I need help...
After a long night of sleep, Jalen finally woke up at exactly 10:22 AM. He got out of his bed and got dressed. He went down to the Great Hall for breakfast. When he was done with breakfast, he returned to his dorm. One of the first things he spotted was all the homework he had for Herbology just lying on his bed. He stared at it, then sighed. He'd have to complete it today. Herbology was his least favorite subject, next to History of Magic. Jalen grabbed his Herbology homework, his quill, and some ink, and put it in his bag.
He thought of a place to go to complete his assignments. It was easy to decided: the library. It was dark and quiet. He liked it in there. He grabbed his bag of homework material and went to the library. He sat down at a table and pulled everything out. He read his homework and read the first question. He was already stuck. He read the question a lot of times and still couldn't find out the answer. He had no clue. He shook his head, confused. He looked around. The closest person to him was a girl with dark hair and kind of looked like his mother.
"Excuse me," Jalen said quietly. "Could you please help me?"WC: 218

Ebony had surprisingly finished her homework yesterday, now aimlessly wandering the castle wondering where to hang out. She didn't feel like talking to anyone, even if it meant talking to her friends, and she didn't feel like staying out in the cold however much she liked it, so she headed to the library. She seemed to be spending quite some time there lately. She strode into the majestic structure and breathed in the familiar scent of books that somehow comforted her, but not as much as that of nature and fresh air. It's not that she liked doing homework, or using books to do homework, but she liked reading. She didn't love it, not that strong of a hobby, but it was okay. That was the word. Okay. Oftentimes, she only came to the library for quiet and tranquility, or to draw.
Today, she did bring her sketchbook and her usual pencil that she was again twirling, but she didn't really plan on drawing anything. She was stuck. Uninspired. So all she did was walk circles around the library, running her fingers along the endless spines of books, admiring how tidy they were. She could never achieve this neatness, even with magic. Definitely not in her dorm or in her room back at home, where the little amount of books she had possessed were either thrown messily into the bookshelf or scattered onto the floor where her drawing equipment lay.
She stopped dead when a quiet voice behind her asked for help. She turned around slowly, looking at the owner of the voice with narrow eyes. It was a boy with dark hair, presumably a first year. "Um, sure, I can help you," she replied, frowning and wondering what it was about. She plopped into the chair across the boy and stared at the homework in front of him, which seemed to be of Herbology.
