Closed Abby's First Time on Platform 9 3/4 OPEN

After Abby had finished buying all of the strange new things for a strange new school, in a strange new world she'd never heard of before, she might already be on the verge of a mental breakdown. Having no clue where the train station was either might just be enough to make it overflow. She spent at least half an hour asking people where platform 9 3/4 was without any answers before she finally found another wizarding family walking into a wall. She started to think this whole entire thing was just some very very elaborate and long dream. Before she was able to ask the family what they were doing and how to get over they had already disappeared into the wall. She hugged her parents and said, "Wish me luck" and her mom looked just how Abby felt: absolutely horrified. She heard her mom whispering over and over "This must be a dream; this must be a dream." She hugged her mom and said it'll be ok. Her dad then walked over to hug her and said his goodbyes. Though her brothers, Roman and Nick, weren't there out of jealousy or disbelief.
Abby faced forward, held her breath, and walked through the wall. She couldn't believe it, she had walked through a wall, and was now in a place where she saw other kids her age with a cart of things and waiting with their families and siblings. She was too scared to say hi to anyone or ask for help so she stepped back and watched to see what anyone else might be doing first, hoping someone might go up to her instead.

The Beginning
September 1st, 2022
A sense of uncertainty hung in the air as Finley pushed her cart across the station. Her mother and father were on either side of her, talking between themselves but Finley didn't care enough to listen in on the conversation. It had been only two and a half months since the letter had arrived at her house. A letter with a wax seal and golden letters on the front with her name. It wasn't often that she got mail, most of it coming from her grandparents or other family sending birthday or Christmas wishes. And she had certainly never received a letter that looked like that. And now, months later her she was about to board a train to a school she didn't even want to go to. But alas, she trudged on to wherever her father was leading her.

They stopped reaching a place between platform nine and ten. "Say goodbye to your mother here. The platform won't let her join us." Her father said as they stopped. Finley stopped, a frown crossing her face. "I love you Mom." She said wrapping her arms tightly around her mother's back as a tear fell from her eye. "I love you too, Finley." Lyria pulled back as her daughter did, instantly noticing the distress on her daughter's face. "Oh honey, I know. This is scary for all of us. But, we can write to each other every day. And I'll see you in three months."

Finley nodded and wiped the remaining tears away. "Alright, it's time to make it on to the platform. We can't be late." Her father said, guiding her towards the wall. "When you're ready just walk into it." Finley nodded and took a deep breath before jogging towards the wall, bracing for an impact that never came. When she opened her eyes again, there was a big red train on the platform in front of her. As well as numerous other families and their children, a lot of them looked to be about her age.

She noticed a girl standing by herself and walked up to her. "Hi, I'm Finley. It's my first year going to Hogwarts. What about you?"
