The Train & The Snow
At last, winter break has ended. She thought about her time at Sussex. Like how she enjoyed every moment at home with her father with the occasional visit to her mother’s. Phoenix enjoyed the conversations that her parents had with her and the activities they did such as wrapping Christmas gifts or eating New Year’s Eve dinner. Also, the simpler stuff like walking on the beach on a cold winter day. This time around, her mother and her father wanted to send her off to Hogwarts. At Platform 9 3/4, she stood with her brown luggage in hand that was decorated with stickers of cute animals and paintings that she enjoyed. Her parents stood behind her, and had the tiniest amount of water in their eyes. Even though it was something that happened every year, her parents still could not get used to Phoenix boarding the Hogwarts Express.
Now, Phoenix quickly walked through the small corridor of the train, looking for an empty cabin to settle in for the long train ride. Other students walked along the corridor, some in excitement looking for their friends while others in a sort of panic. As students walked past her, she squeezed to the other side as she wanted to give some spaces. At last, she found an empty cabin. Phoenix smiled at the fact that she was able to get a window seat. She sat down, almost squeezing herself against the window. She watched the students on the train station, trying to be fast as they could so they could board the train on time. After a bit, the train ringed which signaled it was time to depart the station. Phoenix slowly started to zone out while seeing the scenery change from the station to the vast landscape that was slowly being sprinkled with snow.
With peace and love.
