The beginning of an inevitable journey  Fin
[01 September- Hogwarts day, A day prior to the boy's birthday.]

It was a ghostly white snowfall and the destructive hurricanes and wailing winds of winter had passed, leaving another dreadful stillness. The the sky's clouds were an ugly blend of pasty streaks and siliciclastic. The streets of london was being engulfed by a callous snowy winter frigid breath.
Ashley could see some children having fun on a frozen pond. To warm themselves, they banged their freezing bodies and stamped their ice-cold feet. Where their scarves couldn't cover them, their ears caught on fire and turned an ice blue. Their frosted features were covered in nose icicles. They scraped and itched at their wounded skin, as they shivered.

Ashley checked everything three times to make sure he didn't leave anything behind before packing all of his possessions and sitting in his room. Being less clumsy and thoughtless, even though he still makes mistakes, is a quality he inherited from his mother. He stood at his window and observed the kids playing in the absurd weather (as others would say). From a very young age, Ash's mother would make snowflakes to brighten the boy's mood when he was having a terrible day. Ash loved this kind of weather.

"Mom, I miss you."

He murmured these words as he sipped his delicious flavored coffee and nibbled on his favorite cupcake that his grandma had prepared.
Whilst he was stuck in his own thoughts his grandmother yelled his name while he was lost in thought.

" WE ARE RUNNING LATE, ASHLEY DINERO MONTEZ, GET YOUR LITTLE BODY DOWN HERE! "

The child rolled his eyes and giggled after hearing his grandmother's extreme aggression.

"Coming granny," "Sheesh, old folks,"

Before his grandma casts an obedient charm on him, the lad firmly grasped his luggage and descended the stirs.
The youngster couldn't carry all the luggage they were meant to leave with, as his generous grandma could see. To get the remaining bags, she ascended the stairs. Despite her advanced age, she was skilled in using charms, magic, and spells. She descended the stairs pointing her wand towards the bags as they were suspended in the air. After a little while, she placed the bags on the carriage as she tucked her wand into a concealed pocket in her sleeve.

"This specific spell will be quite useful if you need to ensure that objects levitate. I have faith that your Hogwarts professors will do admirably, my kid. Always have faith in the system and your professors."

The youngster nodded and said, "I hear you, granny." They exchanged a smile.

The grandma said, "Oh fiddlesticks, lad you have to be at Hogwarts train station shortly," as she realized that time had passed.
The youngster and his grandmother left for Hogwarts train station in a automobile. Time passed quickly as the two of them arrived at Hogwarts train station. The boy had unusually tightening in his gut and a brief bout of dread.

[The inevitable journey]

As he exited car with his bags in front of him and looked around him. He couldn't help but turn his body around in a 360-degree motion to take it all in. He had never stepped onto the enormous train that appeared in front of him. He felt uneasy since there were so many people generating a lot of noise and moving around while conversing or engaged in their daily activities.

"Dear, let's go, the train is about to leave, you look like you're going to pee your trousers. Be not frightened."

When his grandma said these words, the youngster felt an immediate sense of calm. They both walked toward the train, and when they got there, the boy gave his grandmother a tender hug.
After a brief while, the boy's grandmother released her embrace and handed him a ticket with the words "platform 9 3/4 " on it.

"Keep in mind that no one is perfect, so work hard, succeed, and it's alright to fail. Hogwarts is a diverse institution, and to be yourself all the time. Attend your classes and never forget to prioritize assignments, and everything. Happy Birthday Ashley Montez"

The boy nodded and smiled, he boarded the train with his bags. As his nervousness returned, he thought back to the words his granny had just said, and he felt at ease and comforted. He is a softy around his grandmother, but as the smile faded from his face, his cold and distant persona came to life once more. Since he wasn't one to strike up conversations or get excited about meeting new people, he looked for an empty compartment to snuggle into.

"Currently, I'm famished."

The young man sat down in an unoccupied compartment, went into his luggage, and discovered that his grandmother had packed his favorite cupcakes. Later, as the train paced toward Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and settled on a train trek, he opened the container and started to eat the cupcakes' while watching everything out the window of his compartment and listening to noises from both the prospective students of Hogwarts and the train itself.

The beginning of an inevitable journey  Fin
“Bye mom, bye dad,” Amaris said, trying to put a smile on her face. She was excited of course, what eleven-year-old wouldn’t be when heading off to some magical boarding school? However, thoughts ran rampant in her head. She had no idea magic even existed until a professor showed up at her house with a Hogwarts letter. She was probably years behind the other students, Amaris thought.

Her mom’s arms wrapped around Amaris’ body, clutching her tightly. “We love you, have a great year. Bye, sweetie,” she said as she let Amaris go. Her parents started to head back to where they parked their car, but not before echoing one more goodbye. She restrained a yawn, having not got a full night's sleep. Amaris had stayed up half the night thinking about Hogwarts and the possibilities that had opened up for her. Perhaps she would have time to take a rest on the train, depending on how long the train took to get to Hogwarts.

The black-haired girl stared at the two trains labelled nine and ten. Furrowing her eyebrows, she began to look around, confused about where she was meant to get on the train. She was sure that it read nine and three-quarters on the letter. Was there some secret entrance or a weird passcode she had to say out loud to get onto the train? At this point, it wouldn’t surprise her very much. Amaris started to grow nervous, what if she had to go back home since she couldn’t arrive at Hogwarts? She spotted another boy, one with blonde hair going through a brick wall between the two trains and she tightened her grip on her luggage. Her eyes widened, was that where she was supposed to board?

Amaris hesitated before going towards the brick wall. If the brick wall was truly solid, then the passers-by would probably think she needed to be sent to some sort of mental institution. Miraculously, she passed through and was met with the splendid insides of the train. She exhaled in relief, glad she found a way to get on. Her gaze wandered around as she started to walk, spotting a relatively empty compartment.

There was a boy sitting there, was he the one who she saw enter the train? “Uhm, hi,” Amaris began. “Can I sit here?” she asked. She wished she had come to the platform a bit earlier to find an empty compartment just to avoid the prospect of having to talk to strangers. Hopefully, this boy would be friendly enough.

The youngster continued to sit in the compartment by himself. He was unconcerned by the noisy, fully loaded train and his only concern was making it to his destination without mishap.
He continued to devour the delectable muffins his grandmother had prepared for him throughout his time alone, humming briefly as he did so.

"I swear I could eat this all day", he said to himself, smiling at the spongy cupcake in his mouth. Across his window, he observed the birds gliding through the sky with ease. Similarly the  environment, which was cold fit his nature.

He continued to eat whatever was left because his palates were still not fully satisfied.

After a little while, he had stopped eating and was staring outside.
A sudden sense of melancholy hit him as memories of his father and grandfather crept in subtly. Observing a snowflake outside the window was the reason for this.

A momentary reminiscence showed his grandma being apprehensive since the youngster had a mild fever; he was eight years old at the time.
His grandmother had told him about a star named Natsuhiboshi, which even though the youngster was unaware, it kept watching over him. Every time the young boy had difficulties falling asleep at night owing to the endless thoughts that flooded his mind, her grandma would sing him a lullaby of Natsuhiboshi.

Reducio
Natsuhiboshi, why are you so red?
Because I had a sad dream last night
My eyes are red from the tears I shed
Swollen as I cry

Natsuhiboshi, Why've you lost your way?
I'm searching for a child whose gone afar
He can't be found though I search all day
My sad dreams come once more

The youngster was perturbed out of his reverie by the noise the compartment door emitted as it was opened and he spotted the figure that emerged.

The boy adjusted his spectacles as he began to examine the girl who had come before him from head to toe and after a few seconds, he finally made direct eye contact with her whilst keeping his gaze.
He shook his head in response to the girl's gracious greeting and request to enter the compartment and sit with him, followed by a two-word response in a hushed tone.

" Hi, yes.! "

Her eyes went down, spotting the muffins the boy had been eating. They seemed good, Amaris thought. She had just brought some sandwiches from home to last her the trip which she couldn’t complain about though she wished she brought something sweeter as well. A chocolate, some random assortment of candy would've sufficed for her. She smiled as the boy gave her his response, more out of relief from anything else. The rest of the compartments seemed to be quite full, at least the ones that she could see, and she did not want to drag her luggage searching for another decent compartment.

“Thank you,” she replied before sitting down opposite the boy. Amaris glanced outside the window, seeing snowflakes descend from the sky. Perhaps it was going to snow today, she thought. That was certainly what she would’ve preferred and would’ve been a welcome change compared to the usual climate near her home. The weather there was always more humid much to her displeasure. Perhaps Hogwarts would be cooler, or there would be some fancy spell to change the temperature in a certain area.

According to the raucous noise that flooded the train, there were probably hundreds of students at Hogwarts. How did a building that had to fit dormitories, facilities, and classrooms to provide for so many pupils not get found out by normal peo-muggles, Amaris cut herself off, correcting herself. If she was going to fit in with the magical society then she would have to get used to their language.

Her attention strayed from her current thoughts towards the boy sitting across from her. He looked quite young, maybe he was in her year? It would be quite useful to have someone she knew in a brand new environment such as Hogwarts. She debated on if she should introduce herself.

The boy was quick to observe that the female in front of him broke eye contact and focused on his muffins. By the way the girl is staring at the muffins, his instincts tell him that she might be desiring them. With so many thoughts racing through his head, he questioned whether the girl's seeming generosity, niceness, and welcomingness were signs of irreconcilable differences as he was quite the opposite of her. He was jolted out of his daydream by the girl's thank you and decided not to reply, instead giving her a stern look.

Although the two individuals seated across from each other were surrounded by what seemed to be silence, the other students' commotion from the other compartments was filling the rest of their space. The duo would have been in complete silence to the point that even a needle's sound would have been clearly audible if it weren't for those noisy kids. He clinched his hand in indignation and wished he could order everyone to remain hushed, but because he had zero power over this, he kept his composure and gave the girl an odd look.

The lad reached for his container with his left hand and extended it in the position of the female who was reclined, deciding to share what he had with the other individual. He didn't hesitate, he sighed, and for a while he somehow managed not to blink. He smirked as his dimple reappeared, not realizing it was unsettling because he hardly puts an effort into making new friends.

" Before we get to Hogwarts, finish eating those, and then let's go get into our school robes. "

Even so, this time his monotone speech was motivated by apathy.
This is because he didn't know the girl, but he nevertheless intends to put in the effort. His tone is generally drab and monotonous, yet this comes so naturally.

She found the boy’s lack of response to her expressing her thanks strange though she shrugged it off. It wasn’t a big deal and she wasn’t one to blow things out of proportion. Amaris stayed silent throughout the journey, not a word uttered between the two students, a direct contrast to the numerous voices speaking in the other compartments. It would be comparable to entering the eye of a cyclone, exiting the chaotic environment to a relaxing atmosphere. This was the way she usually preferred it, a comfortable silence. Amaris tuned out the other noises, opting to think of them as background noise.

The silence was interrupted by the boy’s voice. She blinked, turning her head away from the window where she had been examining the scenery. She was surprised by the offer, the boy having struck her as someone who was more reserved. Nonetheless, Amaris smiled at the boy’s generosity, despite the slightly unsettling way the line was delivered. She reminded herself that she couldn’t judge whether the behaviour was strange, barely having any friends in school.

“Thanks,” she replied, her voice quiet than she would’ve liked though still clear enough to understand. They looked amazing and she was sure the taste would be equally as pleasant. Amaris reached towards the container, pulling out one of the baked goods. Before she started to eat, she decided to say something else to the boy.

“What’s your name?” Amaris asked, Perhaps she and the other boy could be friends. Seven years at a boarding school by yourself would surely be a lonely journey, she thought.

"Thanks."
That was the first thing the boy heard after giving over the container of muffins to the girl that seated in front of him; he was an excellent judge of character and was consistently willing to try something new. Most of the time, his personality simply fails him miserably. Despite the fact that there bustle outside their cabin, he was able to remain focused on his viewpoint and take in the scenery while they rode on train.

The girl's query jarred him out of his reverie. In response to the inquiry about his name, he gave a sincere smile, but this was only a “ moderate ” because he was willing to make an effort to get to know the the girl.

" Ashley..Ashley Dinero Montez, and who might you be?"

The girl almost identically resembles his grandmother, which is why he draws comparisons. Ashley's family had figured out how to get over his personality barrier, but it seemed like the girl did so swiftly.
He fought with himself not to show compassion to the girl because she was nevertheless a stranger to him and he had to remind himself that she was not at all his grandmother. His expression changed back to one of tedium he awaited her response.
Additionally, he would pull out his Hogwarts garment from one of his luggage and place them on his lap whilst wiping his spectacles using a serviette.

Ashley, that seemed more like a feminine name to Amaris though she supposed it could work for a male as well. The boy, Ashley’s name seemed to originate from another country, perhaps she would have to ask him sometime.

“Amaris Levine. Nice to meet you.” she replied.

Noticing Ashley pulling out his Hogwarts garments, she noted that she should probably change after she finished the muffin. Amaris sank her teeth into the baked good, finding it welcomingly spongy. It tasted good, she thought, she could see how the boy ate so many of them. Once finished, she reached into her luggage to pull out her Hogwarts robes, which looked nearly identical to Ashley’s, not that she could tell the difference. She donned the garment, finding that the fabric seemed to be good quality, though she never had a good eye for clothes.

As the train started to near Hogwarts, Amaris found herself wondering what the establishment looked like. Surely it wouldn’t resemble any normal school, there had to be dozens of interesting gimmicks the school would have to offer. Floating items scattered around the school, mythical creatures strolling around the grounds, anything at all. If not, she would be sorely disappointed. Peering outside the window, her gaze wandered around the scenery, searching for any signs of a large building in the distance.

Ashley was perplexed by the girl's facial reaction when he told her his name, but he did not allow it disturb him in the slightest since no word was spoken by the girl besides mentioning her name and making the lad aware that it was nice to meet him.

" Interesting. Likewise"

He spoke admonishingly. After wiping his spectacles clean, Ashley got up to go the boy's restroom to change. He stumbled across two boys on his way who appeared to be bullies. Ashley had no desire to interact with bullies; instead, the boys were scared off by his eerie appearance and realized he was not one of their typical friends.

Ashley took great pleasure in who he was, despite the fact that it came with conceit or a bad attitude in the eyes of others.
As he made his entry at the restroom, he held his clothing firmly. He stripped off his regular attire and put on a pair of gray pants, a white shirt, and a tie with the Hogwarts school insignia. He furthermore wore a totally black long sorcerer kimono over his uniform. The child looked fantastic in the Hogwarts school outfit, which embodied his bad boy persona even though the school uniform did seem fair and the fabric was fantastic. He loved seeing himself in the bathroom mirror as he examined himself. He correctly tucked in his shirt and adjusted his tie and collar. They say beauty is deception, however when it came to the youngster who had both beauty and intelligence, all claims were false. He was destined to become a wizard.

Ashely went back to his compartment and when he got there, he saw the girl looking out the window. He was perplexed as to why she would do so, but he didn't let it worry him too much. As he moved slowly toward his seat, he cleared his throat.

"We are appraching hogwarts Amaris, no need to peep outside."

He unintentionally smirked as he teased her. They have about a minute to get to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as everyone aboard the train suddenly heard a steam horn signaling their approach.

Amaris watched as the boy stood up, probably to change. Unlike her, he also brought a different shirt and pants to change into. She had already been wearing a plain grey shirt and pants in order to avoid the hassle of changing clothes in the train bathroom. Now, she just had to wear her tie which she did so, replicating the familiar movements that she had done every day for several years when she was getting ready for her school. She turned her head as Ashley entered the compartment, noticing the movement from her peripheral vision. The uniform certainly suited him, Amaris noted.

She shrugged at the boy’s words. She still wanted to see Hogwarts before they arrived and besides, Amaris enjoyed watching the scenery. It always made the time pass quicker for her, a tactic she employed whenever there was a long journey.

“Can’t hurt,” she replied, wondering if his comment was intended to be rude, the smirk certainly made it seem so. However, his tone seemed to suggest otherwise, at least to Amaris. Finally, a building came into her sights, one much larger than she had expected, and definitely grander. The steam horn then blew, signalling their imminent arrival at Hogwarts. Finally, she thought, having awaited being at the castle since she had received her Hogwarts letter. She glanced around, finding that some students had already stood up in preparation to leave the train. Perhaps she should as well.
