Kathy wasn't in an energetic mood today, she wouldn't habitually show her curiousity to the students around her, but something caught her attention quite naturally this time. As she took a seat near the Slytherin table, her attention was first caught by a Hufflepuff, who wasn't eating her food at all, genuinely unexpected. What was the reason which kept her waiting for the flavoursome food? Kathy better thought of peering at her, rather than interfering. After a while a Ravenclaw came up to her. Well, that was quite weird, there are so many vacant seats present near the Ravenclaw table, why does he have to ask permission to sit there?
Kathy ignored that fact, and kept staring at the girl. After a while, the fellow Ravenclaw too started looking perturbed. What was happening, after all?
Suddenly, her mind grasped the fact, where are they both looking? As Kathy detected it, her eyes too met a cat, a fluffy grey and white one to be exact. A cat on the escape, that was a ethical topic to discuss about with her dorm mates. Instantaneously she kept all her thoughts aside, while interpreting that it was not allowed to bring pets to the Great Hall. She was unusually getting excited, what will happen if the cat moves towards the High Table? She glanced towards the professors, to perceive that they were busy discussing something important, not that they will notice something as minor as this. The cat was moving under the Hufflepuff table, though Kathy wasn't able to see it well enough because of the numerous legs shuffling there. She thought better of it and made her way towards both of them, with her elegant walk and her Slytherin robe's end slightly brushing the floor.
"Hello to-" she ceased, the main motive now is to get the cat's attention, not the introduction. "Well, it's lucky that your-" she pointed at the fellow Hufflepuff, "-cat is not making any sound. But we need to obviously sunder ways to catch the cat, right?" She said, as looking at the cat won't be of much help, "What I actually mean is, we need to take measures to avoid it from going towards the High Table and get it attracted towards us instead. First things first, do you have cat treats or something that your cat likes?"

"Hmm..? Oh, of course!" Daphne exclaimed when the Ravenclaw boy suddenly spoke to her, looking up with that same nervous expression on her face. She didn't mind anyone sitting beside her at all, year or house didn't matter to her. However, right now there was a cat under the table and the professors weren't far at all. The more people around her, the less that she could hide this. When Oliver mentioned the cat, the tension in her shoulders left just a bit, as it seemed like he wasn't trying to tell on her. "..Yes. That's my cat. His name is Alduin, he's only a kitten." She whispered while continuing to try and beck Alduin towards her. Before she could continue, a rather elegant looking Slytherin girl approached them, Daphne feeling just a tad bit intimidated. She wondered if she was a first year, she sounded pretty intelligent to her. "...Well, he doesn't really like anything. He just does what he wants, he's a...different cat. Not your stereotypical one that likes fish or back scratches. He goes where he can get attention or places where he can catch prey. Maybe something like a light will help...like a laser pointer?" Daphne didn't know their blood status but she hoped that they both knew what that was. "Casting the Lumos spell to create a small light underneath the tables may get his attention. He won't chase it but he doesn't like bright lights." She spoke swiftly, as they needed to be quick. Alduin poked his head out from the table for just a split second, looking right at the three. It was like the little kitten knew exactly what he was doing, and taunting them. Which he did.
