Where's my quill?

─────The library was a great place for friday afternoons. It's the end of the week for one thing, but the other thing is that there are loads of homework waiting to be finished. And you can't expect the dormitories to be quiet, can you? People talking and jostling isn't exactly the perfect atmosphere to write homework. The only place with enough silence to work is, of course, the library.
─────Ayuna walked in to the large library carrying a mountain of books piled on her arms. Walking gingerly towards an empty table, the girl set down her books with a sigh of relief. She shook her sore arms and sat down, mumbling about how much homework there are. "Why are there so much homework?" she sighed, "Now I'm really wishing to be in Foxwoods Prep. At least it didn't have this much homework!"
─────The girl dug through her satchel, trying to find a quill. Unfortunately, the inside of her satchel was a great big mess. Ink bottles mixed with different notebooks, pieces of parchment sprawled on the bottom. It was like a large destruction site without a single quill. "What?" Ayuna asked, growling, "Where is my quill?" She turned the bag upside down and shook it vigorously. Everything tumbled out, ink bottles, pieces of parchment, notebooks, lecture books... Everything, but no quill.
─────Sighing, Ayuna put everything back into her bag. She wasn't in the mood for traveling to the West Tower then to the Ravenclaw Common Room. Suddenly, another girl caught her eye. She was older, with light brown hair that turned blonde in the light. Walking over, Ayuna asked her with a hopeful little smile, "May I borrow a quill? I left mine behind."

Where's my quill?
@Ayuna Baudelaire
As a frequent visitor of the Hogwarts library, Lindsey was now again at its entrance. The library was indeed an island full of treasures, those charming ancient books and parchments waiting for her discovery. Since the very beginning of her first year she had formed the habit of visiting here regularly, whenever she had some left homework to finish or wanted to do some extra reading. The Hufflepuff common room was cozy enough, but her chatty housemates and the relaxed atmosphere weren’t that suitable for studying - the library was a much more ideal place. Today was no exception. After looking through a few books and bringing them back to her seat, Lindsey put her things down and picked up her quill. Transfigurations was a rather difficult subject, but she liked the feeling of solving problems. Elegant-coloured quill flew on the parchment, doing calculations and memorising incantations, accompanied by a flip of book from time to time. It went smoothly and so she was in a fairly good mood, with no one disturbing her - very well.
She was putting down a full stop when someone’s voice alerted her. Raising up her head, a brunette fell into her eyes. The girl seemed much younger than her, supposedly a first or second year, smiling expectantly upon her. Throwing some curls to her back Lindsey now had a better view of the girl. Huh, possibly first year, who hadn’t experienced the baptism of Hogwarts homework before. Presuming this, there wasn’t a single reason she shouldn’t lend her quill to her when she did have spared ones. And especially, this little girl looked pretty harmless. “Oh, of course, I’ve got spared ones.” She would rummage through her satchel before snatching a pure white quill out. Lindsey had always been a prepared person, it’s really not her habit of being disordered. Things should be organised, now and always. She rarely experienced the fear of not being able to find her things. When passing the quill to the girl, a friendly smile would curl her lips into a curve. “Here you are. And…you are a first year, aren’t you? I’m in my fourth year.” She laughed slightly. “Enjoying your Hogwarts life so far?” That was a nice starter, Lindsey supposed, maybe she was slowly getting out from her shell and going back to the old sociable self again.

Thanks!" she said as she took the pure white quill from the older girl, a smile on her lips, "I'm Ayuna by the way, Ayuna Baudelaire. Nice to meet you!" Remembering something, she scurried back to her table and put the books and homework on the desk beside the Hufflepuff with a small thump. Then, she pulled over a chair and plopped down beside the girl, opened a textbook and grabbed a piece of parchment. Yep, I'm a first year. Ayuna said, flipping a book, You're already a fourth year? Cool! Is the classes hard? "
She eyed the girl curiously, "Definitely enjoying!" she said happily, Hogwarts is so mysterious, and there are so many activities. I could expect something new to happen every day!" she paused for a moment, before tilting her head and saying thoughtfully, "Although there is quite a bit of homework, you know. Loads and mountains of them, I honestly don't know how students manage to survive this!" she laughed, her blue eyes twinkling. Ayuna looked at the book she had been reading earlier, on the cover it read : One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi, by Phyllida Spore, "I do like most classes," she said and scanned the book for more information, "Especially herbology and flying, I love nature and breathing the fresh air outdoors." Looking up, the Ravenclaw asked, What about you? What classes do you like? I despise History of Magic though," she said with a nervous giggle, "It will literally bore me to death." She grinned, it felt nice talking with a girl who is like an elder sister and she was beginning to enjoy the Puff's company.
"You know," she said and stopped writing, staring into space, The library is so quiet in the afternoon, so peaceful and quiet, it's like time has stopped." Turning to the girl, Ayuna smiled, a dreamy look in her eyes, "I love it like this, don't you? The best time in the day to be exact."

Where's my quill?
@Ayuna Baudelaire
Ayuna was a quite pretty name, thought Lindsey, unique and elegant. She watched the girl scurrying back to her table and taking all her things back and seating herself beside her like a swirl, and smile climbed on Lindsey’s lips. She did like the girl, her energetic and nimble manor reminded her of her own younger self. “Of course.” She nodded at the girl’s question. “You know, with all the electives and such…but I think I’m handling it.” Being a natural perfectionist Lindsey tended to do her best in everything, and even though the classes were getting harder and harder, she believed she was doing well - just see the Os she obtained on her report card. “The course is fairly interesting though. You will surely like it, when you come to fourth like me.” She chuckled slightly. This was obviously not a joke. She did enjoy the classes, learning all those spells and useful skills. Magic was magic, and it was fun.
“Well…I definitely agree.” She answered, flickering her quill carelessly. “But you’ll eventually get used to it, so yeah.” Lindsey made a gesture and laughed. “Whenever I feel that there’s too much, I tell myself that I can never achieve something if I don’t work hard.” She expressed.
“Herbology and Flying? Why, I love them as well. Have you ever considered joining your house’s Quidditch Team? Or broom racing?” It was quite natural that most students who loved flying would find their interests in these two sports. Um, okay, it seemed that Lindsey herself didn’t fit in such a rule being a duellist, but she used to play Quidditch. Anyway. It was truly and exciting thing to find someone that shared the same interest with you. “My favourites are Transfigurations and Herbology. As for the electives, I adore Muggle Studies.” It didn’t cost her much time of thinking, as people in Hogwarts were generally walking around and questioning each others’ favourite subjects. A must-answer question, it became, which in Lindsey’s mind was deemed necessary - it’s always good to get to know yourself, right? And the first thing to do was to be aware of your interests. Life would be frightening if you didn’t have a goal, wouldn’t it?
“Me. Also.” Lindsey made a face hearing Ayuna saying that History of Magic was super boring. Exactly what Lindsey had been thinking, remembering historical facts were definitely not as interesting as spell casting for her. “I find it boring to write all those essays.” She shrugged.
She watched Ayuna falling into a daydreaming state when mentioning the library. Obviously this little girl beside her was a book lover like she was - Lindsey had seen students who despised the library and preferred the outdoors instead. And possible poet, who’d see the beauty out of ordinary things. Lindsey did agree with her, the quietness also calming her down. “It is.” She backed, also putting her quill down and gazing yonder like what Ayuna did, then took a deep breath. “The hall of books…the kingdom of knowledge. The air is still, the time has stopped, in such a beautiful afternoon.” She blinked after softly speaking the words out as if chanting - when did she because so poetic? This was definitely not very Lindsey-like. She couldn’t help but think that this girl, Ayuna, did have some kind of unique magical power. Her fondness of this girl soon increased - there’s no doubt that this was such a sweet little girl.
