Nancy had gotten the small creature almost a year prior. The young woman had gotten lonely in her small Galway home and thought the little ferret would be a nice companion. She was not wrong, the little creature had become one of her best friends over the months.

Glancing down at the small white ferret was curled in the woman's jacket pocket, peaking his little head out every once in a while to see what all was going on around him. Nancy only laughed as she made her way into the Magical Menagerie. Nancy had not actually bought the pet from the magical pet store, but rather from a muggle one near her. He had been the smallest ferret they had and the woman had fallen in love with him instantly.

"We are only here for a couple of things," she spoke to the ferret as if he were a toddler she was taking out shopping. "I am almost out of treats for you and you need a new harness, this one is getting ratty." Gently, the blonde tugged on the harness currently around the ferret, looking at the fraying ends with a frown on her face. She had hoped it would last a little longer than it had, as this was the fourth one she had bought for him.

Slowly, the woman allowed the white ferret to crawl out of her pocket and up onto her shoulders, keeping a tight hold on the leash so the mischievous, but shy, creature would not take off running or attempt to befriend another ferret. She was not able to take a second pet to her new job so there was no point in allowing her current on to bond with another.

"Treats, treats, treats," she muttered as she walked through the store, attempting to find what she was looking for. In the process she made sure to avoid going anywhere near the other ferrets. Yes, ferrets were normally happier in pairs, but she was not able to care for another one. Clicking her tongue slightly to get the attention of her pet as he attempted to crawl down her back, the ferret perked up and continued to crawl around the arms of the woman. "You really are a pain sometimes," she laughed with a smile as she reached out and grabbed a container of treats before continuing on to see if they had any harnesses. Did magical pets even need harnesses? The woman thought she may have to go and purchase a harness from another pet store, but she wanted to looked here first. Maybe if she was able to find one, it would hold up longer than every other harness she had purchased in the past.
