Reconnecting

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to extend my sincerest apologies, once again, for not being in touch with you as of late. I am aware that it has been quite some time since we last communicated, and for that, I am deeply regretful.

As you know, life can be unpredictable and sometimes we find ourselves caught up in our own personal struggles and responsibilities. I want to assure you that I have managed to fall into a reasonably sustainable routine, and will not be remiss in keeping in touch from here on out.

I am writing to you today to reconnect and inquire about your wellbeing. I am rather concerned at having discovered that you have not only given up on the Prefect position in Gryffindor, but also on the Quidditch captaincy and the sport as a whole. While I am not the biggest fan of the sport, I understood that it was close to your heart. I can only hope that you are coping well, and sincerely offer my help in any matters where I could be of assistance.

I would also like to extend an invitation for us to meet - whether it be for a cup of tea or a little picnic - I would be delighted to spend some more time with you, should you find the time for it.

Once again, please accept my apologies for my lack of communication and know that I hold you in high esteem. I look forward to hearing from you soon and catching up on all that has transpired since we talked last.
