Falling Into Friendship
11-21-22
The sun shone brightly, giving warmth to the chilling winds. It was an amazing day, students outside chatting happily with their friends. And Roots loved it, looking around at all the different sites.
It would have been the perfect day, if their were less people. All the other students just ruined the atmosphere, some were sitting in ridiculously large groups laughing at who knows what, other were in the fountain "searching for treasure", and there were even students trying to climb up the trees!
Roots sighed, continuing on her way carefully. She had gone to the courtyard thinking it would have been the perfect place to read some good books, which she was balancing in her arms. There were about 16 different books in her hands maybe that's why some of the others were pointing at her and making weird faces. What was so weird about a girl pursuing her reading dreams!?
Whatever. The courtyard wasn't as quiet as she had originally thought, which was quite annoying. But she was in a good mood, due to all the books, so she could find a nice peaceful place. Stopping her walk, Roots began looking around. Turning her head, she spotted a nice shaded area with a tree near it, and no one was climbing it or anything!
She began walking forward, and to late did she hear the "Watch out!". A loose broom swept right under her feet. Roots fell, all her belongings (so basically all her books) scattered everywhere. But that was the least of her problems, because she was falling

Falling Into Friendship

Next time, please do not godmod me. So the ‘watch out’ is godmodding. I allow you to godmod my movements, but not speech. Would that be ok with you?
‘I told you to watch out,’ Cynthia pursed her lips. Look at the trouble you’ve just gotten yourself into.’ She was no prefect, but still, she hated it when things were unorderly, and they were very unorderly now. Cynthia walked over from the spot where she was reading a book. She grimaced and pulled the girl upright. She checked her for injuries. She was no professional, but she could see none. ‘You seem fine. I suppose no need to go to the hospital wing, then.’ Perhaps she had said it in such a way that made is seem as if she wanted the girl to go to the hospital wing. Well, no matter. Cynthia led her to a seat in the courtyard. The student, like all first years, had a name tag: Roots Hollow. Roots seemed like a rare name…. She had never heard it before…. Well, never mind that. She had long black hair, dark shining green eyes and fairly pale skin. Well, Cynthia couldn’t judge, for her skin was fairly pale, as well. ‘Hello, Roots — is it? My name is Cynthia. Please be more careful next time.’ She smiled, but it was fairly small. And she didn’t really know if she should since the girl just fell down.
A heart as cold as ice; a mind as hard as stone.
