In the crowded train station, a little girl stood out among the mass of people. No, it wasn't because she was tall, only 4 feet 5. The one reason people noticed her was because she was alone, no parents or guardians whatsoever, except for a large golden retriever beside her.

Ayuna Baudelaire eased her way through all the crowds of people with Tom, a golden retriever beside. Mother and father didn't come, they were probably going out and enjoying themselves in a bar, leaving their daughter alone. So that's the reason why Ayuna came to the train station alone, with only a large dog accompanying her. She felt lonely, looking at all the families. No matter big or small, they were full of warmness. If only mother and father were here, the girl thought, bowing her head.

"Ten minutes until departure" a loud voice brought the girl into reality. She bent down to ruffle the fur of Tom. “I’ll be going to a magical school, I’m a witch and is going to learn magic powers!” she announced “It’s just the same in story books, isn’t it? Going off to a new and spectacular world, what could be better?” Then she kissed Tom on the tip of his nose and whispered “I’ll miss you and Snow a lot, goodbyes are hard, I know. But we’ll have to move on. When I leave, remember to take care, for my bunny and for you.” She smiled bitterly as the dog looked up at her with big, comforting eyes.

"Five minutes until departure" the voice said again. Ayuna straightened and petted her dog one for time, "我会想你的，再见！" I'll miss you, goodbye! she whispered and ran towards the train, the dog's barks growing fainter and fainter.

On the express, Ayuna quickly found a compartment with no people and sat down, making herself comfortable as she opened a large book: Hogwarts, a History, and began to read.

Oliver had been waiting for this day. The sun was shining and he felt the light breeze on his skin. It was the day he was to arrive at Hogwarts. In around 6-7 Days, he would turn 12 already. He was tall with curly brown hair. Some people even thought he was second year. He held a a book, "The Standard Book of Spells" by Miranda Goshawk. He entered a train carriage and he walked down the hallways looking at each compartment. Most were full, but he found one with a girl reading the "History of Magic" book in it. "Hi- Can I sit here? It's the only- not noisy compartment. In fact- its the most peaceful" he told the girl with black hair. She seemed to be intent on studying. Should he had left her alone? Its clear she was very hardworking. Just like him. She might have not wanted to have any visitors. He didn't want to be a distraction to her. "If you'd like, I could leave and find another compartment. I'm sure theres one a couple of carts down." he said He looked down to the book in his hand. He was planning to get some last minute review before he got to Hogwarts. If he had to seat in a noisy compartment, there was no way he was going to be able to study.

"Hi- Can I sit here? It's the only- not noisy compartment. In fact- its the most peaceful" a boy's voice travelled into the compartment. "Peaceful," the girl murmured under her breath, "that's the most off the chart thing anyone said about me. Wait till you know me." Then, Ayuna looked up from her book, and saw a tall boy with a mop brown hair. He looked quite handsome, the girl had to admit, but she wouldn't treat him differently from others. "Sure," she said and smiled a bit, standing up, "make yourself comfortable, I was hoping for someone to join me." Her gaze set quickly on the book he was holding, "Do you like reading too?" she asked, curious, "What's the name of the book? I like them as well."

"Anyways, my name is Ayuna, Ayuna Baudelaire. Nice to meet you." Ayuna blushed a bit, looking at the boy warmly. She plopped down on a seat and crossed her legs together. "So... What do you know about Hogwarts? I know I'm excited and worried." The girl said, eyeing the boy curiously. "Are you a muggle-born? I am. Just got the acceptance letter a few weeks ago." She smiled excitedly, "Can we be friends," she asked carefully, hoping the boy would say yes, "I really need some help in knowing the wizard world."

She remarked that he was the first person to say that she was peaceful. He did not expect that answer from her. He was glad when she agreed to let him sit with her. He didn’t want to be in a noisy cabin. She told him that she was hoping someone would come along like he did. He still held the book in his hand when she asked if he liked reading. ”Yeah- I do. A lot! It’s kind of a hobby.” he said in response to her question.

She then asked about the book. ”Oh the book is the standard book of spells. I believe it was i the list they sent me.” he said. She introduced herself as Ayuna Baudelaire. It was nice name. ”Well, Im Oliver. Oliver Brown. You can call me Oli. It was nice meeting you here today.” he told her. He sat on a seat. Boy was his legs tired.

She asked what he knew from Hogwarts. ”Its a school where you learn magic using wands. There are 4 houses, practically your family while your away from home. Gryffindor, the brave, Slytherin, the cunning, Hufflepuff, the loyal and Ravenclaw, the witty. I hope to be Ravenclaw. My entire family is.” he shared with her. She asked if he was muggle born since she was. ”Actually, nearly muggle born. My father is a muggle, my mom is a witch. Not the scary type that you see in movies” he told her.

”I would be happy to be friends with you! Ic an help you out since your a muggle born. It must be hard walking into a new world you never knew even existed.” he told her smiling as he put his book down. He read for a while, by the time he put the book down the train had already left the station. He took out a paper and asked Ayuna, ”May I draw you?”

The boy- introduced himself as Oliver Brown, or Oli- came into the compartment and sat down. Ayuna grinned, "I read a lot too, mostly fairytales or novels. I don't exactly like science books though, they're bore the hell out of me." It was quite nice to see a reader just like her, not many students liked to read nowadays.

When Oliver told her about the magic world, Ayuna was slightly surprised. Houses? she thought making a mental note. The brave, the loyal, the cunning, and the witty, I think that's all. Judging herself, the girl said, "Well, I'm not sure, maybe in Hufflepuff, I guess? Or in Ravenclaw. I do hope we meet if I'm sorted into Ravenclaw!"

He told her about his heritage, a muggle father and a witch mother. "Are you a half- blood? It says so in this book." Ayuna said, holding up Hogwarts, a History, to the part about bloodlines. "I wish that my family were like yours, then I could learn both muggle and wizard things."

She smiled, "I used to think witches were quite scary, but they are just normal people with magical powers." the girl said, "I still can't believe I''m a witch. It's literally out of this world!" Her eyes shimmered excitedly as she became engrossed in her book again.

When Oliver asked to draw her, Ayuna was taken aback. Nobody had ever asked her that. "Sure," The girl said giggling a bit. "That's my pleasure!"

She shared her liking about books with him. He could totally relate when she said she didn’t like science text books. I mean who likes reading science? She then expressed her hope that they get sorted into the same house! ”I would also hope to meet you if I am sorted into Ravenclaw. Who knows, I might be Slytherin. Maybe even Gryffindor, I’d say I have more change Slytherin than Gryffindor though.” he told the girl. She asked if he was a half-blood. ”Uh yeah I am actually. Believe me, it is much simpler to have muggle parents in my opinion.” he told Ayuna. She expressed her disbelief of being considered as a Witch. ”There are a lot more stuff in this world than being a witch. There are Damphirs which are Vampires I think, Werewolves, half man half wolf and a Metamorphagus-“ he hesitated. No one new about his power yet but many people have gotten close to finding it out. To not raise suspicions, he continued. ”A Metamorphagus is a person who can change their appearance. Imagine that! I wish I was one.” he told her. Oliver was glad when she agreed to let him draw her. After maybe 10 minutes, he was finally finished. ”Here ya go-“ he said. It wasn’t his best work- just a few lines he put together. It wasn’t much of a portrait but it was something!

Oliver also expressed the feeing of dislike towards textbooks. "Yeah, muggle textbooks are extremely boring, unlike Hogwarts' lecture books. "the girl said, "These books about magic is quite interesting."

When he said something about having muggle parents is better, Ayuna smiled bittersweetly, "Actually, both my parents totally freaked out when they saw the letter. " she said, "They don't have the slightest idea of what magic is like." Saying that they freaked out will be an understatement, she thought, they thought I was a freak, a girl who isn't supposed to be in their family at all.

Then, the halfblood informed her about[ other races in the wizard world. Ayuna noticed that the boy hesitated when he said the word metamorphagus. Is he a meta- what? the girl thought, studying the boy carefully. He didn't seem to be able to change his appearance so that made her doubt her view. Still, the girl made a mental note on that.

Oliver began to draw her on a sketchbook. She sat as still as possible, ignoring the thought of squirming and moving he limbs. After about ten minutes' time, he handed her the sketchpad. "Wow!" Ayuna said, "You do have a talent in drawing. It looks so nice! I love it, thank you."

She looked down at her watch, ten minutes' until the train reach Hogwarts. She'll have to use time more efficiently to learn her new friend better.

He was a bit surprised when she talked about her parents freaking out over the letter. It was usually something celebrated in his family. It must be hard to have muggle parents. ”If you need help, anything at all when you are at Hogwarts, you can always just reach out to me!” he told her. He was very supportive to his peers. He smiled when she said he liked his drawing. ”Thank you. I am glad you like it! Actually, here you can keep it. A parting gift as we are about to arrive to Hogsmede Station” he told her pushing the drawing towards her. It was getting dark now, and he was starving! He hoped they served good food here! He pulled out a piece of crackers and broke it in half. ”You want one?” he asked Ayuna holding out his hand which had one half of a cracker. He looked out of the window. He saw the moon above, shining bright. He was happy he had made a new friend here on the train. He was exhausted from the trip. He bit into his cracker. If they don’t have food there yet, he would go crazy. Then the train stopped. He got up and got his stuff and exited the train. ”We have to cross the lake now. I will see you in Hogwarts!” he told Ayuna while waving goodbye while he merged with the crowd.
