Why shouldn't enemies be friends?
@Gabriel PalmerPandora exited the common room with an arrow in her hand, distressed. She was haunted by her behavior in the library the day before. She had been a little too rude and threatened the boy. Yeah she was angry at the time so she acted too harsh
She was very happy when he came to the great lake. The lake was frozen and white was everywhere. It wasn't that crowded. She wondered why people would be inside these days. She quickly put her bag under a tree and began to enjoy the snow.
She made a snowman, threw herself into the snow, enjoyed the snow. After a while, she collected her open hair and reached for her arrow. Time to practice, she told herself.
She identified a tree and prepared and fired her arrow. She had hit the side of the tree. I'm rusty, though this is a normal month I haven't been working properly, I wonder how my piano skills are, she said to herself
This time she went to her bag and took out an old tin can, a bottle and an apple, and placed them side by side on a rock. Just as he was about to shoot, a sound came from the bushes, and Pandora swiftly aimed her arrow there. I hope it's not Palenga she thought.

Why shouldn't enemies be friends?
It was a cold winter's day, finally lessons were over. Gabe was sitting by the fire in a soft armchair, staring through the window. Many people were wrapped up in winter gear, enjoying the festive activities in the cold. The snow was falling outside, but not enough to stop some snowy fun! Gabriel rose from the armchair, pulled a hat over his ears, a scarf around his neck, and finally some gloves.
He walked outside, not sure what to do. He wanted to make a snowman, but he was no good at that. It always ended up in snow inside your gloves, leaving your wrists red and hurting. His favorite snow activity was sledding but he didn't have his. He decided to go practice his running around the Great Lake.
He walked to the now solid, frozen Great Lake. It would be perfect to skate on, if only they were allowed, he thought. Ditching the running, he stepped onto the ice; sure no one was watching. He slid on the ice in his socks, having a great time. He got off the ice and put his shoes back on, his feet were freezing. He decided to go back inside, he started walking back to the castle.
Suddenly out of nowhere, a bush appeared in front of him. Wham! He faceplanted into the bush. He sat there for a moment, knowing no one was there but still feeling humiliated and defeated. He laid down in the bush, it was quite nice actually. Protected from the harsh wind, he lied there for a moment, though he twisted his ankle falling in, that was most of the reason he wasn't getting up.
All of a sudden, a loud "wishh" sound flew past him and he decided to check it out. It took a couple minutes to get up, boy was he sore. He appeared out of the bushes, face to face with an arrow. It was the girl from the library a day earlier, she wasn't joking when she said she knew how to shoot a bow. Not this again... he thought as he slowly threw his hands in the air as if being arrested.

@Gabriel PalmerPandora was relieved to see the boy from the library emerge from the bushes. But she didn't react. She threw his hands up as if the boy was being arrested, and she knew it was him. She lowered her arrow without saying a word.
She knew that her behavior that day was bad, so without a reaction on her face, she went back to her old place and started packing her things.
There was no trace of anger on her face, but for some reason she couldn't make herself eat anything.
When she was about to pack his things and leave, she turned to the boy. "Just so you know. I wasn't serious when I said I was going to shoot you there. I'm having trouble even with this practice anyway. For a moment I thought it was something in that bush... never mind. "
She wasn't angry. Her voice was monotonous. She didn't know why, but there was no trace of his previous joy. Maybe I exaggerated too much, she said to herself. "By the way, I apologize for what happened in the library. I overreacted." She tried to go. I guess the snow fun is over here, she said to herself

He put his hands down, glancing curiously at the bow. He had seen his best friend operate it once, but he had never been allowed to touch it. He brushed the snow off himself awkwardly before looking at the girl, who had started packing up.
He stared at the ground, wondering if she was mad or if maybe she had the same guilt in her chest. Admittedly, he had been in the wrong. Not everyone has the same sense of fun as him, all of this would've been avoided if he apologized. "Oh, yeah of course. I knew that..." He laughed quietly. He was not the slightest bit angry at her anymore.
The girl was about to leave but weirdly he didn't want her to. "Wait. I'm the one that should be sorry. I snapped at you when you were just trying to help. And uhm by the way, I think that shot at the tree was nice, I saw you get the arrow off." Admittedly he wasn't sorry at all about the dung bomb, he still thought that was funny. He actually was sorry about the incident with her though.
"I don't mean to make you leave; I didn't know you were here. I was uh doing bush stuff. Anyways, if you'd like we can start over. I'm Gabriel Palmer." He stuck out his hand like he does every new person, half expecting her to walk away.

@Gabriel Palmer"I barely hit the side of the tree. My main target was in the middle, I guess it was because my head was so messy."
Pandora was delighted when we said we could start over. She bowed exaggeratedly right in front of her and spoke: "Hello Mr Palmer. My name is Pandora Smith. Some of my friends prefer to call her Dora. Say so if you want. Would you like to spend this snowy day with me? I insist"
As soon as she said her last word, she lost her balance and fell face down on the snow. It wasn't that cold as Pandora was dressed tightly. She straightened up and with a sudden movement grabbed Gabriel's arm and threw herself back into the snow. She fell with it. She was laughing.
"That's the real joke, Mr. Palmer. You should see your face." She started laughing like a child. Yes, it was completely comfortable now. She got up from the snow and held out her hand for Gabriel to get up.
"Sounds like fun today huh Mr. Palmer" She was jokingly saying the word Mr. I hope he didn't misunderstand, she thought. She couldn't help but laugh again. Okay, she thought it would be a nice friendship.

"It was still a great shot, I had a friend with a bow, he could never hit that shot!" He laughed. She was just being humble. He gave a very exaggerated gesture of tipping a hat, alongside Pandora's bow. "Well Pandora, or Dora, I think that's a great idea. As long as you show me how to build a proper snowman. WITHOUT getting snow in my gloves. Or tripping over a bush, admittedly I had not intended to do that." He looked up from the ground, to find Pandora splayed in the powdery snow. He barely contained a laugh until all of a sudden, he was down in the snow as well. His face was so shocked, his mouth hanging up and eyes wide as he looked over at Pandora.
He laid there for a minute, still laughing with his new friend. How weird it could be that enemies can easily turn into friends; first impressions aren't always as they seem. They were both having a bad day and were being harsh the day they met. He could see in her eyes a kind person, something he failed to see in his rage the day before.
She was still laughing at his surprise as she held out her hand. Gabe immediately took it and pulled himself up out of the snow. "Indeed, it does sound like fun Miss Smith." Mockingly putting emphasis on the miss. It seemed like ages ago they were insulting each other, unable to see how well they are together. "What shall we do first in this amazingly beautiful, but cold... very cold day?" "Even though it isn't your style, may I suggest some trouble?" He looked up at the sky, as snowflakes fell on his hat. The only doubt he had now was that there wouldn't be a snowstorm soon.

@Gabriel PalmerArchery is difficult to set up. Do you know?
She couldn't help laughing when Pandora called her Miss Smith. It almost fell again. She wasn't normally this clumsy. She was happy to see that there was no enmity between them.
"Hmm do you want to make a snowman with my siblings we love to make snowmen on winter days. Sure, I'd rather have a snowball fight, but I'll show you anyway."
She bent down and rolled a small snowball. When it reached reasonable size, it stopped and turned to Gabriel.
"I'm going to find some sticks, can you make the middle part Mr Palmer?"
Laughing, she went to where the trees were. She was also thinking while picking the branches. A few days ago, he was building a snowman with a man he wouldn't even look at. I guess first impressions shouldn't be disregarded, Pandora thought. Pandora took them out of her mind and came back again
"I'm back. Do you miss me, Mr. Palmer?" She smiled. Meanwhile, Pandora noticed something. She didn't know anything about Gabriel. She even learned his name today
"What are your hobbies? I didn't know you very well that day. I think you like to read books."

He watched carefully as she rolled snow into a ball for the base of the snowman. She turned to him, explaining that she was off to get some sticks, probably for the arms he assumed. As she went to go find sticks, he rolled snow into a medium-sized ball for the middle of the snow man. It was pretty easy to make a snowman, he even had time to hurl a couple snowballs at innocent passersby's while waiting for Pandora to come back. He hummed to himself as he watched Pandora walk back with a couple of sticks.
"Maybe I did, but I'd bet you missed me a bunch more." He winked mockingly. He thought back to a couple days ago, thinking about hanging out with Pandora a would've made him sick then. Yet here he was, opposites attract he guessed. He was surprised when she mentioned his hobbies. Not many people would've cared, but admittedly they did know very little about each other. "Yeah, I like reading. I also like to just venture out and cause trouble at times if you haven't noticed." "I also love animals, I'm saving up for an owl...but with the amount of money I get, I'd be surprised if I got one any time soon."
He chuckled "What about you? I know you like archery and you seem good at it." He'd actually considered learning how to shoot a bow and arrow after his best friend showed him his. His father had always been overprotective and hadn't allowed it. This is something he wasn't ready to share yet though, it was too personal talking about his family yet. He had trouble with those kinds of conversations.

@Gabriel PalmerPandora spoke as she inserted sticks into the big snowball "I can't tell you how much I miss you, you smoked in my nose, those five or ten minutes seemed like years to me" She laughed sarcastically. She thought the day was getting better. She put the hydrangea on the sticks. Only a small part remained.
"I can't believe you're joking. You and making trouble can't even be in the same sentence.
She thought a little. "I've loved archery since I was little. But other than that, playing the piano, reading fantasy books, pretending to be a real fantasy adventure in nature, listening to music and writing fiction. I love to tell more, but all be out of my mind by the time I get home."
Pandora was sad for a moment when she thought of her house. She remembered the last words her brother Sam had said.
She immediately tried to get away from these thoughts and spoke in the same tone of voice.
"Last piece of it remains, then we made a beautiful face with a carrot and some stones, and arms with the remaining sticks, your card man is ready."
Trying to smile: "If you have a brother or sister, how old is he or she?"

He listened to her as he collects stones for the buttons and eyes. She had many hobbies, sharing some common ones with him. "I like a lot of those things too; can't say I know how to play piano though. You seem to have many talents." He looked up at Dora, noticing a pause in her words. She had a thoughtful but a tad bit sorrowful look on her face. He pretended not to notice as she snapped out of her thoughts and continued speaking. The last part of the snowman had to be done, Gabe held out his hands and gave Dora the stones for the face. He wondered where'd he get a carrot from, he usually didn't carry one around.
He looked at her, noticing a weird look on her face. "I have a brother, no sisters. His name is Rowin and he's 19. He's currently working in France as an author, so I won't see him this Christmastime." He smiled proudly at the work of his brother; he had always been destined for a good job even if it meant being far away from Gabe. "I don't know where we'll get a carrot, also what about you? Do you have any siblings?" He noticed her pause when she started talking about home, so he wouldn't push the subject. He more than understood not wanting to talk or think about something.
