Pandora was having breakfast in the common room. Finally, the holidays were over and it was time for school. The holiday had tired him enough.

While she was thinking this, she saw that a note had been left on her desk. Curiously, she opened the note. It was from Gabriel. He had asked to meet at the Great Lake at 5 o'clock and to bring extra clothes.

Pandora didn't understand what that meant, but she thought she deserved a decent conversation, remembering the last time they said goodbye

She left the dining hall and quickly went to the common room. She skipped the nobility of Ravenclaw and went to the dormitories. She missed this place so much. She quickly took out the books from his bag and put on clean clothes. She excited? yes. Meanwhile, her rabbit Tia, who had woken up to this noise, was watching her with curious eyes.

"Don't look at me like that. You're not coming."

Tia must have understood what he was saying because she turned away from her bed. She left her food and left the dormitory

She reached the Great Lake by bouncing across the snow.She put her bag under the tree. When she saw Gabriel there, she waved and laughed.

"I hope I haven't kept you waiting too long, Mr. Palmer. I hope your holiday was well."

Spotting Pandora, he waved and beckoned her over. He smiled but gave her a slight cold glare. He didn't easily forget something, nor forgive. He didn't really think Pandora did anything wrong, but he still didn't understand why she left him in the library without saying goodbye a couple weeks ago. He bowed when she finally reached him. "Nice to see you got the invitation. I wasn't sure if you would show." He crossed his arms bitterly. He'd tried to let it go over the past couple weeks, but she left him hanging. They were friends, she just left without goodbye and went on break. Even when he tried to shake it off, tell himself he didn't care, he did.

"Anyways, how do you feel about...swimming." He gave a nervous grin,finally revealing the reason he told her to meet him there. He cracked his knuckles and set down his bag, hoping she realized the use of the extra clothes. "Well, I suggest if you plan to get in the freezing cold water, you keep your bag closed to keep the warm in." He said excitedly, as if jumping in freezing level water was the greatest thing in the world. "Only thing is, if I get a detention from this, I'll curse the one who issued it. It's practically a detention risking hypothermia here. That's half the fun though, isn't it?" Trying to scare her, but he hoped she had the same sense of fun as he did. What's the point of the rules, if you don't break them?

Pandora noticed Gabriel's cold gaze and realized that she still hadn't forgotten the last goodbye. He was right, they had badly said goodbye and she wanted to make up for it.

"Shall we swim in the Great Lake? In this cold."

She looked at the lake. A warrior would not hesitate to enter, even if it was cold. There was no other explanation. Something else crossed her mind, but she quickly dismissed it. She realized that Gabriel was trying to scare him. She placed her bag on the floor and began to warm up.

She still couldn't believe he was going to do this. It was very cold, but the lake was not frozen. Presumably they would both be sick tomorrow.

With a quick and sudden idea, he quickly grabbed Gabriel's arm and started walking quickly towards the lake. Feeling the coldness of the lake, Pandora let go of his arm. She couldn't understand what she had just done, but she was quite happy with what she had done. Spoke cheerfully

"Rule number one Mr Palmer, never let them guess your next move."

Her body was shaking and the water was cold. But a warrior had to withstand the cold.

"Allow me if you're scared. It's not THAT cold." He grinned smugly; not sure she would go through with it. He began to prepare for the cold plunge into the water, till he looked up seeing Pandora grab his attention and walk towards the lake. "What are you doing?" He said as she dragged him towards the lake, his eyes slightly widening. Surely, she wouldn't jump in, it was his idea. He hadn't in the slightest thought Pandora would go first. Gabe thought she was pulling a ruse, tricking him into jumping in faster.

When they'd reached the edge of the lake, she let go of his arm and jumped in. Gabriel started at her admirably, admiring her sense of courage. He thought what his mother or a teacher would say, they'd think they were absolutely mad. He started at her. "One-one would say that was foolish... but not I. I must admit you're brave." He grinned. "You have balls man, but so do I!" He kicked off his shoes and leapt into the icy waters. The cold water hit him like a ton of bricks, the freezing sensation running through his whole body. He started shivering immediately but the adrenaline helped him ignore the cold.

"How much you wanna reckon I can last longer in here than you could?" He said confidently, running a hand through his now soaked hair. He gave her a smirk as he dived underwater, waited a couple seconds and came out causing a huge wave of water to hit her face. He felt his lips turning purple as always when he was in cold water for too long, but he's fine. "I do hope you know this is against the rules, I didn't take you for that kind of person." He mocked her. As he looked at her laughing, he realized there wasn't anyone else he'd want to do this with, he was glad she changed her mind.

Pandora was filled with gratuitous joy when she saw Gabriel jump too. She was trembling in the water, but she was full of joy.

"I bet I'll stay longer."

You were dressed like a snow queen at the Pandora party, now you're going to be real at this rate. Gabriel splashed her face with copious amounts of cold water as she dived into the water.

Angrily, he plunged into the water and, ignoring the cold water, plunged to the bottom. Realizing that Gabriel was behind him, she suddenly jumped out of the water and threw water behind him.

"I mean, if we have hypothermia, will they punish us for having hypothermia. Besides, I remember that there was no rule that it was forbidden to swim in the lake. "

Pandora felt very energetic. She even forgot the coldness of the water. She threw some water on Gabriel. It was as if a 5-year-old girl was playing in the water, not an 11-year-old girl.

"After a while, one gets used to the coldness of the water. But we'll be sick for sure when we get out. Until then let's have fun"

She felt more cheerful and fun when she was with Gabriel.

"I guess I couldn't have fun with anyone else like that."

He scoffed and playfully rolled his eyes. Gabriel knew she'd get too cold soon and rush back into the warmth. Not him though, he could be in here forever! Well, maybe not forever, Gabe thought. He felt very excited, despite feeling the goosebumps up his arms and legs from beneath his clothing.

He couldn't help but burst out laughing at Dora's shocked and contorted face after being splashed with water. He was too busy enjoying it that he didn't even realize she had done the same until he felt the cold water on his face. A cold shiver went through him, and he shook. "Okay okay, no more splashing on the face. Everywhere else is free territory though." He said as if splashed at her arms. He feltlike a 4-year-old again, playing in the pool in his brother. Except that was better as it was summertime and not freezing.

"Well, it's against the rules to swim without adult supervision. Probably so we don't do something dumb like this and risk hypothermia but again, what's the fun in that?" He said excitedtly as he dodge a handful of water thrown on him.

He nodded, agreeing with her. They were sure to get sick after this. It reminded him of how people believe you get sick from going in the cold with wet hair. If that was true, they'd certainly be sicker than that. There was no doubt in that, but Pandora was right. They should have fun while they were in there.

He'd laid off showing his amazing swimming skills since they'd require his face in the water, but he talked himself up. "When spring or fall comes around, I challenge you to a swimming race. I want to see how you are compared to me!" He waved his hands around and into a muscle pose. He raised his eyebrow while grinning, wondering if she was brave enough to take him on when the water was warmer.

Seeing Gabriel's face, Pandora burst into laughter. But he was right. Pandora spoke like a guilty child:

"Okay, I guess you're right. I mean, it could end badly."

She didn't want to go to the end. There was a small shiver as the wind hit her face. Okey, diving into the water was not a good idea.

"You're proposing a race. Okay, let's do it in the spring or fall. It doesn't matter to me."

She wasn't as good at swimming as she was at shooting arrows or playing the piano. But she had accepted. That's when she realized she forgot to ask what she was doing on vacation.

"What did you do on holiday? Was this place boring? But you found something to do, right?

She felt the water getting colder. He felt tiny needles sink into her body, but it wouldn't come out. She sneezed.

"Are you thinking of going? I've only just began."

Her voice cracked as she said this. It started to freeze more but tried to ignore. If my mother saw this, she would definitely be very angry, she told herself. She felt her head crack. She wasn't thinking of going out right now but.

He beamed pridefully at the acceptance of his challenge. He considered himself a pretty good, maybe even great swimmer. He decided to save himself, and Pandora from frostbite on their noses by not racing today. He grinned smugly at the thought of his mother's face, contorted with rage at the thought of him endangering himself. His mother cared about him greatly, but she could be a little overprotective at times.

"You know, some would say this is foolish." He thought aloud, thinking of anybody else reaction to this. It had seemed like such a fun and wise idea when Gabe first thought of it, but the colder it got the more it seemed like he was an idiot. It was not an understatement, it felt like the temperature was lowering every second. He gave a half-convincing smile, scoffing at her idea she would stay in longer.

"I'm a master at this. Cold water, pfft not a problem. You're merely a pawn in the master's game. I always win." He remarked, giving an animated grin. He was sure this remark would provoke something, but it was hard for him to stop bursting out at his own words.

Ah atlas, the subject of break. It was a boring subject for him, but he was eager to learn about hers. "Don't ask about mine I'm afraid you'll fall asleep. In these waters that's not such a good idea. I wanna know about yours, fancy New Year's party?"

"But I am not one. No matter what anyone says, I live by my own mind."

She was moving in the water because her body temperature was slowly dropping. The slower it fell, the longer it would stay.

"If I made you think that way, it means I acted well. We are in a puppet game now and I am the puppeteer controlling the strings. And I don't have a master. It's my game and I'm my own master."

OK, that was too much. But she said it to show that she wasn't afraid, but to be honest, Pandora was a little scared.

"So it was nice, parties like this are not for me, but they were pretty nice. Everywhere was beautiful. But as I said, parties are not for me. Was school that boring?"

She remembered what happened at the party. Okay, it might have caused some trouble, but the house is too big, what should I do, she said to herself.

"Which season do you like more? I guess I love all seasons. But I like rainy weather as the weather. What weather do you like?"

The weather was getting colder. She didn't want it to snow.
