The Wand For Me
Asher had just finished getting his books from Flourish and Blotts, he was currently in Diagon Alley the first and most magical place he had ever seen. He smiled still amazed by the magical atmosphere in this place, he checked his supplies list for the last thing he needed, his wand.
He was extremely excited. A wand is what will allow him to preform miraculous feats through the use of Magic, he couldn't contain his excitement as he made his way to Ollivander's, he wondered if he should go look for his Mum but decided that he would probably get lost trying to look for her, besides she said she has some important errands to run.
He finally got to his destination, Ollivander's shop, he could see from outside the glass at the front the dozens of boxes who he assumed all contained wands. He stepped into the shop, feeling a little awkward with his trunk, since he had no one to leave it with.
His eyes sparkled with excitement, he looked around the shop and ideally noted how the boxes are organized. 'So this is where my Mum got her wand...and now it's my turn'. "Ah, Mr Blackjack just in time", Asher turned around at the voice that appeared suddenly behind him, 'I didn't even notice him. I hope not all wizards are like this', Asher's mum had gave him an idea for what to expect when he came to Diagon Alley, so he wasn't too surprised that Mr Ollivander already knew his name."I assume you're here to get your wand Mr Blackjack, yes?" "Yes sir, I would like to get my wand please". Mr Ollivander smiled at Asher and moved behind the counter to pick up a box. "Here, 29 cm Blackthorn wood and Dragonheart string" Asher picked up the wand to try it when Mr Ollivander snatched it immediately from his fingers "No, not this one" and it sure wasn't the next one either.
Mr Ollivander had snatched so many wands from Asher that he started to get worried, and the fact that Mr Ollivander seemed to be enjoying himself didn’t help his increasing worry, he felt like he would never find his wand. "Quite a tricky customer aren't you? Well no matter I shall find you your perfect wand". "Hmm let's see here, 32,6 cm walnut wood and phoenix feather" Asher was relived when Mr Ollivander didn't immediately snatch the wand from his hand, he gave it a swing and immediately felt something click inside him, he smiled, he knew this was his wand. "Ah, you were quite a tricky customer Mr Blackjack, but alas all good things must come to an end". He smiled at Asher, "This will be seven Galleons Mr Blackjack" Asher scooped up the seven Galleons and gave him to Mr Ollivander, he left the shop feeling happy and relieved, he finally got his wand. He saw his Mum waiting across the shop and went to tell her about his day as they bid Diagon Alley good bye.
