the villain.
