Two day. In two days André would be 10. His parents had taken him out to daigon alley for him to pick out a surprise, "Mom were are we going?" André asked him mother, who was holding his hand and walking down the street. "Were going to get you your birthday gift!" she told him.

André had a smile on his face very Excited to see what it would be. Soon they reached a shop with plenty of animals in the window, Like cats and ferrets alike. "Your father and I have been talking and we think its them for you to get a pet." He looked at his mother. "Really?!? A pet? For me?" he was in disbelief. Practically dragging his mother into the store André gasped at all of the animals.

His mother let him look around at the menagerie, "Pick one out sweetie, but doing touch anything" she told him, André nodded and looked at it all. Walking around he saw plenty of animals. A beautiful black cat had caught his eye but he would keep looking.

There was a fish tank that had many kinds of goldfish in it. The ferrets in the window were very wiggly, and made André giggle. They were very cute. He walked past the rats to find some reptiles, definitely not. They scared him a bit. He saw pygmy puffs of pink and purple. They looked like they would be soft, but his mother had told him not touching.

The last thing he looked at, as he had no interest in getting a spider. Were the owls. They were amazing. He had to have one. The owls were in many sizes and colors. The one that caught his eye the most was a nearly white owl in the back standing on a perch, amber eyes locked onto André's brown. He smiled and ran to mention his mother.

"Mom!! I want that owl!" he grabbed his mothers shirt and took her away from the conversation she was having with the shop owners. He pointed at the owl he wanted. "his name is going to be Miko!"

"Oh? An owl. Ok! You wait outside and I will purchase him" He want out and sat on a bench outside the store, and his mom came out soon with a bag of owl treats, and food. As well as Miko in the cage. "Thank you mom!!! Lets go home. Now" his mom laughed and lead André back home were he kept talking to Miko.
