Personality:Nancy is naturally a bubbly and spirited person, to the point she is rarely seen without a smile. She loves to try and make other people happy, although is perceptive and knows when to back off. While she is a ray of sunshine, sarcasm will occasionally slip through the cracks.

Appearance: Standing at 5'5", Nancy is of average height. Her medium blonde hair sits a little passed her shoulder blades, hints of her natural light brown hair peaking through at the roots as she grows it out. Pale skin with light gray eyes, she is confident in her appearance. While in a professional setting, she wears light, natural makeup, but prefers to go without when in the comfort of her quarters. ===================================

History of Nancy Grace McLoughlin

Nancy Grace McLoughlin was born on June 9, 1990, to Arthur and Elizabeth McLoughlin. Elizabeth, a Muggle-born stay-at-home mother, and Arthur, a Muggle construction worker. It was a busy household, the McLoughlin parents having their work cut out for them with three sons and two daughters. A lot of time was spent trying to find the close group of children or tending to their wounds as they roughhoused.

Being the youngest of five, it was no surprise that Nancy had some kind of association with the trouble that occurred in their household. Who can say no to the youngest child? She was either the one pulling her older siblings into the trouble or was guilty by association. Much of the girl’s childhood was spent grounded or assisting her mother with extra housework, her mother not believing in using magic unless necessary.

One of Nancy’s favorite things to do in life was to sit and listen to her grandparents love story. Her grandmother had been a WWII nurse, her grandfather a soldier. The two met during the war and got married as soon as the war ended. The marriage was against the wishes of both families, but neither cared and their love continued on until the passing of her grandparents in 2016 and 2024. Nancy spent quite a bit of her childhood believing true love was going to be a major part of her life and wished for a relationship like her grandparents had.

Throughout her childhood, Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. It was not uncommon for Nancy to be found in the garden studying different plants, or running back from the park followed closely behind by her best friend, Levi Shelby. Gardening was one of Nancy’s favorite passed time, assisting her grandmother in tending to her ‘prized’ rose garden. New and exotic plants were common presents given to the girl for her birthday and holidays.

Shortly after Nancy’s fifth birthday, her first instance of magic occurred. It startled the entire family. After coming home from school, the young girl realized someone had stepped on her flowers. It turned out to have been one of her brother’ friends when they were wrestling in the yard. Extremely angry over the destruction of her plants, she yelled at her older brothers. Every glass in the kitchen ended up shattering. Luckily her mother was able to fix everything, but it was a shock to her family.

Nancy’s years at Hogwarts were as average as it could get. Quite a bit of her time was spent int he greenhouses of the school or travelling the grounds in an attempt to find new plants. It was not a surprise that she found more interest in studying the plants than dating. Nancy told herself she was just waiting for the right person though. The most interesting thing that happened to the girl led to her first and only broken bone. A dare turned wrong when she was dared to get as close to the Whomping Willow as possible.

After graduating, Nancy started raising and selling her own plants. A small shopped popped up on a quiet street of Galway where the young woman sold mostly non-magical plants, occasionally selling magical plants to the wizarding families of the area.

In 2022, Nancy accepted a job at Hogwarts as the Herbology professor. She ended up only holding the position for a year before deciding to return to her small plant shop. This only lasted for a couple of months, selling the shop to one of the loyal employees who had been there for years. Nancy went back to continue her education and began studying healing. It was something she had interest in during schooling but had at the time decided she preferred herbology. Nancy returned to Hogwarts in summer of 2025 after learning the nursing position was open. While she had not fully enjoyed teaching, she missed helping the students and the beauty of the school.
