Monica sat in the back of the trolley, the conversation between Aurelia and Victoria remained as nothing more than background noises. All she had learned, lived through, during these short few weeks was enough to change her whole world. She looked out the window as they drove to the train station, she neither looked forward to, nor dreading going back to Hogwarts. At the moment it was a place, a place void of family drama, and yet a place where she still couldn't find refuge from it.

The station came into view, Monica unbuckled herself and got out of the car when it came to a full stop. Victoria came around the back, grabbing trunks out of the boot. Monica couldn't bring herself to look her sister in the eye. Since the moment they connected over the break, Monica kept her distance from Victoria. Not because she did anything wrong, but she felt like a different person. Like over the time apart, she was replaced by someone else that just looked like her. Though most of Monica's time home was spend at Victoria's apartment, the two coincided as strangers over the holidays... dancing around the elephant plaguing their lives. At least that is what Monica did.

Victoria handed Monica her trunk, leaning down to give her a big hug... Monica didn't move. She looked over to Aurelia, the girl that turned her life upside down, but also was now family...though the time Monica knew Aurelia was short, she could already feel that strained distance bellowing in her gut dissipate, like she had finally discovered the missing puzzle piece.

Victoria pulled out of the hug, a single tear stained her face, "I love you! Okay!" She kissed Monica on the forehead, gazing into her sister's eyes hoping for a response, anything to show that they were still sisters. But Monica couldn't give that to her, at least not right now. She grabbed her Trunk and turned to the station, barely a goodbye to be had.

She didn't wait for Aurelia, she figured the two girls would say their own good byes, Monica just wanted to board the train, leaving this all behind her. Though she did overhear one last thing escape Victoria's lips,
"Please take care of my sister." The words directed at the Gryffindor.

Her head turned as the words echoed in her ear. Victoria's eyes glanced over at her, as Monica looked back, she could feel her eyes grow heavy as water pooled in them. She blinked and turned her attention to the crowed, as waves of people entered and exited the station. Monica didn't hear what Aurelia said in response to Victoria, nor did she really care. And as soon as she could feel Aurelia walking with her, Monica walked right into the London station, not even looking back to her sister.

Crossing through the wall, Monica remained silent, not saying a word the entire time as the pair bored. The train jerked, and was off in no time. Had Monica just sat stoic the whole time? Or were they just cutting it that close that the train practically took off as soon as they found a place to sit. Monica didn't really know. At the moment nothing felt real.

She took the time thinking back over the holidays. About meeting Astrid, learning about her Family lineage. She got answers about the owl crest that was sealed with the letter Victoria sent. Though there were answers, few, but still answers to some of the Slytherin's questions... she still felt like there was more to learn. Sure Astrid could teach her all about the Notresvace family tree, but from what was known about Monica's Mother... even Astrid was left in the dark. Something had happened that separated Monica's mother from the family, and perhaps was the whole reason Monica was put up for adoption in the first place. It was all so much to take in, and yet it felt like only scratching the surface to who Monica truly was.

The Trolly cart with all the sweets came by, and Monica barely lifted an eye to it. She didn't care about sweets right now, she was too lost in her own thoughts. The consuming question since that first letter....Who was she? How did she fit into this world? She didn't even know how to go about finding any of this out, but the one person who would know.... the only person to have answers about any of this was Monica's Biological Mother...but how to meet her?

As the Hogwarts castle neared, one thing was clear... if Monica wanted to learn anything, she would have to talk to her parents about her adoption. But she hadn't spoken to them since telling them that she wouldn't be home for Christmas. Did they hate her? Want nothing more to do with her? Monica didn't have a clue, but she needed to know about her Biological mother... and her parents were the only people who knew anything.

As the train came to a stop, Monica stood up, clenching her trunk in her fist, "I will learn about my mother." She said, out to the void, but fully aware Aurelia could hear her. The Slytherin stepped off the train, her mind contemplating how she was going to ask her parents about her adoption.
