The lights grew dim around Roots as she walked down the stairs, she could feel the air around her change into something colder and damper, sending chills throughout her back. She knew a lot of students avoided the dungeons for hundreds of reasons, rumors older students would tell first years, the fact that those placed in the Slytherin house slept here, or simply because others didn't like the feeling they felt when they got close to here. But after a few weeks of sleeping in a place like this, walking around in it was a breeze.
She entered the potions room with a confident face, her head slightly tilted up and striding in as if she was already top of the class. Roots made it 4 minutes before the lessons would even start, so she chose a seat in the middle corner, and began getting out the necessary supplies, smiling excitedly. Potions was by far one of her favorite classes, and it was easy access to, considering her home room wasn't too far away.
Having had all her supplies ready, and now just waiting, Root's mind wandered through the things she had heard while walking through the school halls. Students had said they where going to be pared up with partners today, at least from what she had picked up. Roots didn't exactly like the idea of being teamed up with someone else, but surely the teachers would put her with someone with the same intellect.
She watched as more and more students walked into the potions class, picking out the ones that seamed good enough to work with her.

Interacting with @Roots HollowDora walks into the Potions classroom behind a large group of friends, trying to keep a polite distance from them. Once in the room, they take up a large number of seats, leaving chairs empty amidst themselves as their chatting continues. Dora shuffles awkwardly, not wishing to get in the middle of some tight knit group, but her other options are limited as well. Friends sit with friends, and Dora is an odd one out. That is, until she spots an empty seat next to a Slytherin girl.
She looks around, waiting to see if this girl, too, is with somebody. But no one is approaching her, so the spot must be vacant. Dora silently hopes the girl pays her no mind as she takes the seat.
Up close, she finds the girl familiar. Yes, they're in a class together, but Dora is usually too focused on her notes to notice her classmates. Still, she faintly remembers this girl raising her hand often and getting House points for correct answers. Dora takes out her notebook, her name written in cursive on the front, and sets it on the table. She moves to find a quill and ink pot so she can prepare a new page for study.
