Meira had arrived at Platform 9 3/4 with her parents, her younger brother, Dave along with their childhood friends; Hannah, Jimmy and Asahi.
For the first time in a very long while, Meira was nervous, After all this is the first time she can recall in memory to be miles apart from everyone she's ever known in the small tight knit Israeli community. In the midst of her nervousness, her father who was beginning to gain recognition from other society circles within the platform had her come forth near him & embraced her in a tight hug whilst muttering an ancient Aramaic prayer of promised covenants so long as she also fulfills her part. Her mother, Levana would later on join & tell her a poem;
" Fret not, my dear child
Raised by compassion
By understanding each other
Under Sheehma's protection
Don't worry now,
Our ancestors journeyed too
Off to distant lands
Far beyond the seas
Amongst the living
Hatchlings are nurtured
Surpassing their elders
From beneath their graves
Some lost their way
Others found their place
Some are misguided
Whilst others have been corrected
Never lose sight of an Israeli's duty
To the covenant first then their
community
Aid strangers direly in need of
help along the way
Yet remember the Shabbat, our
sworn restful day
Thou will reunite with old friends
After a substantial amount of time
You now need to be independent
For your future ahead days
Embark on a tale
Yet to be heard by us
Thou musn't forget
You're never alone."
Her mother's words seemed to resonate with her whilst her brother, Dave was gripping her right hand rather tightly. It then dawned upon her that he must be scared of losing her permanently too. Not wanting him to dwell on unpleasant memories she non verbally signaled to her parents to give him and her friends some space to change the mood;
"I'm trusting you, young man to keep our troublemaker friend, Jimmy in line whilst I'm gone this year." Hannah's twin was mocked offended by her words and rebutted;
"I? Heir to the Rizal Family, a troublemaker? As if I'd dare, you mock me our young future healer."
"Show some respect, Jim. Remember she's our senior." came Asahi's rebuttal.
"Coming from our youngest member, I'll let you slide this time." Jimmy then temporarily dyed Asahi's hair into dark blue. The Asian however sighed knowing the dye would fade away after several months.
"Sure, Meira," came her younger brother's response and then noticed Asahi's hair, mocked annoyed at the pureblood's actions; "Agh...Jim, you really can't be trusted alone, Hannah, you sure you can deal with him alone at Russia?"
"Absolutely, Dave" was Hannah's swift ice cold response instantly sending shivers to her twin's spine.
"You do remember our family's ancient magical secret? Dear Jimmy" the female twin spoke.
"Do you know per chance, what's their magical family secret?" Dave and Asahi astonished at how the young heiress kept her twin in line asked Meira, their leader.
Meira then spoke in Aramaic which thankfully the duo understood already;
"Yes, yes I do...the key to such knowledge is legendary troublesome that could rival Dumbledore & Grindelwald though. I cannot reveal more information though due to patient-doctor confidentiality stuff."
"I'm relieved to hear you say that, Meira, my daughter. Your train's about to depart in ten minutes. There's a free compartment near the end of the train, I'd hurry there now." were the words of Meira's father who startled her, Dave and her friends. Doing as he said and having her trunk in the compartment her father spoke to her about and her being inside the compartnent now, her departure seemed imminent now.
"I'll write and see you all on the holidays." She told them all.
"Don't fast unless it's Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) now!" were her mother's words.
"We'll see you on your Bat Mitzvah celebration, our honorary princess" were Jimmy and Hannah's reply as he gave her a blue colored rose while his twin handed out a protective pendant to her.
"Keep this pendant as a necklace, Meira. I have a foreboding feeling you'll be needing this protective pendant for the next 7 years whilst at Hogwarts."
"Ok, Hannah. Most of your predictions did came true after all. So, I'll keep your words in mind, Thank you."
"H-here...Meira senpai (senior in Japanese)" Asahi handed her a wood carving of a mundane wolf figurine, which he made for her.
"Thank you, Asahi. I'll take care of the wolf figurine you've given me." After the last gift was handed out to her. As if synchronized by time, The train's whistle then went off signaling she's about to leave she then waved her hands to say farewell to her parents, Dave and her childhood friends,
The train then began to stir her and the other Hogwarts students to their destination and for her what will seem as the start of a peculiar journey.
