Finally, September 1st. Hannah was excited, she had been waiting for this day for years.

As she entered the Hogwarts Express, it was a feeling she never had felt before. A mix of excitement, happiness, and something more.

"Bye mom!" she said loudly from the window. Now, what she needed to do was find an empty compartment.

She felt lost, it was about 11:00 am, and the Hannah was there since 9:30, only waiting, and waiting... Most of the compartments were full, and she asked if she could sit in a boy's compartment, but he said no. She walked a bit more, to where most the first years sat. They took about 7 compartments, but there were still more first years.

Hannah walked to a quiet compartment, where no one actually sat. No bags, no people, no sign of sitting... It was perfect, truly perfect.

"Ah yes, a good place to sit." she smiled entering the place. She put down her trunk and sat down. Her legs took up a bench, as the girl sat sideways, she opened her trunk, grabbing an alluring book she had been reading for a week now, very close to finishing it.

What? Hannah saw a girl and she asked if she could sit with Hannah. "Sure, what's your name?" she wanted to make friends nice and steady, that wouldn't be any close to easy, as she was very talkative.

Thankfully, Hannah loved reading, so she was more concentrated, and didn't actually care what other people said.

She sat down properly, removing her legs from the bench, she didn't feel so comfortable, but that was fine. The girl looked at the window, the train hadn't left yet.

She wanted to asked millions of questions like "Are you excited for Hogwarts?" or "Do you have any pets?" "What was your first instance of magic?" "What house are you hoping to be in?", but she didn't, she couldn't.

Hannah continued reading, sometimes looking at the girl and questioning who she looked like. Hogwarts would be quite an experience wouldn't it? She smiled, and thought that maybe just maybe, Hannah and this girl would become friends.

Best friends? Maybe, friends? Maybe. It was all a big maybe.

But something was for sure, she needed to be in Slytherin, she just needed to.

"Hannah, Hannah Blossom." she smiled. "Pleasure Ivy." she offered a hand to shake hoping that Ivy would accept the hand shake.

Hannah had come from a rather strict, or 'formal' as her parents said, family.

Hannah heard her say that she had just found out that she was a witch last year. "Oh I discovered when I was six years old." "However, my family always knew I'd be a witch." "I'm a pure-blood so... they did have their expectations... That brought Hannah back to the pool accident.

Ivy had just changed the subject, as the train started moving Here we go! Hannah looked back at Ivy, she had asked her what house she wanted to be in.

"That's easy, Slytherin." "What about you?", it was nice to find someone as talkative as Hannah.

"So, Ivy, what are you most excited about Hogwarts?" Hannah had put her book down. This is a rather interesting conversation she thought.

The girl was happy to find someone she could talk to, not her dogs, far from that. Someone who she just had met. Ivy

The first thing Hannah thought when she heard was poison ivy. That's a dangerous thing, isn't it? Maybe Ivy would be dangerous too.

They happily shook hands.

"Yes it's the snake house." "Ravenclaw is the raven house, Hufflepuff is the badger house and Gryffindor..." "Is the lion house. The worst house, you don't want to be in Gryffindor."

"You don't have to worry about that." Hannah smiled, thinking about everything that her parents had told her about Hogwarts.

The conversation went on and on.

"What am I most excited about?" she grinned. "Probably Charms or Quidditch." "My dad was a duellist, and he's an auror now."

Right! Ivy's a muggle! She probably had no idea what Hannah had just said, but she did want to go on with the conversation.

"So, how did you enjoy Diagon Alley?" she decided on talking about things that had already happened.

Hannah grabbed her book again. She focused on reading again (still listening to Ivy, and talking) "Have you read any textbooks yet?" "For Hogwarts I mean"

Hannah did actually read most of the textbooks, except for the History of Magic one, she was planing on reading it now, but now she was talking to Ivy.

The book she was reading? Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Hannah had read this book several times, and she loved it. It was also a textbook, but Hannah mostly read it for fun.

She put the book back on the table. Chapter one, done! Again...

Ivy seemed probably better as they talked about diagon alley.

”Yes I also enjoyed Olivanders. she smiled.

She listened to the girl talking about the textbook and looked out the window. After this, she looked back at her and simply nodded. “That’s nice.”

Favorite place, in diagon alley? ”I liked all of them, each for a reason, but that would take forever, we’re almost at Hogwarts anyway. she looked out the window and they could see the castle now, but not much because of the fog. “I liked Olivanders too.”

Ivy looked at the book. Then, she asked if that was Hannah’s favorite textbook. ”You could say it is, even though it isn’t because I don’t have one, but you could say it is. “If that makes sense to you.” she grinned. They could properly see the castle now.

The stone walls the high towers where the classrooms were, and the lights. They’d probably get out of the train in a few minutes or so.

Hannah kept looking outside, she felt this pressure from her parents that she had to be in Slytherin. And most importantly, if not, Ravenclaw. It was her parents house after all, but she felt this pressure that everything was going to be that way, but what if it wasn’t? What would happen then?
