HISTORY. Boring to others, intriguing to Irene. The young Ravenclaw was infatuated with history and craved knowledge of stories and tellings of long ago, wars and rebellions, trials and protests, the rise and falls of empires, she wanted to know it all.
She knew this was impossible. But still, she could try.
Twisting around a corner, textbook tucked under her arm, she flew past the hundreds of students flocking the corridors, her curled locks swept behind her ears in an effort to keep them out of her face. Perhaps she should have tied them back. Irene glanced down at the hairband on her wrist, but decided against it. She never did like her appearance with her hair tied back.
Looking back down at the small map she held tightly in her palm, Irene groaned irritably as she realized she had taken a wrong turn. Or at least, she had now taken a wrong turn. The stairs she had just arrived had disappeared, as stairs in Hogwarts do. The Ravenclaw found this design quite irksome; why on earth would you have stairs constantly twist and turn every other minute? Well perhaps, Irene thought as she came to an abrupt stop outside a large wooden door, it was the school itself changing. Perhaps no one could control it.
Brushing this thought aside, the young Ravenclaw entered the classroom. She was early. No surprise there, as she had been early to all her other classes. Unlike her other classes however, there were a few students already at their desks, waiting patiently while the professor prepared for class. One of the students, a dark-haired Hufflepuff girl, was sketching in a journal, occasionally looking to one of the many windows north of the door. Another student, a Ravenclaw boy with curly brown hair, sat patiently in his seat, hands folded neatly across the desk.
Perhaps she should start a conversation before the bell rang? A small frown appeared on her delicate features as she strode over to a desk in the front row. She glanced at the Ravenclaw boy, who seemed to be gazing off into space, and moved over to the desk next to him, setting down her things. How to start? She cleared her throat quietly before turning to the boy next to her, outstretching her hand in a sudden motion.
"I'm Irene. Irene Hatchet. What is your name?" She inquired, her turquoise eyes searching his blue ones for any sign of hostility. She didn't expect him to be rude; his eyes seemed kind. Still, she kept her guard up anyway. Allowing someone to get close enough to stab her in the back was something Irene would never let herself do.

ReducioLocation :Word Count :Oliver, was always, and I mean always, early to his classes, most of the time, he was one of the first people there, just like any ordinary day, he had went straight for the History of Magic classroom, which he had memorized. How? When he had nothing to do, he stared endlessly into the map, trying to memorize all of its confusing halls and rooms. That payed off since he was first, shortly after, a Hufflepuff came in and started sketching by the window, he was, tempted, to go over and start a conversation. He loved art, and all things art. But, he thought not to. After a while of waiting, someone cleared their voice beside him, he was surprised. He didn't let that show however. He turned his head slightly to look at the girl, she had turquoise colored eyes, golden looking hair and her voice, something about it felt calming, he didn't know what it was and it he brushed it off. She was probably someone like him, an eager student who just wanted to learn. "Irene Hatchet is a nice name. Im Oliver, Oliver Brown, you can call me Oli." He said in a calm voice. He reached out a hand for her to shake.

THE BOY turned towards her, the smallest hint of surprise still shining in his blue eyes. He introduced himself as Oliver in a calm, steady voice, grasping hold of her outstretched hand and shaking it. He had a gentle yet strong grip. A small friendly smile appeared on her face before she released his hand, letting it drop to her side.
Opening her textbook, she picked up her quill and continued with her annotations of the first chapter, her elegant handwriting in clean, straight lines stretching across the margins. She itched to take out her letter that was currently in her leather satchel, but she decided against it and continued writing. The letter to her mother could wait till later. She glanced at Oliver, deep in thought before speaking.
"Are you always this early Oliver?" Irene inquired as she turned to face forward in her seat, still watching the boy with a curious gaze as she took out a quill from her satchel. Even if it was only her first week here, she had observed not many students were early to their classes, instead arriving right on time or quite late. Those who were early only entered the room seconds before the bell rang. Oliver was one of the first students (that Irene had met) that was ahead of schedule.

Apologies for messing up the eye color again! I'm quite forgetful.

"Yeah- kind of a habit- don't tell anyone but I'm a nerd." He said jokingly. But it was true, he was doing very nerdy stuff, going to classes early, finishing his homework during lunch time to save time for more studying, always participating in class, etcetera. “What do you like to do when you are free? I, even though it sounds like I’m always studying, can be free sometimes! I usually play my violin, paint, and if the lake freezes over during the winter, I most probably would ice skate. If I’m not doing those things, I’m reading. I should do more exiting stuff shouldn’t I?” He told Irene. A couple of students have entered the room now and it was starting to fill up with noise. He covered his ears, he didn’t like loud sounds of chattering students. He preferred the peace and quiet. “I don’t understand how people make it 7 years in Hogwarts bearing with this sound.” He told the Ravenclaw. He checked his watch, there was still 5 minutes, he had brought his sketch book, and pencils. “Hey- can you give me something to draw within 5 minutes? Personal challenge I guess-.” He asked her.
