Letters home Solo

Clair had been thinking about home for a while now, over Christmas she would have the choice of going home or not, if she would be able to go back to the farm she would go. But if her grandmother had plans of stealing her away again than she did not want to go, and would simply stay at Hogwarts.
She pulled out some parchment and started to write:

Belle,
I am writing to you to ask if you have plans for Christmas, As I have not yet decided if i want to come home to the farm or if I shall stay here at hogwarts.

Short and sweet, it was perfect. She sent it off on a school owl.

It had only been a few hours after Clair had sent the owl, that the poor thing returned. It's whole body looked tired and Clair assumed that Belle had sent it back as soon as it landed.
She opened the letter,

Dear Clair,
I'm assuming you have forgotten how to address letters? Your letter's style was very poor.
Josh and I are not planning on going anywhere for Christmas, so you are fine to come home, Your grandmother was in contact with me, She might be dropping by at Christmas.
Yours Belle.

Clair crumpled up the letter and threw it across the room, "Urgggg." She reached in her pocket and fished out a cat treat, which the owl ate up happily before flying off. Of course her sister was being all snippy with her, after all she had left any friendliness out of her letter, so of course her sister would take notice.

Clair debated sending a letter back, but decided she would leave it, better to let Belle be surprised.
