It was less then a week after I dueled Damion White in my first one on one duel, and boy, what a fun duel it was. Then again, I considered every duel I participated in fun. And it didn’t matter if I’d win or loose, or even if I felt like I had no chance of winning the duel before it had even begun. Alright, I admit, sometimes I would get angry in the middle of a duel, but that only happened if my opponent torched me too much. Well, that was all besides the point, because here I was, in for another one on one duel against a fourth year that I had no chance of beating. Man, why was I always bitting off more then I could chew? Probably because I really liked to duel. But then again, I couldn’t always rely on my Flipendo’s and Rictusempra’s. I mean, I’d grow up and along the way, I’d learn more powerful spells, spells that would make the spells I knew now look like child’s play.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Damion, who was the supervisor of this round began talking from the podium. “I would like to welcome Hades Schweighöfer and David Howard to this one versus one duel. Both of them are from the same house. Hades here is fourth year student however David is a second year student. Get ready, set, duel. May the best man win the match.” I drew my wand and bowed down to Hades before standing up and pointing my wand at him. I just hoped I was lucky enough to beat him.

A duel. One that wasn’t official. But that had made the badger horny and completely on the duty to duel with a fellow housemate, whose name was David Howard. To tell you the truth, it didn’t make him feel very good because there was something bothering him, which was the fact that Hades was two years ahead of him, which meant he had more knowledge about spells, taking advantage of him. Maybe he shouldn’t make a big deal out of it, because he’d heard about how some first year ones had been able to beat some fourth-year guys. See? Nothing to worry about.

He walked slowly and looked at Damion for a few seconds, in which he gave him a smile, sending him encouragement “Good luck while refereeing.” he said, always supporting his friend. Then he focused on his rival. Spitting the words out of his friend’s mouth, Hades pulled out his wand and lifted it up, then bowed “Good luck to you too.” said in a warm tone, and prepared himself. He was a little nervous, but he ended up reminding himself that he needed to be calm, not to worry and above all have fun. As long as he didn’t forget to concentrate on his first spell.

David vs Hades

Damion was doing his best to judge the duel between the two Hufflepuff boys. He was trying to let his feeling- which he argued that he didn't have any as he was crushing big time on Kim- for Hades cloud his judgement. He looked at Hades and smiled as he heard him say 'good luck while refereeing'. Damion turned to Hades and said "Thank you" He then turned his attention back to what these two were doing. They bowed. Very good.

He hoped this was going to be civil match and he hoped that since Hades was older than David, maybe only maybe he might win. He was a little taken back by when David's spell hit Hades. The younger Hufflepuff boy had it in him. Damion sighed when Hades spell didn't hit David. He was not going to let his own feelings cloud his judgement.

Damion was rooting for both of them to win but he very well knew that was not possible. There could be only one winner in a one versus one duel. He was not sure if only one of them had to win who he would support. Damion didn't want the feeling of having known someone, Hades, affect his judgment and make him root or favor Hades. Well... it was not like that was going to happen.
